Fun reaction. Arnold was not a household name or a movie star yet, and was just a champion bodybuilder and struggling actor. The "Pumping Iron" documentary didn't come out for four more years until 1977, and "Conan the Barbarian" didn't come out until 1982.

The Dating Game, the birth of "The Bachelor" - If you guys watch old movies, "Pumping Iron" stars Arnold and it gives a good showing of his real personality. He loves to play with mind games with people's head.
Serial killer Rodney Alcala was a Bachelor on the dating game.
“The show was heavy on innuendo. The host introduced Alcala as a “successful photographer who got his start when his father found him in the darkroom at the age of 13, fully developed.”
…Alcala was selected by the show because he was tall, handsome and charming. Producers did not conduct a background check, so they didn’t know he had also already murdered at least two women in Southern California. Previously, he had served 34 months in prison for the brutal r*** and beating of an 8-year-old girl. He had briefly been put on the FBI’s Most Wanted list as well.
Somehow, The Dating Game bachelorette Bradshaw sensed something was wrong. After the show, she refused to go out with him, saying he was too “creepy.””

Hi, Joe, DT, and Holly! Paul here. Wow, the Dating Game! That's definitely a blast from the past! (I used to watch that off and on, waaaay back lol. I don't remember seeing Mr I'll Be Bach! on it, though. I obviously missed that one.) "Keep 'em comin'!"
That was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. Now we know why Arnold was so motivated to get pumped. He probably couldn't get a date if he looked like an ordinary guy.

Thanks, gang, that was another fun night. That music really brings back memories but I can't believe back in 1973 it was the "New" Dating Game. The Newly Wed game is another one from that period that got kind of racy for it's time but often very funny. Your Arnold impersonations aren't bad, lol. Keep 'em coming!
