This song is Yoongi's masterpiece. It's so beautiful. Woosung really added just the right touch with his amazing voice. Yoongi is so deep and always so vulnerable with us. We're so lucky that he shares his life with us like that.
You were right about the clips when he was crying being from his last concert he performed. it was the third and last day of his encore concerts in Seoul. Members of TXT and also BTS were in the audience. With the repeated lines of "Everything's going to be okay" he was too emotional, so ARMY sang it for him. He was also emotional in Amygdala and Dear My Friend. All three songs are reflections of his past and when he was up on that stage for the last time for quite a while, he was just flooded with memories and emotions. There are fan cams of the performances of those three songs here on UA-cam and I highly recommend watching them. Watching him literally break down and be unable to rap or sing and ARMY lending him their voices is an extremely powerful moment to watch.
yoongi wrote the song for the upcoming artists who struggle to stay afloat on their journey, but also for his past self who experienced exactly that but had no senior artist to tell him these words. bts did a lot of "first korean act to", "first asian act to", "first act to" and as it was happening they had no one who was able to give them advice because no one was where they reached. figuring everything out by themselves was hard on their mental health
Woosung is the lead singer and guitarist of The Rose a Korean rock band. He is actually an American Korean. They are definitely worth investgation. On the last day/performance of his World tour in Seoul stoic Suga broke down and wept profusely, but never stopped performing. He had all Army in tears with him.
Woosung (Sammy) is a wonderful musician and also a wonderful human being... His band The Rose are awesome... well worth a listen Jess... It was such a blessing for Yoongi to meet Mr Sakamoto in person , I'm not sure anyone outside of his inner circle knew just how sick he was....Yoongi got to play for him (one of Mr Sakamotos most well known scores and Yoongi's favourite) He was nervous... made a couple of mistakes but Mr Sakamoto was gracious and supportive... it's in the doco... something Yoongi will never forget.... He wrote the score for The Last Emperor and Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence amongst others... very talented man.
the whole kpop scene is very competitive and tbh very mean, so the numbers and the peer enemies is most possibly about their career in general, no just the trainee days. although it became harder to disrespect bts in their faces, some people still find ways. im not even gonna talk about online, you know how it is im reading the Beyond The Story book rn, and this one thing tae said about 2014 got me seething "it's fine if other teams are names as candidates for first place. we just need to work harder. but at the broadcasting stations, we'd always be the first to say hello and greet everyone, the seonbaes (seniors) and hubaes (juniors) alike, but some people just ignored us and passed right by. Or mocked us for not even being candidates for top place"
This song is one of the many reasons Yoongi continues to be my bias. Incredible human and artist who had us all sobbing with him. I love Woosung (from The Rose) too, they're the same age and have known each other a long time.
at the final concert of Dday tour yoongi got very emotional and cried during performing snooze, amygdala and dear my friend :( looks like it was cathartic to him but my heart was breaking real time
woosung is one of my favorites korean artists too. you have to see back to me, wonder, you are beautiful, sorry, she is the rain. he is from the rose and i see them live in italy and was so good, his voice his beautifull you have too see suga concert, made me emocional and i cried with him
"dream. may it be there with you at your creation and at the end of your life. dream. may it be generous to you wherever you stand. dream. may your hardships end in full bloom. dream. as humble as the beginnings may be, the future will be prosperous. dream" is actually a repetition of yoongi's own verse in So Far Away, 2016
honestly speaking, i dont think bts will leave my soul until my death. no matter where the life will bring me, the things they helped me with, the me who grew into something better while looking up to them - these will always be with me now
This was the song that introduced me to Woosung from The Rose. He is also an amazing artist! I 💜 that each of the members have introduced us to artist we may never have had the honor of hearing if it wasn't for them.A good example is RM's song Wildflower, which features Youjeens She also has a unique haunting voice!
Sakamoto is a Japanese pianist who is a legend. Before he passed away, Suga managed to meet him personally and they recorded the song. And yeah, Suga listed one of the reasons of making the song is that he wants young artists and idols to listen to the song. He doesn’t want them to go through the pain he went through. The part where he goes “dream” after the it’s gonna be alright part, it’s actually taken from an earlier song he did called “So Far Away”; there’s 2 versions of it with one featuring soloist Suran, and the other featuring Jin and Jungkook. For the performance, the messy hair video was from the D Day tour last day I believe. He performed Snooze back to back with other emotional songs so he was very in his emotions. The other songs were Life Goes On (his version, not the BTS one), and Dear My Friend. Anyone’s free to correct me cause it’s been a long while since I’ve thought about these lol
Snooze is really one of my favorite songs ever!!! I remember Yoongi mentioned he wrote it for his younger self and other younger artists, and the way he wrote it is really genius as his advice is for anyone having a dream to be successful and it's so comforting to listen to
I remember the first time I heard this song when listening to his album, even though I couldn’t understand what he was saying I just loved this song. And then I read the English translation and nearly cried because it was just so beautiful .Woonsung is the lead singer in another k pop band called The Rose . You should listen to them.
Thanks for another great reaction, Jess! 💜 You were right, the recording of him crying comes from the last stop of his tour in Seoul. This concert was such a cleansing experience both for him and for me. I cried along with him...
Hi Jess, happy to see another reaction from you! Sorry for the long comment 🙈 SUGA himself said this song is for people who walk the same road as him. He encourages us to rest sometimes. This song is like a big warm hug from him. Woosang (English name Sammy) is a vocalist from rock band The Rose (they're on tour right now). They are an amazing band, you could have a listen in the future. All their songs are fire! Ryuichi Sakamoto was, indeed a Japanese composer, Yoongi really looks up to him. Actually SUGA was one of the last official meetings the composer had before his passing. I believe he died of cancer right before D-DAY tour started. All the piano you can hear in Snooze was his composition. Regarding stage mix. All crying moments are from the last day (day 3 of encore show) concert he had. He came on Weverse live afterwards and explained how strongly he felt all the emotions, so they poured out and he was sobbing for 2 songs and could hardly sing. His last 10 years flashed before his eyes, his seniors in the industry were in the audience and it was the last show, we were all crying (I was watching online), when line "It's going to be alright" came, we all meant it! Bless him, he was so embarrassed that he got emotional but we all understand, it was a beautiful show and day. Last thing, bridge of Snooze is a chorus from his song "So far away" feat. Suran. Another absolutely stunning song by Agust D (one of my ultimate favourites), it's a b side from his first mix tape. There are 2 versions of this song, original with Suran and second one with Jin and Jungkook (different instrumental arrangement). I prefer original because of a stunning guitar solo 😉 Thanks Jess and see you in the next one! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
He was singing. A sad song about a friend of his who passed away and he had tried to help him it was really sad The pianist who died was in the mv you put 9n where you mixed it but he didn’t come up in those bits you did!
Hi dear. 68yo ARMY here. Your commentary was very insightful and thoughtful and your delivery was on point. And your calm but firm aura of being in control of your channel and content are deserving of mentiion as well. Well done there young whipoersnapper.💜
hes not talking about trainee days hes talking about bts's entire path and all the smear campaigns that try and are STILL right this very moment trying to take them down and burry their careers. this song is for all trainees and idols who became/are trying to become idols after seeing bts succeed. a lot of newer idols are idols due to being inspired by bts. so many armys left army twitter and are now idols both korean, asian and international idols. and as you know many idols unalive themselves. this feels like trying to prevent that because he knows how hard it is he wants all of them to listen to this song when theyre struggling and maybe he'll prevent it from happening again. sadly moonbin from astro had passed a few days before the release his family says not to speculate and that it wasnt the cause but many people still think it was and if it was i just wish he was able to hear this first. yoongi also said many of the lyrics are something he wish he and bts were told by a mentor but they had no mentors so he wants to be others mentors. if youre on twitter or follow kpop scandals and controversy youd know bts and many hybe artists have a heavy hate train right now due to a ceo of another label under hybe creating horrible controversy and putting her own artists at risk of hate too. kpop stans and many in korea have always hated bts so theyre always latching onto anything to see them crumble. D DAY album hits different right now with all this happening currently. i just hope bts are okay and they come out of military stronger especially mentally because its been constant hatred since 2013 and hasnt stopped. but its not even the hate thats the worst its the power these people have over the media and industry to try to take bts down because bts was never supposed to win. theyre not the elite theyre not the people born with silver spoons theyre seen as lower class if it was old korean days theyd be slaves and would never advance to higher places. but they did and the people at the top hate it.
He's not speaking of BTS they are like a family of brothers and love an support each other in that way they are not what thorny means. than you also have Sasaens. Know the culture it's history and something about Yoongi to help you understand his solo videos there on another level than the western mind and experience are.

Когда весь зал пел слова "Все будет хорошо" и пытался его поддержать - это было сильно!!!! 🔥❤❤❤

Woosung from the rose they are great! One of the best male vocals I’ve heard in a long time.

You should react to woosung's and The Rose's songs!! You won't regret!!
Think the other singer is in the band called the rose
