This sounds like King and Berdly(From Deltarune) talking to each other, honestly if Berdly had been in the first chapter he would have tried to work with the King.
nah, i dont think berdly is enough of a bad person to work with king. queen bribed him AND acted like she had good intentions in mind, king is just straight up evil.

Because Lancer's powerful and I think Berdly would try to use that to get ahead(the same way he uses Noelle to get ahead in grades)
