I still use waggles and sticks I made over forty years ago, some of the best winter nights where made up of me and my dad making floats, feeders, droppers re whipping rods, although I lost him in the late 90s every time I open a tackle box I feel close him❤️

What a lovely video, just come across your channel and have subbed, brilliant stuff, wonderful way to fish, I do alot of this style of fishing too, reminds me of when I was younger, being shown how to fish by a brilliant bloke who took me under his wing, cracking stuff, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

Thank you...Have you tried bifocal sunglasses? Saves all the swapping around when the fishing is busy.

What breaking strain line do you have on the light set up, I know from previous videos the heavier one is usually 10lb

On the light set-up Allan I use 6lb mainline, that's the Preston Innovations Float max in 0.23mm which is rather thick for the breaking strain, but I'm a bit of a belt and braces man at times. For the hooklink I use Drennan Supplex in 4lb or 5lb depending on this size/type of fish I'm targeting.
As you mentioned on the heavy set-up I'm using 10lb straight through or with a Supplex 8lb hooklink
Hope you're enjoying your fishing Allan.

Hi Mark, what blanks would you recommend in 12ft for smaller Bream, tench and specimen roach? Il be using feeders of the 1.5-2oz range to get the distance I need.
    Thanks,
    Tom

      Hi Tom.
Look at the MK1 Multi Tip rods. Gives great options regarding how you can use it, ( On buzzers or quiver tip fishing ) and works perfect upto 2oz ( 60g ) feeders.
