Depends on why someone buys a Prius (or any hybrid car in general). Some people buy them because they think that it will make them look hip and enviromental friendly. You bought the Prius because you did your homework, put in the variables that were important to you and the Prius fit the description. Not all people do that. A lot of people have no clue about the battery replacement. They just buy it because its fashionable to drive a Prius. So definitely you are not an idiot. And definitely you are useful :)
just watched this and thought I should mention that where I live in the united Kingdom, my father's Honda civic 1.6 diesel pulls really well and gets 80mph. I know that diesel in the states hasn't really taken off but in the united Kingdom we don't really see many hybrids out of the dig city's(congestion charge) because we don't think that 45 miles per gallon is economical. Anyway, that's not my question, do you think that electric is going to take off in the automotive world, I've recently seen so really cool looking electric cars from the likes of Tesla and BMW and have seen ideas for charging the cars from Qualcomm involving putting wireless charging plates in the road so cars can charge on the go, the only thing I could see holding these back is the price of the cars themselves(really not cheap), but what do you think?
Im not sure you explained the whole definition of what Wrangler meant by a useful idiot. I do not think being an idiot by any means could be a positive thing. I do not think you are an idiot, regardless. I drive a Prius too. I bought it because a Volt was too expensive. I drive it because I hate paying for gas and I am a bit of an advocate for electric power. Nice video.
You make several good points. I think that it is just as important to conserve the resources we have left as it is to recycle, etc.
You know I always follow you.. You always explain yourself well..
You're making a very good point here.
ShadowCodeGaming Thank you! Glad the message resonated with you. :)
