Eric, not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or if you already did it, but if you vent the big green tank you will have plenty of pressure at your hose. Just need to make sure air can get in as water goes out :)
Yes look like the air intake was bad i notice that too. the fact that water go on and off make me think the same. Eric Btw your pump setup is Fine, you are doing it right, But i see a lot of leak everywhere you might need to fix those. exemple : 13:32 and look like your tank is still leaking, tightening it was not enauf to stop leak, this is a red flag, you dont whant a leaking tank.
Hey Eric, you should consider building, or have someone help you build, a 24' tall observation tower. The platform could be 12' x 12', with a protective railing, and a roof. You could put a trapdoor in the floor for access, and maybe a slide pole if you want to get down in a hurry. Once completed, it would give you a great place to enjoy the views. Cheers
That was interesting to see the water delivery. It is amazing how many of us Nomads are setting up places to live at and not traveling like we used to. Nice to see the many ways to do it! 😃
I am staying out of town too and have grown very fond of post-it notes! I have become a "list"writer......and still usually have something get left off a list! Have gotten better at just giung " I 'll get it next time" but really irritating when I REALLY needed the forgotten something! Keep telling myself that patience is a virtue! Your place is coming together and even with a few inconviences you will roll with it just fine!
Checked the other day and figured out I bought groceries 16X in the last year. Lots of fresh vegetables last weeks such as carrots, cabbages, celery, etc. 😊 I also follow Emily and their adventures. For some reason I thought they were further north. I am going to that area tomorrow land shopping as I found a buyer for my Seligman property. Hey Eric, you still looking for a neighbor? I sent you an email the other day regarding the July 1st event. Knowing you have gotten gravel and a surprise I will wait until your video catches up.
I'm enjoying watching the progress on your new place. I'm curious why you went with an AC water pump? A DC pump would be more efficient to use with the power station since you wouldn't have the conversion loss. The view from your roof top is spectacular.
Omg! Your projects go the same way mine do...multiple trips to the store! Cracks me up! Also, that water looked heavenly. Real water enthusiasts don't care about temp!
Before you build a sun shade on the blue building you could just put a garden patio umbrella on a stand to shade the hot tub. They make half circle ones too.
thanks for the shout out. lol it always something... have to make trips into town for 1 thing. after 10 yrs i still do it. i try to buy extra of things i might need and still have that 1 thing i need. ,.. have a great day
You mentioned putting a lean to over your hot tub. I realize it will be more expensive but why not replace the whole roof on your blue shed, make it somewhat deck-like so you can sit up there but also overhang the hot tub. Might have to counter balance it so it doesn’t tip the whole shed over. 🤔
I remembered you dont want to call it a homestead because you dont intend to stay year round, but I really like this new chapter in your adventures. Well wishes to you and your adventure kitties. 😸😸
Just noticed excuse if I’m wrong , however did you unscrew the top of your water tank if not then the vacuum suction would be restricted it needs to be open for water to flow from the tank when trying gravity draw .
I really enjoy your videos and want you to know that,I personally, really appreciate the effort you go through to get these videos out. Hugs and kisses to the kitties ❤
I bet you don't know how he sold a death trap of a RV to a elderly couple and laughed about how he ripped them off. the RV broke down a few miles later and went to the junk yard. still enjoy his videos?
❤the property view from 12' up. Like someone suggested a tower for the view would be fantastic. I would suggest not using umbrella 's or cloth for shade with the winds in the area. A solid wood or metal pagoda style would be more sound coming off the shed. I'm enjoying this new chapter of your life as it looks like you are too😊
Wow, coming right along there. You'll get it all together, and lessen the trips to town. Happens to everyone. You'll be glad to have the spa to cool down, and relax in. Lol, and a big movie screen. Living it up there. Have fun!! 🙂👍
Good deal, all is coming together. You might be able to heat wrap your hose. I live in Alaska and have a tank. We have to build insulated watersheds. Good luck with all. 500 gallons goes faster than you think, especially to water and wash cars, etc. You will figure it all out! That hot tub will be amazing!!!
Welcome to the neighborhood! Very interesting to see you out here because I've been watching a lot of your videos for years. I'm in St. Johns now in our fifth wheel and looking for off-grid property right in your area in concho. Your property looks beautiful. My buddy's concho property is right near the jiffy store and it's all sooooo rocky right there... Need to look closer toward stanford general store I think. Looking for just about what you have, with lots of trees but still plenty of ways to get in and out. Also planning to get a youtube channel started out here was a big part of my plan.
And Eric lives in lone pine Arizona not hard to find from all the information he so graciously gave when he said go watch those other people they say exactly we’re there at
Bro, your property is amazing. That shot from the top of your RV is amazing!! Great setup, so happy for you. Beautiful property all your friends around you. What more can you ask for 👊🏻
Get a few garden hoses run them on top of babe th blue box put one end in the hot tube hook up your pump to suck out te water and put the other end back in the tube the heat from the roof will heat th water up
When Eric asks people to subscribe to his channel, it lists that he has 1.2 million subscribers in the upper left-hand corner of the screen but if you look on UA-cam, he has 237k followers. Can anyone explain the difference between these two numbers?
As always, great video!! Thank you for your smile! And I've got a few more videos to catch up I've been watching from beginning and you really really always look happy and I love that about you!! Keep them coming bud!!
QUESTION? I have been following you for years now and seem to remember you talking about a website to find fellow campers willing to let you car/van camp on their property. Do you remember the name of that site? Reason I ask is I found new employment in a different state and need to camp until I get my feet on the ground. I would appricate your input. Thanks in advance.
The only pressure you get is however much pressure is generated by the inches the water level in the tank is higher than the end of your hose. So if the hose is the same height as the top of the water in your tank you'll get nothing without a pump. If you can find something like a warehouse shelf system that you could put your tank on, you'll always need a pump. For every 2.3 feet you raise the tank you'll get 1 pound of pressure. So if you raise it 10 feet, you'll get about 4PSI at the hose. THIS is why when looking for property, it's best if you have a high part of the land so you can get 60 or 80 feet of head on your water tank.
Looks like things are coming along very nicely. As far as whether the water set up is right or wrong, if it works it's right, if it doesn't work it's wrong. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
We ended up with Clear Choice for our water delivery also. Great people, and great service!! Was your delivery guy named Chris? We're going to call tomorrow for our second fill of the IBC tote. We went through the same thing with the 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch fittings on the pump. Fun watching you set up your base camp while we are setting up our base camp. Another month or so before we'll have our septic in. Can't wait!!
He is NOT drinking the delivered well water. He is using it for vehicle washing, in the RV that has an internal filter system for showers and dishes, and hot tub. He said he is NOT drinking the well water but drinks bottled water.
I don't now if it's already been said by someone else, Eric: You should make sure that the hoses you use to transfer drinking water are drinking water safe. Ordinary garden hose can make your water taste pretty bad... not to mention can leach plastic into the water. If you're good with that, never mind. There are specific hoses, made for drinking water that won't taint the water. The place is looking real good, cobber. Enjoying following the progress. 👍
Why are you filtering the water You're not drinking? Those filters get quite restrickive pretty quick. If you're filtering the water going into your rv that makes sense.
Awesome base camp I had a similar hot tub when I lived in Maine. It was awesome. I used it to cool off never heated it so I guess I have to call it a mini pool lol.
Always a pleasure watching especially your constant smile now that you have your property take care love to the kitties Opie and Tara. And possibly the new addition to the family chocolate blue-eyed lab puppy.❤
I either don't remember or missed something. Is Eric getting a chocolate lab? If you are thinking about that Eric I would advise you to reconsider. Great dogs but are puppies for 3-4 years and are a lot of work. We are dog sitting my son's 5 1/2 month old chocolate lab right now. Beautiful dog, very cute but we are exhausted and with all you have going on already a lot of work. If you want one wait until you can find an older one from a rescue that is house broken and past the puppy stage
I had a Chocolate Lab for 13 years. She was a wonderful dog, after the the first year. She chewed everything up, even the newspaper.I had no shoes left. Someone suggested I go to the grocery store meat department and get her some bones. That worked. She was happy chewing bones , instead of my shoes.
I know what you mean about going to town. My RV Homestead is 16 miles from Perry Florida, which gets me small town hardware stores, a few restaurants, gas stations that kind of thing. If I want to go to Home Depot it’s an hour drive to Tallahassee and an hour drive back. But I’m right on the golf of Mexico.
I'm 20 miles from a farm store or grocery store, an hour + from a big box. You really have to plan. And study too. You're thread issue, ya, more reading before purchases. Been there done that, a lot. Really frustrating.
'Off Grid Eric' is looking good! I used to work springs and summers cooking for a crew of tree planters in the bush in northern BC and we used those kinds of tanks for all our water in the kitchen, which was built in a semi truck trailer so it could be hauled around. I had 3 tanks, about twice the size of yours, that supplied water for 80 planters for about a week. When it was cold at night in the early spring, and could freeze, I had to use the compressed air pump to blow the water lines clear at night. I had a large generator to power the kitchen that also ran the pump for the water. It was a pretty slick setup. Now, my husband and I live part time off grid in the Yukon at our log cabin and use a fire pump to fill buckets and water jugs from our lake. The cabin is uphill from the lake. In the winter it's a whole different story. We have to drill through several feet of lake ice and fill the buckets which then get towed in a sled behind our Skidoo up to the cabin. It makes you appreciate the simple act of turning on a faucet, something most people take for granted.
one thing you learn living out in the country is if it works and doesn't blow up on you its good. there are times you have to check first before you jerry rig something is when gas is involved and electrical you have to take precautions. usually country folk know these things but still make sure you do before messing with them!
Eric, not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or if you already did it, but if you vent the big green tank you will have plenty of pressure at your hose. Just need to make sure air can get in as water goes out :)

@@UnHappy-World Yea he needs some plumbers tape to seal those threads
I’m surprised that you don’t have an extra water pump for the RV. But after this you will have a 120v pump. Love the video
When the tank is empty raise the tank on a platform. 4 ft no pump needed.
That would require "skills" or call "my buddie Robert" to do!
Honestly, I'm really enjoying this part of your journey, Eric. 🎉 I'm celebrating each upgrade with you!🎉
Eric, you seem so happy figuring out this new lifestyle! Watching the changes in you makes me smile. Life can slow down a bit for you so enjoy!

great video! look into one of those triangle solar sails for over the "hot tub" its temporary and easy to put up/take down
I live in Sweden. We get -30 degree C (-22F) where I live. I leave my hoses out. Why? Because I use hoses that can manage it. Buy that instead.
It looks great what you are doing can’t wait to see amazing videos and improvements to your base camp

Eric, put the filter close to the tank, and drop the expanding hose for a standard hose.
You need a breather vent on top of the tank and it will allow the water to gravity feed the RV.
Same when you run the pump it has to be able to draw air from the top.
The only pressure you get is however much pressure is generated by the inches the water level in the tank is higher than the end of your hose. So if the hose is the same height as the top of the water in your tank you'll get nothing without a pump. THIS is why when looking for property, it's best if you have a high part of the land so you can get 60 or 80 feet of head on your water tank.
This is good information for Eric and the rest of us wannabee homesteaders. Thank you to both of you.
Love it. thanks for taking me along.
Looks like things are coming along very nicely. As far as whether the water set up is right or wrong, if it works it's right, if it doesn't work it's wrong. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
Soon there will be a new disney fun park at Erics. including a rollercoaster. peace and joy
Looking like a base camp and comfy too.👍👍
Why don't you have him fill your RV tank while he's there?
May have been mentioned, might not be an option, but any plans to have a well put in?
I would say add a sediment filter before the pump to catch any debris. Other than that, looks great!
I love the sparkle in your eyes when your on your land. ❤❤❤
We ended up with Clear Choice for our water delivery also. Great people, and great service!! Was your delivery guy named Chris? We're going to call tomorrow for our second fill of the IBC tote. What is your solution if water deliveries stop? Also, what are you using for additives to your water as it sits for safety and drinking?
Listen and he will tell ya
He is NOT drinking the delivered well water. He is using it for vehicle washing, in the RV that has an internal filter system for showers and dishes, and hot tub. He said he is NOT drinking the well water but drinks bottled water.
great set up Eric
I don't now if it's already been said by someone else, Eric: You should make sure that the hoses you use to transfer drinking water are drinking water safe. What makes you think your bottled water is any cleaner/safer than the well water you bought??
Could you put something black colored in the bottom of your pool? It should warm up faster.
In Louisiana, we have 95* and it feels like 109* at 1412hrs CDST.
Blue house work look great with a raised deck as wide as the structure since it is raised anyways. Nice chairs to chill on. No railings needed.
Why are you filtering the water You're not drinking? Those filters get quite restrickive pretty quick. If you're filtering the water going into your rv that makes sense.
Use a roll out awning for shade..
Love the American flag flying. God bless America and you, Eric.

Perfect setup! This will make for some fun videos!
You could easily use a 12 v pump to do the same thing dummy and you could get water out of the rv like i do

Good video on your home stay keep up the good video on channel thanks lee
Clean your water fill before you catch a STD
Open the lid on the tank it will flow then
To make it gravity feed open the fill cap on the tank. And it will fill anything u want

Hey Eric where’d you get them sunglasses? My husband kept going on and on about how he likes them when we tuned in tonight.
Keep the tub fresh by using some for toilet flushes, plus the hot tub treatment will help clean your waste tank.
If you had not given it thought solar panels placed upon your two buildings might cool wen you could afford them.
I was going to get one of them fly things & thank goodness the cashier told me it smelled like rotten meat.. ewe
Never dip anything into your water tank. That will contaminate the tank.
Ok ......pressure tank helps pump.....and yes , water works ....inside the shied.......cheers
