Fantastic Tyler,I just started using the slide last week on the ukulele, thank you for your tips for the Tuning... you're the best,.. enjoy the rest of your weekend brother:)
Ok, heres a daft question... his c sounds low, mine is high, on my tuner I went from a to g then up again to c, have I gone too far, is c the first low c on the tuner? Ilthe string is so tight and when I went down to.the first c it sounds more like his but it vibrates for ages after plucking or strumming , have i ruined the string by stretching it? 🤣🤣🤣 I k ow nothing
It isn't a song, it is a blues rhythm in in C. So you can apply this to any blues song written in C, or you can transpose any blues song you like into the key of C and use this rhythm. You could even take a song like Hound Dog by Elvis and use this rhythm.
It would be a little redundant because you would play it the exact same way, but next time I make a lesson in this tuning it will be more advanced and I’ll try and remember the low g so you can hear it
I am a Blues Harmonica Harmonica man- 2 years in and I am starting to incorporate my Ukulele, this so cool. Great lesson Thanks for sharing What slide do you use Every one seems to have a different opinion on this Thanks again Cheers
Andy Dunn thanks Andy! I like a big heavy steel slide for my acoustic instruments and a thinner lighter glass slide for electric guitar. I like my acoustic slide gritty as can be and electric I like to try and get an Alan brothers smooth sound.
On both 1 and 4, tryin to play with a slide. Just tryin to wrap my head around the whole "open " tuning concept and it's kind of a stretch for me at the moment.
@@1962jinxyjoe what open tunings do is they make it so when you strum the ukulele without fretting any notes you get a chord. So “open c” means your ukulele is tuned like a C chord.

You can also experiment by changing the 4th string to a low G . I think it sound better on the 12 bar blues. T.Q. for sharing.
I have a low G in the house I just teach the high G because that is what the vast majority of the people out there learning have.
What is the lyrics and title of the song?

Do you know where to get a good working uk from?
Can you do a Open C tuning with a low G string?
