I remember being in my seat, up high as the truck pulled onto the floor thinking "what is going on??" then as the set break ended we see them walking to the truck not having a clue what was about to happen.......this was my 2nd new year run in a row, I went the following year too! This band means so much to me and so many.
gamehengeful I hear you brother. I’ve been on board since summer 1994 at Jones beach. I’ve seen them over 100 times and I still get shivers up my spine every show.
Glide 00:45 Llama 5:18 Colonel Forbin's Ascent > Fly Famous Mockingbird 9:52 Fuck Your Face 23:45 Reba 26:03 Icculus 38:28 The Lizards 45:05 Split Open and Melt 55:04
That slow llama @Mothership in 2018 was a mind bender. I loved it, but then the guy next to me leans over and says "I've been chasing Llama for 40 shows, and that's what I get??!?! Da fuck."
That show, 8/14/15, is my one and only birthday show, and I like the tempo in the slower paced, less frenetic(and teetering on the cusp of control) opener at Walnut Creek where the band seem to like the occasional shenanigan inserted into the evening. They did it again in August of 2018 with their Runaway Makisupian Jimalope in Set 2.... #bestbandever

I was on the floor and had to move to make room for the truck. I was confused to say the least, especially given my fungal state of mind.

Thanks for Sharing the Groove. My favorite NYE set ever!!!
The Fobin>Mockingbird actually brings tears to my eyes. So sick.
Fantastic! I remember dancing my ass off to this one!
Mockingbird has to be one of the most difficult songs to play. Such a beautiful tune.
Ty for sharing 💓
just read the fucking book man
ever since they played Llama slow in Raleigh, I don't like hearing it normal speed. Weird.
apunc1 not wierd, insightful. it's much better slow. it's like a brand new song.
apunc1 I need the speed, leave on it on press, depress, depress!
