Storm Large is a badass. She's the one one who was consistently amazing, and she's the one one who every time the camera swiped past her during other performances was rocking the heck out. Her original was the best from both seasons, absolutely. By a long shot.
I just relived the season after 12 years. Thanks for the upload. Format of supernova was just awsum, it was not just about singing or else Dilana would have headed the band. I still think Ryan was a better fit
Now looking back, Dilana should of won. Lukas wasn't captivating enough, he should of stuck to writing music not preforming, people confuse stage presence with edge. Just because you're edgy doesn't mean you capture audience. Dilana could literally stand there and do nothing and the whole room would listen
+banghard When she did that with Lithium, it was amazing. I agree about Lukas. He's good at writing and I actually loved his original here - it's the only one, aside from Storm's, that I've actively sought. They've stressed before how important writing was though, and that's where Dilana fell short. Storm was the entire package, but she may have been too good for them tbh. I think they thought so too with how she left the show.
William o'neal apparently Tommy Lee and Gilby Clarke were not satisfied with Lukas’ commitment to the band. Also, Jason Newstead wrecked his shoulder catching a falling amp, so he had a replacement for the tour.
19:34, the girl with the black things on her wrists? I think she's Lukas' girlfriend. Not Kendra, but the girl he was dating before Kendra. I think her name is Francesca
What i dont understand is why couldnt they choose songs themselves that supernova would be the best judges of. Like King Nothing Metallica for Jason, Been Cought Steeling from Jane's Addiction for Dave Navarro, S.O.S for Tommy Lee, and Sweet Child of Mine for Gilby Clarke...could it be corporate network persons dictating whats supposedly network frendly. There are various types of rock not just "Pop" rock or top 40's rock there is metal which is true rock n roll which all the supernova members were/are
oh brother... yes the song selection mostly sucked but it probably had more to do with copyright/ licensing than being some conspiracy like you suggest.
thank you. I am amazed by how many people thought Ryan's song was the greatest thing since sliced bread. no thanks. I also noticed he over sang things a lot to the point where his voice cracked and it just sounded like he was screaming.
Headspin was the best song of the entire season, and is the best song on the album. Well written, good pacing. I didn't think Lukas was the best singer of the season, but he was the best songwriter.
Lucas' voice kept getting better. Toby's song was not a fit for this band. Too bebop oh oh, oh oh, ... not cool for these rockers. Toby is a good performer though.

I still listen to that song in 2020 she’s a major badass!!!
I truly think that Toby got robbed. He should've won. I remember watching this and being in absolute shock when Toby was eliminated
Nick94956 same. His original was my favorite of the season.
He should have passed Lukas. Heck, Ryan should have passed Lukas

no way... Ryan would be a great fit for a Broadway stage show.
Dilana just couldn’t write
I heard Toby is the singer of a band with one of INXS, Beers. Toby is extremely talented.
Brilliant job on Roxanne
Toby's, Ryan's and Lucas' original songs, especially Toby's and Ryan's were far more memorable than any song by Supernova.
Even Storms was more memorable. Storm's original was great, especially the unedited version.
Lukas. K not C
tracieMac excellent song
Magni absolutely nailed Hush. Deep Purple is the best hard rock band ever.
strange, I just found myself headbanging to Magni's song.
I accept Lukas was the best fit for the band, but Ryan stands head and shoulders above anyone else for me, with Magni a close second.
not a fan of Ryan. I thought Toby came on strong at the end, but I was cheering for Lukas all the way.
RedroomStudios me too! I rooted for Lukas from the get-go
I agree about Ryan. Although he was a bit to artsy/alternative for a cheesy fun rock band. Magni was just ok for me.
That first twirl and jump Lukas did on stage, I thought he wasn't gonna regain his balance
Case and point. This band no longer exists, so its almost laughable when Tommy Lee says 'That song isn't memorable'
I know this comment was 10 years ago, but revisiting again in 2024 it's still relevant. Magni's original song was awesome!
Dilana did covers like a boss, but I find her songwriting cheesy sounding...
what did you think of storms? that's my personal fave :)
Mine by far. I still love that song
Ha love the Survivor reference by Dave
yep, I got a nice laugh out of that!
What a shame Storm didn't get to the end instead of Dilana. Would have loved to hear another original from her. Dilana's original was not good.

Lukas not compelling? you have to be kidding... he has the best stage presence, crowd interaction and star power of any of them.
@@RedroomStudios What happened to Supernova with Lukas?
that's irrelevant - it was a stupid idea and would have died with anyone as the singer.
William o'neal apparently Tommy Lee and Gilby Clarke were not satisfied with Lukas’ commitment to the band. Also, Jason Newstead wrecked his shoulder catching a falling amp, so he had a replacement for the tour.
The top 5 should have formed their own band
I thought Ryan's Back of your car was the best, Toby a close second and Lucas third. Many opinions on this but that makes the world spin.
Ryan, Toby, or Storm should have won
Maybe... I’m glad Lukas won it
I forgot that Magni, Toby and Lukas provided backup vocals for Dilana!
Thats one of my favourite moments of the season :)
@@lilnikki457 Awesome!
I could never chose between Dilana & Lucas...they both have that something!! I want this show back to hear great singers like this!!!!🔥
Lulu M Lukas. K not C

Yeah too much coldplay and no led zep? Weird.
Hush was awesome. Best cover I know of that song
Ryans original is not good. Sounds like a Bush throwaway
thank you. I am amazed by how many people thought Ryan's song was the greatest thing since sliced bread. no thanks. I also noticed he over sang things a lot to the point where his voice cracked and it just sounded like he was screaming.
😆😆😆
Any of these 4 could've fronted that band.
Okay.... Lukas. It's a K not a C. People keep spelling his name wrong. These are some really awesome performances
Let it go... my daughter Sofia constantly gets Sophia and my husband Bryan gets Brian all the time and they honestly don’t care
MakeupMama68 okay okay

1q
:) Lukas writes some really good material
Hush was the wrong song
I tried to give Lukas some praise, but frankly he vomits his words. Blah blah blah blah🤮🤮🤮🤮

Trent Hogan that dude's voice sounds like cats hanging by their neck from a tree absolutely horrible
Amazing voice.
Lukas. K not C. Lukas is amazing!
