Did I wholeheartedly embrace a project that I didn't need because the price was right.
Absolutely. This vintage sewing machine "collector" gig is hard but so much fun!

Nice decals. Machine looks good. We are restoring one in much worse shape but a better looking table. Looking forward to you videos.
Thanks! Some of the decals on this old gal are decent. There was some "silvering" spots and it looks like one corner was lit on fire. Only if these machines could talk. :)
To restore the yellow color on the decals you will need a shellac. For a belt replacement, I highly recommend the polyurethane belt.
It’s an unexpected addiction! I had no idea I loved these machines, much less, that i wanted to own several of them! And yet…. here we are! The issue i face is collecting machines faster than I know how to work on them!
Hahaha! I feel like I discovered a strange addiction that only a few understand. Same here on collecting faster than I get to them. May you find some good chunks of time to enjoy!
