Thank you for sharing the issues in your beautiful garden. I am in North Carolina US. We had no rain for the month of June and very hot, so watering every day. Then in July we have been getting too much rain. I am worried about root damage from the abundance of rain in thick heavy clay soil. Still hot, and 90 percent humidity. It is always a welcome challenge to learn what the plants are able to deal with. Just hope I do not lose too many plants. Keep the videos coming. Love your channel.
In North Carolina as well. I have lost more plants than years past too, but I can see my clay soil getting better after years of adding compost and mulch. That gives me hope for the future.
Marta, I LOVE your garden. It is classic, but also abundant looking. Interesting hardscape and features throughout, but not overdone. So many plants catch my attention, but it is also a soothing space. And, oh my goodness, that wall of Supertunias! An absolutely beautiful garden! ❤ I was inspired to try some things in my garden. Thank you for sharing your garden. ❤ I enjoyed "walking" through your garden with you. You have a pleasant, cheerful and relatable personality. The whole video was very well done. ❤ I live in the Rocky Mountains of the United States, so with our dry weather and high elevation, that bring late springs and early winters, we have a lot of challenges. Do you have a video about how your wall of Supertunias was built? How many plants did you use to make your wall of Supertunias (just the three level part, not the sides)?
Here in 🇨🇦, boxwood caterpillars/moths have attacked boxwood bushes over the last couple of years . I don’t have as many and I use BTK as prevention. I’m starting to use yew bushes instead.Your gardens are stunning!
Your gardens are such an inspiration. I"m thinking of expanding a long bed along the property line but then I know I'll have more to take care of! Yes, please do a video on lavender pruning. I am in Washington state, USA zone 8b. My favorite annual this year is the Proven Winners Surefire Begonia. It is doing amazing in a couple of my containers. Next year I plan to use a lot more of them and also in the ground.
Hi Marta, here in the UK we have had a mix of weather. Very hot then cooler and rain. My phlox are the best they have ever been and have become very tall. I absolutely love your petunia wall. Your new front border looks beautiful.
Marta, your garden always looks so lovely. I wish I could get my supertunias to bloom like that! It has been a record summer for heat and humidity here in Massachusetts but at least the rain has been consistent. Weeding is my therapy. I listen to my audiobook and forget the world for a little while. (Listening to the Wolf Hall series by Hilary Mantel and narrated by Ben Miles. So good!)
I’m in Michigan US. Our summer has been very hot this year but we have gotten a lot of rain. My Bobo hydrangeas that are normally fine with the afternoon sun seem to be suffering a little. I’m giving them extra water but some of the blooms have turned brown. I clipped some off to make it look a little fresher.
Marta your gardens despite your holiday and heat still look lovely . I’m in West Virginia USAhottest on record. Yes one must supplement watering even after rains it seems the heat created more thirst. So many of my perennial bloomed quickly and then died back in the heat. Assessing removing those and replacing with more heat and drought tolerant. Challenges yes but buying new plants to try always fun . My garden is 32 years old so wow time for change right?? You have such wonderful info looking forward to the lavender pruning video. Thsnks for such informative videos.
Thank you, Marta, for sharing your garden challenges. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area & this summer has been extraordinarily hot also. White flies, bud worms, & spider mites are very difficult to get rid of.
Marta Your garden is always such an inspiration ❤😮 Hot and humid in the US Midwest Kansas City area. I have terrible powdery mildew on my peony leaves again this year. Thinning them and Ani-fungal spay not helping This is the 3rd year. Think I will chop them to the ground and be done with them!!
Here in the North of France the weather has been mostly cool with a lot of rain. The garden, however, is thriving, and the vegetable patches just keep giving. Next year, I will mot use cosmos it's such a thug and takes up so much space, branches everywhere, and still no flowers. Also, I have to remove some equinops because it gets far too big, I must say, though, that it is stunning. The sun flowers are a great success, and the star this year is my David Austin rose, Lady of shallot. Only 2nd year in the garden, and she just keeps giving. The dahlias are only just starting to bloom, but I think I will not be disappointed. Thanks for sharing your garden.😊
Thank you for sharing your struggles. We’re in Western Pennsylvania and while we usually have plenty of rain, our July was extremely hot-90’s-and no rain for over 3 weeks and my plants and grass really suffered. I’m fortunate to have a drip system but even that couldn’t keep up with the heat and humidity. Luckily we’ve been blessed with several inches of rain in the past 10 days but so much damage is unreversable at this point. That’s gardening🤷♀
My sister and I both love gardening and we share our plants with each other. Last year I gave my sister a yellow rose and she gave me a sampling of her tall garden phlox which look glorious in my garden at the moment.
Hello Marta! I just found your page and have been watching as they come up on YT. You mentioned a spray for the boxwoods, what was the name you mentioned we could find it under in America? Amazing garden you have, excited to see more. Thank you in advance.
Oh that's wonderful you got away for a vacation! I have to say I am loving the euphorbia (glamour) I planted! When I first planted it they seemed so scraggly but wow super pretty now and I have chamomile coming up through it and I love the look. I am also struggling with so many ants, and yes it's been hot here as well. 28c with the humidex making it feel like 36c.
Hi Marta, I love your channel and have watched you all summer. Can you send a link to what you use to support your limelight hydrangea? We had a heavy rain that caused all my little lime to flop close to the ground. I have found peony supports on Amazon, but I'm afraid that they are not tall enough to work. Thank you!
Hi Marta! So loving how your front border is growing in with all of the beautiful ornamental grasses, coneflowers & salvias…gorgeous design! 🌾🌾🌾 At 4:16, you mention that you use some plastic supports for your panicle hydrangeas with the huge heavy blooms. I’m having the sad flopping issue with my hydrangea after a couple of big storms. Can you please share a link for the kind of supports you’ve been using? Thanks!
Dear Marta, I'm wondering if you are growing your supertunias from seads? Or are you ordering them online? I just love your garden, you are such a big inspiration for me!Thank you for taking us with you in the garden!❤Greatings from Romania!🤗
Hi Marta from England 🇬🇧 it's been around 25 here for a week or so but cooled to 20 today....love your garden...so beautiful. How do you deal with ants? Xx
Best garden on UA-cam ❤ prettiest UA-camr ❤.

I like that you think of your future garden for older age! I am in the similar position as beautigul gardens often are a lot of work.

My supertunia silverberry are thriving in my garden. I've cut them back 3x already. They are my favorite. Love your garden
North America 🌎 We are in the Hot part of summer. I was there for the beginning of the new border. Love the way it turned out 😊

Your garden looks fresh. My garden is looking dry except for zinnias.
And how is supertunia bordeaux doing? How do you compare it with other supertunia varieties?
Beautiful border can you please link the supports you use for the hydrangeas I have the same problems with mine

She does not grow them from seed. She said she buys them in small pots already blooming.

Could you put a link and description of the plant supports you use for your hydrangeas etc 😊
Yes please…would love to know the same! I’m struggling with a floppy panicle hydrangea after a couple heavy storms. 😕
Having the same issue, thanks in advance for the info.

🌸🌼💕💕🌼🌸🇬🇧
Ew to your channel Marta I really love the blue flowers mixed in with your hydrangeas can you please tell me what they are
I didn’t know you could get supertunia bubblegum outside USA? Did you order online. I’m in Ireland and I don’t think you can get them anywhere
Apparently they’re very popular in Poland but couldn’t find them in the UK. Marshalls Garden have them on their website this year though.
Supertunie są w Polsce w powszechnej sprzedaży od przynajmniej 6 lat. Wszędzie je można kupić .
