How To: 971 Panamera Air Filter Install
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 гру 2020
- We show you how to install or change the air filter on your 971 Panamera. This was recorded on a 2017 Panamera S. We chose to upgrade the OEM paper filter for a high-flow BMC Air Filter. Porsche has always made the air filter job a bit involved on the Panamera. We hope this helps folks out there who DIY.

All this work for an air filter to change is just mind-blowing, I just had it done, I wanted to cry. in any case thank you for this very good tutorial
FOR AN AIR FILTER?!?!?! WOW! mind is blown
Nice touch leaving the debris and leaves in there while putting in the new filter. 👍
Man...this really makes me reconsider of buying 971.
did you do it yet? i gotta do mine at my garage at work.. i know the techs are gonna scream at me when they see how much work it is...
Same here. This is exactly why I didn't get a 971.
I can’t believe I have to take my car apart to change an air filter
😂😂😂😂😂
My god. What kind of engineering is this to just replace a filter!!!!!!!
German Engineering.
So is there noticable difference? Between stock and this filter?
Wish I had known this before I bought my 4s
What’s the part number for the pull tabs that are on both sides of the bumper? Tried searching everywhere and can’t find anything. Thanks
Very interesting video I have a 2018 CPO 4S and yes these cars are very well engineered as far as how they drive and operate but when it comes to service and being practical they are not this is a textbook example Lord knows what a portion dealer will charge me to replace a filter like this. I am questioning my purchase. I have always had Mercedes and have had very minimal expenses for anything
is it a M10 socket ? Never seen this before
That's good to know, also worth calling out that this job on a car with Adaptive Cruise Control will require the ADAS calibration (up to $500 at Porsche, a bit cheaper at independents)
So $500 for calibration and $500 to remove the bumper to install a $80 dollar filter. “pOrScHe iS tHe bEsT”
this pretty much the same for a 2016 Panamera 4 Edition?
Remove bumper to change air filter. 10 minute job on most cars turns into 2 hours. Porsche fanbois call that, "superior German engineering".
💀💀💀💀💀
How long did that actually take to do all that? Incredible.
About 2 hours.
Porsche really likes putting filters inside bumpers.
Hey its the bimmer barn guy
Do many other car brands have the bumper removed to change the filter 🤦🏻♂️
You gotta be kidding me, all this to get 12 air filter holy shit.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣nice design. Thanks god you should not disassemble the engine to access the filter
