My grandmother's neighbors had hogs. When you go in the barn they think they're getting fed and they all start squealing. Can't hear a thing over them. NOT to mention it, but.... if he had killed her all he had to do was dump her body in the hog pen. Hogs will eat and digest bones, teeth, and all. No trace of her left and even if the cops did suspect him, no way to prove she didn't fall in accidentally. Every hog farmer is very aware of what hogs can do and have done.

There wasn't enough time for him to rush over kill his wife and make it back to where he originally was before his son was done getting water which was only feet away. Wouldn't he have had something on him to show he had harmed his wife like blood or messed up clothes? I really feel there is alot of possibility that this man could be innocent. He asked her if she was ok to do some work because he knew she had recently had surgery and he wanted to make sure she was physically ok to help them. Wouldn't that be what a good husband does? Checking on his wife. This either was an unfortunate freak accident or she was murdered by someone but I am not sure that her husband is the one who did it. Also why didn't they bring in the guy who was working with the security cameras and question him? I think he deserves a retrial

If there was a corn rake leaning against a wall and she got dizzy and fell or sat herself down hard against the wall not realizing it was there she could have accidentally impaled herself. It’s possible she might have gotten it out of her back, lost consciousness, and fell into it again. The handle, in that confined space, could have caused her to end up forward facing on her knees.
I find it plausible that he is innocent.
The fact that he was in the barn w his son is certainly reasonable doubt.

Connie Nunya Why would it have to fly through the air into her back?? She had just had surgery.... was dizzy multiple times and had to stop to hold her balance immediately before resigning herself to stop working in the hog barn and before going into her house she stood to go into a shed that had a corn rake leaning up against a wall right inside the doorway....
She clearly didn’t scream out from being attacked or the son would have heard her since his scream was so easily heard.... so that opens the door to the idea that she lost consciousness and when fainting she could have fallen into the tines of the corn rake. I could go on but honestly his defense sucked.

Because coroner ruled her death as a homicide .. They do that rather they know who done it or not. It wasn’t a natural death nor an accident or self inflicted. So murder is what she was deemed in the manner of her death. So the prosecutor can say she was murdered 1000 times if she likes because that is a fact. @Jeanne McCarthy That's exactly what happened because his defense attorney knows he's guilty. His best chance is to get an appeal and go from there on the circumstantial evidence. How can a suicide victim stab herself in the back twice with a corn rake? It was confirmed that it was a homicide and the only 2 people on the farm was his son and him. Not hard to hard connect the dots.

If you fall backwards because you are dizzy, on a rake that was tines up on the ground, you could raise up and re-fall after dislodging it and create more punctures then roll to your stomach before your lungs fill with blood. I think the guy is innocent. Farm accidents are very bizarre to city folks. But you see some bad things over the years, especially with augers and tractor roll overs.

So what would be the reason for 6 holes in her back when there was only 4 spikes on the corn rake?? cheating is the most biggest motive for someone to want to kill. All of the google searches about killing cheating wives & the cameras not working those weeks prior... that’s really suspicious & why would he pull the rake out knowing she could bleed to death a lot faster than leaving it in

David Farley seriously! Oh well, he can at least claim ineffective representation on his appeal lol. Like they let the prosecutor completely control the narrative. I honestly thought this could be a beatable case for him. Not because I think he’s innocent necessarily, I just think there was enough doubt introduced that at least one be person wouldn’t feel comfortable convicting him. The most damning piece of evidence is the more than one stab with the rake though, and it is a SUPER damning piece, I get that. If not for that I’d never be able to convict the guy.
Does anyone know whether the defense tried to give some sort of explanation as to why it appeared she was stabbed with it more than once? I only watched pieces of this one and I don’t recall seeing anything about that from the defense.

This prosecutor did a great cross-examination. She knew exactly where she was going, illicitted evidence (direct, circumstantial, demeanor) from the defendant. Cross-examination questions should always be answered "yes or no.". This defendant comes across argumentative wherever possible, he appears somewhat hostile and overly nonchalant considering the dire circumstances.

    Hello,
Obviously we will never know the truth in this. Butt I can say if I found my wife dead, like I have found my son, i wouldn't freak out. Some of us always stay calm. When you are faced with something like death as a father, you have to keep on being the man. It doesn't mean we dont feel the loss or confusion of unexpected death.

I'm so sorry you lost your son. Everyone reacts differently. While married, our kids went through their share of accidents and my daughter has gone through a few of her own now with her own kids. I always was calm with our kids because my husband would turn to jello and as for my daughter, she doesn't call the doctor, she calls me in a panic (I'm next door) because she trusts me to know exactly what to do all the time. I don't but she seems to think so. If I tell her one of her kids needs to go to the doctor/hospital, she listens. After all crisis situations have passed and everything is okay, THAT is when I lay down and ward off "the shakes" - something I've never let anyone see because I always try to "keep it together" so the others don't lose it.
