I bet you that the best part of this show was written in the script like "lightsaber fight", a dies, b dies, c dies, sith reveal The fight coordination team took over from there ..
You're hilarious 😂 Subscribed since the last episode. Also, yes, I agree, the fighting choreo was quite good! The writing, however, is still crap but I'll still watch for Jedi Master Sol and our unmasked Sith friend :)
Imagine if the series had been 100% about the Sith guy with no Jedi. Really dark mystery type. Imagine Mickey and the Sith guy rubbing olive oil on each other.
how can the writing be so bad but nobody knows what's going to happen? there's so many clues people have missed and they are all upset because they are making assumptions or have expectations. the dialogue is clumsy on purpose so that the story can be seen from different points of view. it can't contradict itself so the dialogue has to be vague and open to interpretation without spoiling it.
I wonder if the order of episodes will matter when it's all done 🤔 there was no Force heal, he just rolled her over. a lot happened right after Mae decided to turn herself in so she's going to react to those things too
*What could’ve been:* ✅ Sith perspective story similar to Darth Plagueis or Darth Bane novels; Sith warrior and inquisitor stories from SWTOR. Qimir could’ve been the main guy. ✅ Mature and grounded story similar to Andor but with the mysticism of the Dark Side. In-depth look at Sith philosophy as we follow a master/apprentice two vs an entire galaxy story. ✅ Well-written Sith protagonists part of a two-person organization in a thousand-year conspiracy to upset the Galactic status-quo. ✅ New Star Wars timeline. Reality: ❌ The Acolyte…. “The power of one, the power of two. The power of many.”
It’s a great series! I just wish all the people that hated Star Wars would stop watching it. Your life would be happier, and Star Wars fans would be much happier for not having to listen to you endlessly complain, unnecessarily.
Btw I'm glad you enjoyed the fight. It was the best fight disney star wars has had on screen without a doubt. I don't think it lives up to the episode 1 or episode 3 fights though like they claimed.
The purpose of this show is to kill off the truth fan base and drive us All insane you have to drink 180 proof alcohol to enjoy this and seeing how the main actress feel so persecuted and she wants her skin color to be acknowledged I have been calling this show the black-o light
Manny Jacinto is awesome. I hope he gets to act because he can. It's hard to see him as a sith lord after playing cute stupid Jason Mendoza, but we'll see.
The only thing odd about that whole fight sequence - the Sith easily dispatches Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters - but the tiny girl-power padewan was a complete match for him in a lot of cases.
For the most part he was playing with her I think. For example, when he needed to chase Mae, he destroyed her other saber in a matter of seconds. I bet he wanted to simply keep her alive long enough for Sol to witness it and push him to the edge, like he was mocking him whole episode. As soon as he wanted to take her out, he finished her off instantly. Plus Padawans winning fights their masters can't is nothing new. Obi in Episode 1, Anakin in Episode 3 and so on.
Watching the Acolyte all I have thought about is "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter"
The choreography was actually solid. I'll give em that, but it's completely undermined by the mind numbingly awful dialogue and writing. The Sith explaining that he just wants to express himself and want "freedom" actually made me squirm in cringe. The fact he wasn't able to kill either of the sisters sucked.
I think he only calls himself Sith because he thinks that any ideology outside of Jedi ideology is "Sith". Almost turning "Sith" into a slur and he just wants to destroy the idea of the Jedi

3 eps left, let's see if they do anything else cool 🤷

Imagine. I'm sick of doing it alone
This is show maybee is goofy but ep5 is the goat. Pozdrawiam
"Did they just do a scene transition back to the same moment in time?" Haha thats my favourite part, top job 🇦🇺
🦘
Thank you for being honest about that episode.
They had the padawan thats 3ft tall put up more of a fight than any of the actual jedi knights lol
my guess is that the Sith fighting scenes are directed and written by a different director/writer than the ones has done the rest of this episode..
Your Acolyte reactions make my week weekly
asian guy aka discount ezra miller :D
You can tell this episode was mostly directed by the stunt team 😬

Just say no to drugs.

The fight was passable. However the show is so bad it doesnt matter. Nothing makes sense.
Yep the writing ain't good

Actually ok if you don’t pay attention. Thats improvement!

0:58 somehow Palpatine returned... 😂😂😂
'dont go back to the bugs' Australian should know not to mess with bugs. Good video 👍
I’d honestly rather have the Sith guy as the main character than the female character especially after that god awful music video the actress did
For someone preaching about not using weapons against a Jedi, he sure uses weapons against Jedi 😕

It’s a veritable rainbow of a lightsaber battle.

Huh weird venom mask blocks force mind reading? What is it made out of
It maybe is Cortosis which was first in a 1998 Star Wars novel. B-3 Battle Droids in Clone Wars were made of it. It shorts out Lightsaber’s.
That's pretty interesting
Wow super fast
Now you sound like my ex
Lol!!
Watching the Acolyte all I have thought about is "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter"
Right on time. Wasn’t sleeping anyway 🇺🇸

They're going to make "Sith" a slur
He feels more like a Sith assassin rather than a Sith Lord
Still cool nonetheless and I'm on board with Manny Jacinto as a Sith Lord.
I think he only calls himself Sith because he thinks that any ideology outside of Jedi ideology is "Sith".
Almost turning "Sith" into a slur and he just wants to destroy the idea of the Jedi
There's no emoting because the actors think the Jedi are the same as Vulcans. 🫤
