Storm's performance with Dave is the only one for the entire show that had me wishing I was there in person to see. That was fantastic - loved their chemistry! When he kissed her on the cheek... shit. Then she rocks the hell out of the room with that original! Man, I still love that song.
Kavisha18 Not totally true, she filled for the Pink Martini's singer who had throat surgery (and was asked to stay with them as co-lead singer), sang with Portland's orchestra and still has the energy to still do her own thing. She wrote a best selling book, released 2 solo CD's and is ready to release another CD in a few weeks. Take a look at Angels in Gas Stations as well to see what a fantastic and versatile artist and writer she really is.
Well, Storm should have just won the competition right there. Suffragette City is a perfect song in and of itself, and she rocked it. Her original was awesome as well.
It's a crime that the backup band didn't get more fame and a longer time in the spotlight as a "real" band. They could play circles around every member of Supernova. They all have solid careers but this lineup could have had some long time greatness.
My issue with this show is that lucas could not sing the original like it was so he altered them all so he could perform them which didn't give him a challenge at all while the other performers would perform it the original way to challenge themselves as vocalists and he wins for making every song in history sound the exact same. It reminds me of a creed album where every song songs the exact same.
Toby was the best overall fit for the band. Storm was the second. I think they 1: didn't really want a woman, and 2 they were intimidated by Storm's professionalism. They wanted someone they could mold/mentor. Also Toby's voice/personality was more suited to their music, but hey.
He can hardly sing anything outside his own personal style, which is the only one he can pull off because he has a shitty vocal technique, and he strains his voice so much that is painful to watch him. And sorry but he makes everything sound creepy, strained, depressive and pretentious. If Supernova failed, it was in part because he was the wrong singer for the band. He belonged to an emo, dark band, not to a project like Supernova, conformed by people that like an entirely different type of rock. That and of course the fact the band was plastic and rock was no longer mainstream were the reasons Supernova flopped, but if they had had Toby, for example, maybe he could have helped a bit. He's as good as Lukas, minus the terrible technique, the arrogance and the emo personality taken out of a Tim Burton film.
Dilana---Here's the deal---You are rude and ignorant--- but also brilliantly talented!!! Do i like you??? No. Do i respect your talent?? Yes. Not that you care.
How Lukas ended up in the bottom three for those two songs is beyond me. I think he sang really well. Also, did Lukas get hair extensions? His bangs are not that long.
Oh wait a minute- has someone uploaded Lukas performing this song with a mirror? I’ve seen it as him playing guitar with his right hand, but this video shows him playing with his left, which is correct because Lukas is left-handed
@apocalypse4720 you really want that to be a narrative, but you're wrong. He didn't change song arrangements because he couldn't handle them, he was doing it to fit who he is and who the band was.
Dilana still trying to get people to feel sorry for herself after her bonehead move a few episodes prior with her goofy original song. Dave: "You never would have known that you tore your calf muscle, you sang so well". The rest of the world "You sing with your calf muscle? Learn something new every day". As far as the originals go, Magni's was ok, Dilana's was garbage, Lukas had a great chorus, but Toby and Storm had excellent overall songs.
@@thesingleequestrian413 Announced what? That it happened? That was the producers call because it's a storyline. It's about Dilana because of how she played it up for sympathy. That's what she did the whole time after she started imploding, played for sympathy. Real people play it off like it's no big deal....which it wasn't, because a calf doesn't do anything your voice or songwriting. Getting on stage with an mild injury is nothing impressive.
I didn't know anything about it until brooke announced it. Maybe I missed dilana talking about it? I don't believe it was for sympathy, she got into the music, just my observation.
Dilana's original song sounded like a joke song my friends and I wrote in elementary school. that was not good at all. Toby & Storm had the best originals. Lukas's was ok but not great.
Storm “here’s another rock sing along?” Right before singing an original song no one’s ever heard (and thankfully will never hear again). Kidding, the chorus was decent.

I forgot to say, but look how fucking JEALOUS Dilana is through BOTH of Storm's performances! That pill can't take any heat, geez.
I think I would rather hear a beep or audio cut out rather than her having to change her lyrics
Magni was already a very successful and popular singer in Iceland and Europe with 6 albums charted. His voice is liquid gold!
Storm `s performances were the best of the night
I truly wish we had a chance to hear another one of Ryan’s originals in this episode.
What a magnificent original song.....I still remember it this many years on....I hope Storm has made it big...she deserves it xx

Jen Wood I still listen to that song in 2020.. freaking love it

um, no.

Dilannas first verse on Behind blue eyes was fantastic. She sang it in a way she hadn't yet. Higher pitch and no rasp. Really liked it
Well it's 2018 and I'm reminiscing about Supernova. What coulda been.
2020 now, and I still sometimes wonder if there would have been a way for them to last longer than one album and one tour.
🤣🤣🤣
Storm Large, what a performer!
Toby had the best original song!
agreed.

I now Love Magni original....

Storm was not 2nd best. she was 5th - exactly where she actually ended up. intimidated by her? get the fuck out of here. she simply wasnt that good.
Am I the ONLY person who doesn't believe Dilana was hurt?
Haha I was literally just thinking the same.
Toby is very consistent.
LUKAS for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magni had the better original of any
I really liked Lukas's original song
Lucas' original was awesome as was his performance.
+Trent Hogan I have to admit... I never liked anything Lucas did. He acted like a punk. His voice was lame. I see why the band failed.
I think he's great. The band failed bcz of Tommy's drug addiction and a market moving towards the shit they now play on FM radio
Lukas. K not C. And yes, both songs he did were well done. I was surprised he played guitar right handed instead of left handed.

@@JaguarStar999 Sometimes you need arrogance to be in a rock band. Dave Navarro said that to Lukas way early in the season.
Love Storm’s song
Dilana---Here's the deal---You are rude and ignorant---
but also brilliantly talented!!!
Do i like you??? No.
Do i respect your talent?? Yes.
Not that you care.
Who came up behind Toby while he was singing? What the hell was he doing? Thanks
Damn Toby....!!!
these dudes in supernova are high they don't seem to be able to move on from the 80's and 90s and get the change that music has moved into
There a reason it's called ROCK Star Supernova, not Autotune Hip Hop Star Supernova.
How Lukas ended up in the bottom three for those two songs is beyond me. I think he sang really well. Also, did Lukas get hair extensions? His bangs are not that long.
How did toby not win this?
🤣🤣🤣🤣. Here for the Laughs.
Lukas's killed it! He's the best stage performer and a true rocker. I think he won it the first day, remember he didn't even sing.
Oh wait a minute- has someone uploaded Lukas performing this song with a mirror? I’ve seen it as him playing guitar with his right hand, but this video shows him playing with his left, which is correct because Lukas is left-handed
I wanted to hear Lukas do behind blue eyes.
Yeah me too
He would of had to alter it just like the rest of the songs he performed because he couldn't perform it at all.
@apocalypse4720 you really want that to be a narrative, but you're wrong. He didn't change song arrangements because he couldn't handle them, he was doing it to fit who he is and who the band was.
Gilby hates lyrics. I would love him to tell Greg Graffin of Bad Religion that his lyrics are to literal

Paul Carr She became so cringe, personally and with that awful original song. “Super soul” lol
But Brooke announced it...so how is that about Dilana?

why are they saying BJ is tough to sing? no hes not
Storm greater than Tara Solane Suffragette City...
I copied Lukas' outfit for Halloween one year.
Taylor Lange That's so awesome! I'd love to see pics of that! XD
@@alaizabelcray9744 I used to have one, but I don't anymore which is a shame because I wanted to send a picture of it to Lukas
It's so sad cuz Dilana is the best singer and performer on show but her personality ruins it.
and poor song writing.
Dilana's original song sounded like a joke song my friends and I wrote in elementary school. that was not good at all. Toby & Storm had the best originals. Lukas's was ok but not great.
Lucas looks emo
@Waitingfor Thedaytoend No he isn't.
Lukas Rossi just dropped a new single called I’m Just Human. Go check it out! It’s on UA-cam and iTunes!
So Lukas had the lowest votes at that point?
I suppose so. Don't know why, as he's done so well the whole series!
Storm “here’s another rock sing along?” Right before singing an original song no one’s ever heard (and thankfully will never hear again). Kidding, the chorus was decent.
Lukas sings everything the same.....with that singer, obviously, the band has a big failure fate in his way.....
I didn't like storms songs
I didn't like it either
