    I have a soft spot for homeless, no matter where they are, what sort of life they live or battles they're fighting, my heart goes out to them. Much love from Wash., DC

      Hoho Hoho .. don’t criticise, at least Gyselle says she cares about them, sooooo many people don’t even do that. You don’t know anything about this person, her circumstances etc, so who are you to judge ????
      Point here is, do YOU do anything to help the homeless other than criticising this comment ????

      @@MarlboroughBlenheim1 i agree. Its easy say these things. On every youtube homeless videos its the same generic sympathy messages. I think all decent humans would feel for any other human in homelessness or addiction but no need for every second comment pleading how sad they are.

    It's very kind of the shopping centre to open it's doors to the homeless at night so they have somewhere safe warm and dry to sleep, the governments need to build more housing, and halfway houses to help people get off their addictions, throughout the world there doesn't seem to be enough support from governments and it seems to be getting worse......

      dont know why they cant use the disused tube tunnel stations? but suppose its a health and safety risk but there should be a sign saying sleep at ones own risk and some sort of legislation to account for that

      ARGENCHANGO Guapetón .. that’s as maybe but do you actually know the tax system here in the U.K. ??? If your working, an ordinary person working to get by etc you HAVE TO, by law pay, taxes. It’s taken from wages/salary’s before a person gets payed .. there is no cash in hand for work done here any more so employers deduct the tax and give it to the system .... only the rich/uber rich are allowed to tax dodge by the government in power at this time, that is the real crime here.

    To me it's fine what the big guy is doing for the Brexton,food pantry but to me I don't think that his picture should be on a car and definitely not inside because to me he's making it about himself.

    For every action there is a reaction. How much is it costing for refugees, asylum seekers.When a country is flooded with low skilled immigrants. That will keep wages low and will be less jobs for the people off that country. This will also have a knock on affect for public transportation,hospitals , doctors,schools, house and rent prices. The government are for the rich elite why do you think less council and affordable houses are being built . Why do you think are national Utilities have all been sold of to private corporations. And now we are paying high prices. The rich elite are selling us out for BIG Money 💰. The government say we are over spending we need cut backs but why are their big loopholes for the rich elite with their offshore companies and bank accounts and tax havens. When all the tax money the rich and companies are dodgeing would stop this rapeing of the poor. The rich look after the rich why do you think government have not changed laws to stop the tax dodgers .

      steven that's far too easy a blamegame , the reason why we have so many homeless isn't down to immigrants it is down to housing stock being boarded up and left to house only cobwebs , do me a favour look up how many properties are emp[ty in the uk , and cross reference this with how many are homeless , then you will see the real solution to this problem

    Me and my parents were homeless after the mortgage crisis in 2008 put us there, we had 4 days notice to leave our family home of 19 years. The “American style mortgage” courtesy of GE Money left them with the last 9 months to pay all at once due to the crisis. fast forward to 2014... all homeless again, this time for ten days, no possessions left. Very sad, and it gets very hard in that position and tbh my life will never be the same again, i came to a point where I just thought fuck this victim shit, I had reached my limit and I’m still at it!! society can be so cruel when you are in that position. I personally made £22k in five days and then found us a house to rent where we still live. One day , I will buy my parents a home and be able to live my life how it should be. That’s my life’s goal. I pray every day for people living like this. Love you guys. Stay strong , remember who you are and don’t ever forget that YOU are better than these people who walk around day to day without ever knowing how lucky they are. NEVER GIVE UP🤞🏼

    the best solution is to pass a law stating no property to remain empty whilst society has a housing crisis , at present wempty properties outnumber homeless by 10 to 1 , its a simple solution and any govt could pass this law , but they don't , and instead the numbers without homes rise

    All the filthy rich should donate money towards more shelters. Alot of women are stuck in abusive relationships and they have no money or nowhere to go. More money needs pumped into drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres. The MPs need to wave their expenses payment and freeze all their payrises and the extra money needs to be ear marked for helping those who need it. I know many are beyond help but alot of homeless are down on their luck be it a relationship break up, a death of a loved one or loss of job. Especially with this pandemic, it will be tenfold the amount of families that will have nothing

    I disagree that people ignore them because they don't acknowledge them...in Edinburgh you will be lucky to find a homeless person that is genuinely homeless...the majority are junkies and alchies...we even have a gang of Romanians that I've watched meeting up everymorning to get there shit for sitting at random places along the street....then getting picked up later on that day once all the shoppers had gone like they had just done a day's wage.
    My point is that people work hard for their money and struggling themselves so why should they part with money for people that don't need it. Don't get me wrong I've bought loads for homeless but some of them are horrible humans...its easy to pity someone when younsee them at their worst but some of them are proper evil

    Homeless people need to stop feeling sorry for themselves; and they need to stop trying to get non homeless people to feel sympathetic towards them; and look for full, or part time employment through the employment agencies then save up as much money as they can; and look for roommate(s) to share the cost of renting.

  • @kernow24
    @kernow24 6 років тому +3

    most homelessness is through choice, there's plenty of support out there to at least get someone in to a shared house etc a lot of homeless are remaining on the street in order to get social housing rather than private renting, others have drug / alcohol dependency and would rather spend their money on their vices instead of sorting their housing needs out. christ, leave London and go up north and you can literally be in a social rented place within a week.
    the long term homeless are the worst, because they have chucked all the support out there away and more than likely screwed over everyone that had tried to help them, be that friends / family / strangers or charities / services
    as for soup kitchens, all they are doing is enabling the worst of the worst to continue down the path they are, a massive proportion of people that use food banks and soup kitchens aren't even destitute, they just squander their money elsewhere, all you see is a bunch of junkies and alcoholics at them getting free food so they can spend their money on another fix / drink
    i've worked with the homeless for the past decade and it's the same story of woe from all of them, yet in the main they are responsible for the positions they are in and remaining in, yes there are some genuine people out there, but they don't remain homeless for long, because they take up the offers of help and support, the long term homeless would rather play the victim.

    • @louiseelle3615
      @louiseelle3615 5 років тому +1

      Well said.
      U r completely right. At the food bank where I live, it’s always full of junkies. And they probably spend more money on drugs a week than I earn in a month. So why r they then entitled to free food?? They chose drugs over food! Really Winds me up.
