So wonderful to see the shearing and the steps -- I've been lucky to attend one once and it was amazing to see how shearing actually happens and the incredible shearers (it was a woman where I was too -- so thrilled to see the strength of women in the profession). Welcome to Lewis and how adorable to introduce him to the sheep already. Thanks for sharing -- and can't wait for Savage Heart Farm's wool offerings. 🥰

Is Gwen the sheep whisperer? They were so docile , great video
She is the best!
Congrats on the baby! I’m amazed at how seemingly easy Gwen makes wrangling those sheep around look. A question. I know lambing season is around now too. Do you shear the sheep before or after they’ve had their lambs?
We shear about 3 weeks before lambing begins. Getting all that wool out of the way helps us know what's going on when signs of labor begin!
Peg, did your sister ever share that cake recipe as promised longgggg ago? Would love to have it!
Welcome Lewis
Here is where Eileen's Carrot cake recipe came from: www.livewellbakeoften.com/the-best-carrot-cake-recipe/. :)
