  • Dave Carp drawing the cockpit and the interior at his desk. Drawings by Mr Caro with and without panning shots (no sound). Panning shots of Mr Caro's desk as seen through the Design Department. Other drafts: digital sketching of the interior (concept). Exterior draft with paint brush (Nagashima). Pencil sketches and coloured drawings of the exterior. Discussing the materials charts, that is all the materials to be used within the interior. A. Baumeister with colleagues in the Design Department. The team checking out interior materials under various light conditions (Bordeaux trim). Virtual design: Mr Carp and Mr Steinle at the computer with virtual components, discussing matters with colleagues. Close-up on the monitor: kidney grille section. Clay Model. Coupe (6 Series). Shapes re-worked (direction indicator recess, engine compartment and side-line). List handed over and model measured. Warm plasticine picked up and applied. Left rear direction indicator fitted in position. Surface film placed on to the left side section, cut into position and smoothened. Details and camera movement from the front around the finished clay model, Japanese version (no sound). Exterior model is checked, points are stuck on. Exterior model of coupe: Camera moves along various perspectives (no sound). Mr Carp, Mr Steinle and Bürkle at the cockpit discussing the model, applying tapes, placing the model in the seat box.
