Fundamentals of Shaping Horseshoes

Hank Chisholm, CJF explains some of his techniques for shaping horseshoes at a recent clinic hosted by Emerson Horseshoe Supply and sponsored by FPD. He's working with a Kerckhaert Standard Max shoe, a generic shape that is easily made into a front or hind pattern.
Hank is heavily involved in the American Farrier's Association certification program and the fundamentals he promotes here are also useful tips for anyone working toward certification.
