I don't know why, but I can feel the pain, maybe because that's the pain that I feel everyday, being the last choice and being over looked, not being good enough and being overweight, in the song where she sings "never the star always the stroid" I feel that because it refuses to her being fatter and uglier then the others, and that describes me perfectly
I know what that feels like and I know these words are hard to say to ourselves, but you’re worth so much more than you know. There’s a quote I used to have on my wall which said “your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth”. And I just in this instance while writing this, realised that that person could even be ourselves. Keep living because there is so much beauty to be seen, in and around you💛

Yellow is commonly shown to be a gender-neutral colour that parents choose before a child is born.
Maybe it symbolises how forgotten and left behind she is by her peers and that she's more seen as a child than a woman?

Never mind, I just found the storie of Clytie. Basically, she was a nymph that loved Apollo. At first, he loved her, then he fell for another girl.
Clytie growing jealous of his affection for her, tells the girl's father who buries his daughter. 66
Apollo gets mad at her and turns her into a sunflower. Even as a sunflower she still loves him and follows the sun he pulls around.
In the books it says her mother made her wear yellow because its supposed to symbolise happiness and make her look like a happy girl and men would be attracted to and notice her.

He recently had a mutual breakup with his ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, thin, kind girlfriend and is single. I never let myself cry, and this song just had me bawling in my bed at 2am. It’s such a specific kind of pain that you have to live through to understand. And she sings it with such emotion- not just sadness and longing, but an anger and disappointment directed more at herself than at others, for being who she is and still daring to hope. Then to take all that pain and ugliness and have it contrasted with her angelic voice and melody… ugh, it’s just too much. Just perfect.
