I can't thank you enough for this video. I bought pillow covers and decided to embroider on them today but since I haven't used my Fast Frames in a while, I forgot I had them. There is no way to get a pillow cover, tote bag, or anything "enclosed" on the regular hoop. Just when I decided I'd have to open up a seam, I went to UA-cam and found your video. I was about to leave for Hobby Lobby for a sticky stabilizer and you saved the day again by using a regular stabilizer and the clip tool. Again, THANK YOU!
What are your thoughts on fast frames vs ez frames vs mighty hoops? Which would be most versatile? Which do you like best? I just bought my first multi needle machine so need to prioritize the now limited budget.
Fast frames and Ez frames are very similar just different brands. The ez frame may offer bigger sizes which might be nice. I have never used the mighty hoops but the magnetic option might be a great option for those items that are difficult to hoop with a traditional hoop.
How do you go about setting the parameter for the fast frames.. i.e. X Y axis settings...the inside measurements are simple to convert... Thanks in advance
I have a Brother PR 620 embroidery machine with fast frames. I'm trying to determine how to place a child's shirt on the frame. I know to determine the center of the shirt and line that up with the notches on the frame. But having difficulty on how far down to place the neck on the frame. Tearing out stitching now. 🤪 And then confirming the machine's center on shirt to correspond with "my" center on the shirt. I able to do this on my single needle machine. But which of the 6 needles do I drop down to match my center if I should have to adjust by using arrows? Thank you for your help.
thank you for sharing. I would like to know where I can purchase Medal Clip Attachment Tool would love to buy it. I try amazon could not fine, Thank You
I've been trying to use these fast frames but mine keep bouncing and causing thread nesting on the back side of the embroidery design. How do I fix that problem? All the screws are tight so it's not that and it fits snuggly into the arms of the machine. I've lowered the stitching to the lowest setting possible (400 spm). I'm using a Babylock Endurance II. I've tried the same design on a traditional frame and it stitches out perfectly. It would be so much faster if I could use the fast frames. If someone could give me some ideas I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Hi -That sounds like a frustrating problem. I am curious what you are embroidering. Could the fast frame be too big or too small for the item to cause this bouncing? Just a thought.
@@themeltedcrayon6112 I'm using a 4x5 fast frame for a 2 1/2 inch design. I've added an extra layer of stabilizer to the top and bottom and that seems to be doing better but I still have to "babysit" it to make sure I stop it when it starts to knot/nest or put a hole in the shirt. I just had the machine cleaned and serviced (by a pro) last weekend thinking that might help and it is a little better. Just frustrating having to "babysit" it so closely and stop, pickout nesting threads and restarting. And it doesn't happen at the same spot, but random areas. I will try using a different font to see if that is the issue. (I use Font Engine with EMBIRD software). Thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it.
@@rtbrinkley9422 I will keep my eyes open for any solutions that I hear about for your problem. In the meantime, good luck to you. Would love you hear if you learn anything too. (: Best regards!
When tracing to make sure the needle does not hit the frame, it appeared that you were looking at needle #1 but your design required needle numbers 1-10. How do you make sure say... needle #8 won’t hit the frame? Thanks and great video.
Hi Erica, Thanks for the question. When you select the trace button(Button on bottom right that looks like a square with outline stitches) a needle on your 10-needle machine will move. That is your lead needle and that is one one that you watch move around your frame. This is showing your your work area and all needles will then stay in that area. Hope that helps! (:

This is a great idea! I hate using sticky-back, too and I got the Easy Frames for an early Christmas gift and I didn't want to mess them up using it.
Merry Christmas! Enjoy them!
Great video. Thanks for doing this. I have OSED stabilizer tape that you can tape the stabelizer down and embroider right thru it
Very Good video! TY. Sheila
Michelle and I bought our Brother PR655 just today!! Picking it up Saturday.
Can you please give info of that metal clip tool thing?
Thanks!
Oops! Just read your response below.

Where do you get your easy clips? They make the job look so much easier!

Looks like your EZ Klip tools are sold out again. Is there somewhere else I can purchase it?

How long did it take for this bag to be completely stitched? Ty
So you clip a non sticky stabilizer to the hoop instead of a sticky stabilizer? 😃 😃 😃 THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP! 😃 😃 😃
yep! I don't use the sticky stabilizer at all! (:
