I love hitting Puma on the way out east, though it did desperately need a trim. The local groups love this trail too. All the twists and turns really make you pay attention! Around where you did the drone video is the hill with the Poway Christmas tree (around this time of year). Always worth a little evening ride to go and see. :)
@@NewbGamingNetworks good point with the tree I hightailed it back before it got dark enough for the tree to be turned on. I should head out there when it is lit up. Seems like you’re fairly knowledgeable with the area, when did the trail Puma become a thing? That’s if you know or not, I discovered it earlier this year. But I basically took an eight year break from mountain biking.
@@simonthedog7980 nice, if you have time check this vid out. A new trail to me called Collarbone. Close to Puma. MTB San Diego Trans County Trail review + new trail? ua-cam.com/video/-xjlK8jnfb4/v-deo.html

@@rolpal619 I left from my house in Mira Mesa. You can park at Canyon Side Park off of Black Mountain Road and head East, a good amount of XC. @@bikeempowerment Yes, I ride PQ a lot. I can get to Trans County trail easily by the horse corral. How far is Puma after you go under the 15 and go up the punchy climb? Thanks for the maps at the end.
@@sdtrailrider8070 not far at all once you get up that climb. Just make your way around that hill with the flag on top and then stay to the right when you see some black top/concrete.

Yes it's cool, reminds me of tunnels. I recognized the bench spot. At the East end there's a tree fort in a big oak. The main lower trail can get soggy after rains.
@@jeffarcher400 👍 Actually there was a lot of water on the main trail. Looked like it’s been there a long time, people had boards set up to walk across. Have you rode the swing at the oak tree? 😛

Cool. Nice looking trail. Almost like the tunnel 4.
Where did you park or where do you recommend to park if I want to ride there?
