She's part of the Greatest Generation- that World War II era of people born to greatness and accomplishing great things for humanity - and in this case in the entertainment world. That generation had such spectacular talents - it spawned Robert Goulet and Richard Burton and Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and Cyd Charisse and Donald O'Connor and Judy Garland and Andy Williams and Steve Lawrence and Carol Burnett and then Barbra Streisand and eventually Celine Dion.
There just aren't any greats like that anymore. That generation that had Andrea Bocelli and Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti were the best.About the only ones who even come close in this day and age are Amy Grant and Ariana Grande.
Julie Andrews is the best. And to top it off she's a great and true lady in every sense of the word. She's polite and gracious and socially adept and has a fantastic sense of humor and elegance and grace.
