Late to the conversation but this guy is very knowledgeable and does a good job explaining things. The Motorex is very good two stroke oil, they have all good oils and a few years ago I have moved specifically to Motorex to include chain lube, yes I still lube my chain and this stuff does not flick off or make a mess at all. I also like the containers Motorex uses with pull out funnel spouts and they have good seals to keep the product on the shelf. All in all this is a top notch oil.
Have used the cheapest jaso fd oil for my 2023 sx 125 ( and earlier bikes) without any problem. Also did that on the sx 85. Never had a piston or crank failure.
Had my 300sx since October Only had a a chance to put 1.5 hrs on it so far. I Ran VP T2 cut down to 60:1 with 95 octane non- ethanol. Bike ran flawless.

@@kurtheidelbach 60/1 on the 300's! T2 is 40/1, if you want to run the same "type" of fuel as T2 which is slightly oxygenated, you can run VPR and add your own premix to get 60/1. VPR is the same oxy content as well as some of the specific gravity, etc. Good luck and if you want a better running ECU after you ride it, let me know, working on a tune library right now for it. I bought a 23 tx300. Fouled a plug once. Now i warm it up and blip the throttle and dont let it load up too much and its fine. Took me like 30 Min to change the plug. Thats my one complaint on the bike, i am in new england and it’s perfect for riding on my farm and the woods
Check for latest map update and have the TPS setting checked. I have a 2024 TX300. Got the latest update and now I don't foul plugs anymore. Plus, I can connect a pinit racing scan tool to the bike to read/clear codes.
The classification of oil for my fuel injected TPI smoker is JASO FD. The FD indicates it will work with injectors and oilpumps in the TPI, even at lower temperatures. For my 300 SX TBI its not that critical since the oil is diluted in the gas, I'm happily using FC or FD classified oil.

Also for the transmission oil change the stuff the salesman told me to get is the 4T but on the bottom it says for hard working 4 strokes. So I'm kinda confused with that
I’ve been running motorex 2T oil 60.1 in my 2023 ktm250sx and have had issues with fouling plugs on warm up even with following the correct warm up procedure

@@finndoyle4083 This may sound counter productive, but don't warm it up and go ride it...fire it up and do some throttle blips to make sure she is good to go, (20 seconds), and then put it in gear and go do a site lap with blips and small sections of getting on the gas here and there. It may sound like its loading up and super rich but it will clean out. I feel there is too much fuel at first fire up bc of the coolant temp being cold so the ECU sends more fuel to richen it up b/c 2 strokes like cold air but it leans it out. Also, try NOT using the cold start, (yellow button). I know I will catch some crap for this but it seems to work for a lot of guys. Are you a member of KTMTALK.com yet? Any chance that castor oil will gum up injectors? I briefly ran it in my 250 SX tbi and had no issues. Just got a new 300sx tbi and I wonder if castor oil could cause issues with the injectors if it’s used long term

I currently run VP110 & ethanol free super unleaded @ 60:1 with Bel Ray MC1 on my YZ285 ( big bore kit ) I plan on running this same fuel with Motorex on my next bike a 2024 300 XC TBI. Yer thoughts ?
@@stevedouglas1654 rule of thumb for the flashpoint of the oil is lower rpm riding lower flashpoint oil, higher rpm higher flashpoint...so like trail/offroad not wide open, Motorex is great, it's like 230 or so, hard mx needs higher like Motul800 for 480 or so..

none, I hear they "are working on it" but there are no new maps as of 12/7/22..bummer bc the riding season is coming up here soon in New England and this bike is not rideable in it's current state. This is very bad. There are more and more shops dyno'ing the bike and they are getting very low hp numbers.

Saber amsoil has JASO FD rating. I used to run that in all my carbureted machines. According to that logic

If been running klotz at 50:1 on my 300 tbi. So far so good. Checked my plugs after my rides too.

I miss the beautiful smell of R50, may have to try it out. However the bike is tuned for pump gas and cross power so i doubt i'll change it up.
I use this in my 2023 Husqvarna tx 300 the spooze so bad it gets all over the brake rotor .
Try running VP T4, it will clean it up.

I'm running 50:1 on my 23 250xc and seem to be getting oil dripping out of the silencer onto the brake caliper.

Motorex Crosspower 2T, it has a 240 deg flashpoint and good for a wide variety of terrains and rpm's. @@goon.1
