Very surprised at this list. Rune Bears, DS2 Reindeer, and the dreaded shark giants aren't on the list.
Winter Lanterns🤬🤬🤬
Agreed or revenants!
Have you played Shadow of the Erdtree yet?
@@bretth342 no how is it?
@@landismithCOJ they're back
@@bretth342And they can force parries to whiff by getting physically too close for you to land the parry... So you have to do a little half step backward before smacking the crap out of their faces with a shield.
Rune bears better be on this list. They are so stupidly strong
rune bear sadly a mini boss
@@yumekosakino2635 no it's not. It doesn't have a specific healthbar.
@@yumekosakino2635So are the revenants and abductor virgins? The lobsters and fingercreepers are honourable mentions but rune bears deserve high placement on this list hands down.
@@patricklitterallyit4164 rune bear is a mini boss in certain cave
@@pj9100 i actually forgot where we fight revenant and abductor virgin as a boss, was it mt. gelmir? and leyndell?
"You know what are annoying to fight? BUURDS!!" That delivery has me dying 😄
Bonewheels are a straight up 1:1 port of a certain demon type from Berserk manga so yeah... As with everything that Miyazaki does "Is that a bloody Berserk reference?!"
How is there Not a single enemy from demon souls
The basilisk are not only a pain in a neck but they are one of the scariest enemies. Those big eyes make my skin crawl but you encounter a huge one I think it was in Dark Souls 2. Then in Eden ring in one of the dungeons of the DLC you encounter the huge eyes of the basilisk which makes it even creeper.
I'm level 250 and still scared of runebears. How aren't they on here and the little knifey birds are? They're a piece of piss. One lighting bolt.
For me, it's the Titanite Demon. Small places to fight with large unfair hitboxes.
Not to mention they get tougher each time you kill one with inreased health and damage output.
Brainsucker is a boss in one of the chalice dungeons
Revenant also shows up as a boss in Luinaria.
@@chuckchan4127to be fair they're just regular enemies being treated as bosses, so that doesn't disqualify them.
Yeah, Winter Lanters deserves the #1. The ones in the dlc had me particularly tilted.
I got confused on the black knights asking ‘why just DS 1 and 3?’ then remember that it’s just their WEAPONS not the knights themselves, I don’t think their armor is even in DS 2
The Elden Ring Basilisks are the least threatening compared to the Dark Souls trilogy all thanks to one simple item: the Beast-Repelant Torch.
This torch that you can buy at the Nomadic Merchant in Dragonbarrow for 3,000 Runes. However be warned that this is also a Bell-Bearing Hunter encounter location, tbe strongest one thanks to tbe area scaling.
This torch when equipped (even if your two-handing you weapon and its on your back) makes smaller beasts not atrack you unless you attack them first, it also apparently delays when the giant Calied dogs attack.
The only exception to this is the scripted Basilisk attacks from the ones that jump out at you, but after that if you have the torch equipped in one of your two active equipment slots they won't attack you further. You could literally stand sorrounded by 200 of them but you'd be safe with that torch equipped in one of your active slots, however the moment you swap it off you'd be screwed.
The Warhawks (and other flying enemies) are hard-countered by Gravity magic, this includes the Gravitas Ash of War. The Farum Azula bird run before the last Site of Grace before Maliketh can be trivialized with Gravitas.
King Mushroom makes The Wall look like a squeaky toy
Abductors have a fairly logical hard counter, and that's blasting the crap out of them with lightning. They are gigantic metal iron maidens. Do the math.
Forgot to mention that the Basilisks in DS1 will also curse the player, halving the player's health pool.
Half of these entries are annoying, not hard. Brainsuckers, Jailers, Winter Lanterns, Basilisks, and to a lesser extent the bonewheels/revenants aren't HARD....they're just annoying and have features that make them unfun to deal with.
Rune Bears and Prawns not being on the list is incredibly weird.
You can parry Winter Lanterns. It cuts off the frenzy build up too. It's really tight tho...
I’m surprised that What Culture Gaming actually called the Basilisks enemies instead of bosses.
Where was the lesser burial watchdog, or Giant Crayfish? I'd say these ones are way worst than the iron maidens, who are typically only a problem if encountered in groups, Crayfish will just spam that spit attack until you're out of stamina and forced to get hit, and don't get me started on the annoyance that is the watchdogs.
Aaand Winter Lanterns are back
Any enemy that screams behind, then you turn around to see 3 more barreling. I get caught by the blind Albinarics all the time.
Bloodborne Winter Lanterns. Between the design, the sound, and the status effect when they see you, I never really got used to them, never stopped freaking me out. Still shudder a bit when I think of them.
Shadow of the Erdtree: [evil Miyazaki laugh]
Bonewheels are my favorite Berserk reference
Bloodborne shark giants. They hit like a truck
Did they forget about the frozen reindeer from DS2… I didn’t 😂
Winter lanterns or revenants for me! Hate those things 😮
You should TOTALLY play the Elden Ring DLC then! Winter Lanterns in the Abyssal woods, too...only you can't kill them unless you parry their instant-kill grab attack. HAVE FUN, TARNISHED!
@@runamerone5492their grab isn't an insta-kill actually, at least on Base NG with a blessing level of 12 and 60 Vigor.
I would know as I haven't died to it.
Playing Elden Ring and for melee build characters it's those enemies on top of a cliff throwing bombs or arrows at you. More so the fire bombs cause they take a huge chunk of your health and they knock you down and melee characters have no way to fight back. I tried bow and arrows it takes my character so long to take one shot we'll basically trade hits
My son said if you were counting /anything/ that wasn't a boss, Old King Doran would be number one.
I deal with brain suckers by turning the playstation off if they get me
Winter Lanterns are back in Elden Ring though
Bloodborne Sharks and Elden Ring's Crucible Knights are harder for me :S
New winter lanterns have dropped
Seeing the title I already know who will top the list those Winter Lantern. F those Mofos.
Bone wheels are a problem! Even worse when you fight them in Armored Core 6
Ahahahaha. I remember that damn mission in the third path...
Iv always wondered why Bloodborne hasnt been brought to any current console.
Braindead Sony
Giant sharks boys...... *shivers*
Subdermal Hematoma
Jailers should’ve been number 1 too
Am i the only one who does not think Basilics are hard? I never die to them, not even once, and always took care them with easy...
Love the black knights! 😂😂 and their weapons!!
Hardest than bosses?? Any NPC if you touch them "walls" 😂😂
3:22
And for those who are playing the Elden ring dlc......
U know what I'm talking about. >=( xD
Why always credit only Miyazaki? Do you think he made these games all on his own?
When mentioning Miyazaki, she often follows that with "and co" which means and company. Or do you expect her to mention everybody on the dev team by name?
Sekiro is tenchu on crack
Probably a 'skill issue' but I had no real problems with anything on Elden Ring except for the bloody Rune Bears. They were a nightmare I avoided at all costs.
Disclaimer: Since I don't play Soulsbornes, nothing I say is particularly relevant to the topic at hand. In fact, every encounter past the first few are torture sessions for me. I couldn't even get past the first boss on Devil May Cry 3 on easy mode. So, in summary, ever encounter is a nightmare.
It's fine not everyone is good at learning attack patterns
@@jamilchakir2581 I'm also not patient enough for defensive strategies. It's the same reason I don't play racing games. I forget that "braking" is a thing that helps, not hinders.
nope.
If Bone Wheel is on this list, Red Albanurics should have been on this list too for the same reason.
Dude, I know your angry because your race has been the target of genocidal Tarnished, but don't take it out on me and my slowass Godslayer Greatsword. I respect the scaling.
Every new enemy in the elden ring dlc. 😂
Winter Lanterns
@@bretth342 no doubt
Let's be hones, who here really believes Jess plays half the games she mentions in the videos that are clearly written for her?
While i know she doesn't write all of the scripts, im fairly certain she writes most of them and probably occasionally writes some for the other cast members. Im also willing to bet she plays most of the games she talks about, considering the clearly off script mini tangents she tends to go on about certain games.
No one has time for every game they cover in these lists, I'm sure she's played some of them. I think she talks about them on her own channel.
lol that how the industry works.. Writers write and presenters present and producers produce...
@@n.k.central8279 She ddoesnt write them. WhatCulture have a writing team
@HappyDays66666 and some people fulfill more than 1 role. And i believe most of the whatculture both write and present the videos. And some even write or freelance to other places like Jules.
