  • The Renaissance art and architecture of Florence are well-known. The city, on the other hand, isn't locked in the past; it's continually changing. Kathy McCabe, the host, has a unique viewpoint on the restoration of the Duomo. She sees the only Last Supper painting by a woman, albeit a Renaissance nun. Kathy meets Clet Abraham, a modern street artist, for an artistic adventure of sorts.

Very nice video, Kathy is a bubbly personality that fits perfectly in Italy, I have lived for 5 years in Florence, enjoying the old athmosphere, yet very expensive place too.

_"Our use of the phrase "The Dark Ages" to cover the period from 600 to 1000 marks our undue concentration on Western Europe .... From India to Spain, the brilliant civilization of Islam flourished. What was lost to Christendom at this time was not lost to civilization, but quite the contrary .... To us it seems that West-European civilization is civilization, but this is a narrow view."_
    - Bertrand Russell
_"Thanks to the teachings of the Qur'an and its emphasis on the cultivation of knowledge... Different scientific disciplines were derived from the Qur'an and spread across the world by Muslim thinkers. The world was illuminated with the light of the Qur'an and the culture of Islam."_
    - Rev. Bosworth Smith
    ie, no Revelation, no Renaissance.

Islam is no civilization. Islam is a Religion. Islam started as a money scam and only took over Roman civilization and preserved it. Europe was Pegan from 600 to 1000. Europe became Christian around 1000. so, do not blame Christianity for the Dark Ages.

I've seen many Italy documentaries on Tracks with this woman. Sorry but she's horribly American in her presentations. Ugh!
