It’s not a good way to determine it especially for older artists or songs that came out before streaming.
@@MsJessica23456 UA-cam streams are equally good if not better. According to Spotify streams, the biggest song Katy Perry has ever been part of is Feels (the Calvin Harris song). I think everyone can agree that's not her biggest song.
I do agree that generally Spotify streams are a good way of measuring popularity, but you can't draw conclusions from one platform only. All the songs released in the last 4 years will have much better Spotify streams that songs that were released between 2010-2015 ("the UA-cam era")

My Chemical Romance needs a solid react from roomie. they have such a wild array of intensely creative music and interesting aspects to nearly every piece of every album; the history, the meanings, the lyrics, the music, the production. A seriously interesting band that I feel like is blown off because of it's loss of popularity after their breakup, and yet simultaneously people think is "overappreciated" when they only know one song.

I always thought Ed Sheeran's blow up hit was "A team". I mean, honestly, "Thinking out loud" came to the scene when he was already known worldwide, but he got a huge boom after that specific song since every freaking bride chose that song for their weddings.
Yeah the Ed Sheeran one was kinda inaccurate. A team was 3rd in the UK and 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 so I would say that would've been his blow-up

Halsey's Badlands album is probably the album I've listen to the most of in the last decade. Normally I find there are a handful of songs from an artist's album that I'm not a huge fan of, but I loved every one on the Badlands album.

Very sad and good news is Little Mix needs a little bit break as a group on indefinite hiatus as of May 2022 after 11 years of having the best-selling girl group in UK from 2010s to present 2020s and Jesy Nelson is now a solo artist after a departure from Little Mix, but the best thing is Little Mix will come back just in case their solo careers are or aren't successful but only in 2 and a half years and Little Mix will stay forever.

I would say The A Team was Ed Sheeran's blow-up song and Just Dance was Lady Gaga's. They just became even bigger after that. At first I thought Jillboard did that to not have two of the same songs in a row, but that theory was thrown out of the window later on in the video.
About Linkin Park sounding good as Ariana Grande, I actually heard a mashup of Ariana singing Into You over Linkin Park's Numb, and that also sounded really good. Ariana Grande somehow also really fits into the Linkin Park vibe, which is a testament about how undeniably talented she really is- she seems to fit everything!

Little Mix was under Syco from Simon Cowell and he is the reason why little Mix didn't blow up until recently cause of the fact he never cared about them. The girls mostly right the songs they produce mostly. Until recently they were the most underrated girl group ever. They were bullied for everything, Jesy had it worst. She left recently for her mental health. Little Mix is an awesome girl group mistreated by the limelight

@@annorafelis6263 I mean I wouldn’t be mad if he does not react to them, and I get where you’re coming from, however saying he is not an expert in different languages does not really matter here, because music itself is an universal language. You don‘t have to understand everything in order to feel it (and there are subtitles, which makes this point even more invalid). I am German, and I listened to music in different languages for my whole life (english, french, spanish, russian, japanese etc.), and I was able to appreciate all of it, because I could feel the melodies, could appreciate the voices etc. Music itself does not change because it is in another language, and so does not the ability to talk about it, discuss it and react to it:)

I actually think you’re wrong about Dua Lipa’s voice. She has a very distinctive tone, and listen to her Tinydesk performance. Very solid live vocals

I think the reason Adele hasn't released music is bc she had a vocal chord issue on stage once so I don't think she's been able to sing. Idk I may be wrong but I think that's what I heard.
