  • This is the ultimate Korea travel guide to Haeundae, Busan. Here, you’ll learn everything that you need to know about Haeundae, including all the best places to hang out as well as the best times to go to each area. Included in the video is an animated map of Haeundae, showing you exactly how to get from place to place. Haeundae can be divided up into several parts and attractions, so in todays tour of Haeundae, we went to;
    1) Haeundae Beach
    2) Gunam-ro - which is the main commercial strip in front of the beach which has tons of restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs within the surrounding area
    3) Dongbaek island - which has beautiful walking trails along Busans coastline
    4) the Bay 101 - which has one of the nicest patios across all of Korea and
    5) Marine city - which also has amazing restaurants, bars and cafes with scenic city and ocean views.
    But not only will you see each area during the day, in this Busan tour guide, we even take you back to each area at night so that you can truly experience all of Haeundae. Each of these areas completely transform at night, and regardless if you’re looking for a relaxed and chilled night out, or a loud party night in town, each of the areas that we went to have their own unique environments, and in this video I’ll tell you exactly where to go, depending on what type of mood you’re in.
    So if you’re planning on visiting Busan, then this guide to Haeundae will be one of the most helpful videos you’ll find. In fact, I have put together an entire series of videos that will help you tour around Busan, Korea.
    If you're interested in seeing Haeundae Blueline Park, and learning about this attraction then check out this video • Haeundae Blueline Park... .
    Of course, if you have any questions about Busan, and would like any suggestions on where to go or what to do in Busan, then feel free to ask me anytime! And if you’ve found this Haeundae Tour Guide video helpful, then consider subscribing to Somewhere in Korea, I’d really appreciate it!

    Leaving Busan tomorrow. Nice boat ride last night to see light show on the bridge, fireworks. Tonight walked over to see the night cherry blossoms behind Daewoo apartments. Great photos - even better than daytime pics.
    Too old for nighttime partying for this old gal!

      Any particular budget for the hotels? Paradise hotel is directly on the beach and it has an incredible outdoor sauna facing the beach ( you absolutely must try it if you stay at this hotel, its beautiful ). It's a bit more on the pricy side, but it's totally worth it.
      Shilla stay and Westin josun are also pretty good, but paradise is the best of the 3 in my opinion. If you want a more budget friendly option then let me know, and I'll give you a few more options

      Hey how have you been?? I haven't been there yet haha But if you are along that side of town, then you'll also be pretty close to Nampodong and further away but not too far off is gamcheon village. If you're already going to Huinnyeoul, then IMO you don't need to bother with gamcheon, but if you wanted to, they aren't too far apart. If you have enough time then you can consider 1) huinnyeol in the morning 2) Nampodong afternoon (lots to eat here for lunch ) - early evening 3) Songdo eveneing -- songdo also had a pretty good clams and seafood restaurant facing the beach. If you'd like I can find the name and send it to you

    Hello, I have completed binge-watching all your videos. Now I am even more excited to be there in October.
    I have a couple questions, what is the weather like during the 2nd half of October in Busan? Also I am torn between Nampo and Haeundae in terms of accomodation 😪 We are staying in Busan for 4 nights/5 days (arriving via KTX) and taking a couple of Trazy day tours (To Jinju and Gyeongju). Rest of the days to explore Busan. We will be using only public transport. Which area do you think will be suitable for us? TIA.

    • @SomewhereinKorea
      @SomewhereinKorea  8 місяців тому +1

      haha thanks for watching all my videos and commenting :) really really appreciate it !
      October here is generally still somewhat warm during the day, but it'll get cooler in the evenings. 15-20ish+ days, 10 degrees at night or so.
      Also if you're traveling all around Korea, Busan is also slightly warmer than the southern parts of Korea like Seoul.
      Accommodation wise - I would personally book hotels or airbnbs at either Haeundae or Gwangalli beach. I haven't made the Gwangalli video yet, but thats also an amazing place to hang out, especially at night. Both these 2 locations are pretty close to each other.
      If you do decide to book your hotels around Nampodong area, then from there, you'll be closest to 1) busan station, nampodong, Huinnyeoul culture village & gamcheon culture village - And those areas are great, but in my opinion, the other side of Busan is nicer, more to do, and really nothing beats chilling around Haeundae beach or Gwangalli beach at night.
      So long as you book your place relatively close to subway, its quite easy to get all around Busan with public transportation :)

    Thank you! Great videos. I’ll be staying with a family and then moving to the Westin. This video is very clear. I’m coming for, I hope, cherry blossom time.
    I’ve heard I can’t use T money card for subway in Busan. Can I use my US credit card or do I need Korean money? Can I walk to the cherry blossom street in Marine City from the Westin. I’m 75, traveling by myself, so restaurants (Korean food) on the main street off Haeundae beach you show would be appreciated ! Thank you.

      Hey Becky, thank you so much ! That’s the best time to visit! Not too warm or cool, and it’s certainly the most beautiful time of the year here. I’m not too sure about that, but my American cards generally work everywhere here, but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to convert and bring a little Korean won. There is a good and inexpensive $ conversion shop right on the main strip of Haeundae as well if needed.
      Yep you can walk from marine city, shouldn’t take longer than 10-15 minutes or so. If you don’t mind walking slightly uphill, Dalmaji hill is also quite nice + has some cute cafes if you’re into that. The one besides gwangalli beach is even more spectacular, and there is a good chance that you’ll visit that area anyways since it’s the 2nd largest attraction here. So that’s personally the one I’d recommend you visit if you only had to pick 1 based off of ease to get there & come back + the sheer abundance of mature cherry blossom trees.
      If you need any tips feel free to ask anytime !

      @@SomewhereinKorea thanks for that information. I’m a hardy 75 year old and walked a lot along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and trails in the Wicklows so will relish all the walking even uphill.

    Hello, thank you for your video😊. Could you recommend hotel/hostel/ guest house near the those attractions? 😊

      Sure of course I can. May I ask what your approximate budget is / night?
      Haeundae has some really nice hotels with amazing restaurants, spas etc, but gwangalli has plenty of super affordable nice airbnbs right by the beach.
      Once you let me know your budget I'll give you some suggestions 😀

      Thanks for watching 😀 that's a great time to visit, Make sure to bring shorts and comfy flip flops though haha still pretty humid here at that time normally. We actually shot the majority here with an iPhone 14 pro max. Not bad right??

      @@SomewhereinKorea Haha will remember! Wow, what did you use for stabilization?

    • @SomewhereinKorea
      @SomewhereinKorea  10 місяців тому

      @rigelr5345 we use the dji osmo mobile 6 with the iPhone. But if you're using a more heavy duty camera, dji also makes other pretty good gimbals for those as well!
      The iPhone also has an action mode, but it's terrible in low light and reduces the image quality slightly, so we rarely use that feature ( although it gives you an incrediblely stable shot, to the point where you don't even need a gimbal )

      @@SomewhereinKorea Thanks ! Looking into upgrading my own gear, I always wanted to buy an iPhone but maaan it's expensive, considering going with the DJI Pocket 2 Creator, but tbh I aso kinda need a new phone. But problem is I have a tendency to drop by phones a lot... lol! Anyway thanks

      @rigelr5345 the pocket 2 is pretty handy to have because its easy to bring around! But if you can manage to get the newest iPhone you can, then that's probably the option I'd go with because you always have it on you. Maybe just get a really good case haha. GL ! And feel free to ask me for tips anytime ! 😊

    Which spots/ beaches would you recommend for sunrise view in Busan? :)

    • @SomewhereinKorea
      @SomewhereinKorea  8 місяців тому +1

      Haeundae beach has a nice view in the morning, but I've also heard that 1) haedong yonggungsa temple is really nice at sunrise and also 2) hwangnyeongsan mountain top is also really nice both at sunrise and sunset. If you want to see what this place looks like, watch my cherry blossom video, and it's the first place that we went to in that video. You can pretty much take a cab ride to the top, then hike 10 minutes or so to the peak

    Marien city tall bldg is a result of govt corruption. Permitting bldge pass for high rise bldg in front of beautiful ocean view.

      That wouldn't surprise me if that was true. There was also a more recent similar situation about the LCT buildings on the opposite side of the beach.
      I'm sure those condos have nice views though 😄
