Hello! You throw cc whatever the situation calls for! If it calls for a hex, I'll toss a hex, if it calls for an AoE stun, I'll throw a cap totem. Anything under cc I'll use differently and If I can combine them that's cool! Earthgrab is generally something I'm pressing off cd. The 1 thing players hate is being spam rooted. If I can combine this with a thunderstorm, lets say I'm escorting our FC, I thunderstorm anyone on my FC away into an earthgrab, buy's us a sliver of time. Hex I'm throwing out if I have the opportunity (teams stable, covering heals during my teams burst). I run voodoo mastery a lot of the times so I try to hex healers off cd or dps on their burst for a bit of disruption. I love spamming hexes with voodoo as there's very little classes that can dispel curses. Lightning Lasso I'm typically saving for our kill target. If my team knows their going to kill something or I see the swap on a potential kill target, I'll lasso that target to help secure. If I see healer cooldowns like wings, ascendance, apotheosis, rapture etc.) I might lasso that healer instead. Capacitor Totem I usually save for my Static Field Totem if I can stack their team together so whenever my boys have cds, I'll static field --> totem project my static on their backline/healers --> capacitor totem everyone or bring their backline to my melee, capstun on top. Depends on the map. This alone can force trinkets and many cds as not only is everyone in bad positioning, everyone's getting cleaved! If I'm running Static Charge I'll use cap totem pretty consistently as it'll be reduced to 30seconds if it hits 4 targets. Counterstrike totem is whatever. If it's not killed it can definitely hurt but unless you're in low mmr chances are, your CS totem isn't going to live 2 seconds. There are much better options like grounding totem, static field, Totem of Wrath that'll have more impact than counterstrike totem. Hope this helps! :)
@BigTunagg ok man you provided such a detailed response with varying scenarios. Thanks so much! The static into projection with cap i haven't tried yet. Just getting back into pvp so this helps immensely
My Biggest problem is I'm always last on meters by a lot at the scoreboard. And I don't know what I can do. Do I cast to much rip tided instead of chainheals or idk... get whisperd so often my healing is bad
My #1 piece of advice when it comes to healing is: don't focus on the scoreboard! The scoreboard is just numbers and looks nice but it's not a determining factor for ones play. I'm more of a "In the moment" healer. There are times when I get outhealed by a cheeky 100m by my other healers on the charts but I'm the one who keeps my team alive in these team fights with my 2 other healers dead. I'm also the one securing most of our kills with cross cc, most damage amongst our other healers, purges, static fields etc.) So in the rare case I am actually outhealed, I'm exceling in different areas :). But in terms of overall healing being low across multiple games it can be due to many reasons. Maybe its your rotation, gear, stats, potentially running the wrong build/hero talents for certain maps, not trading cooldowns properly, etc.) There's always reason for something happening and once you find it, maybe I or a much better resto shaman out there can help :). As for whispers, it sucks especially when I was branching out to other healers like my hpal, hpriest and MW. People that clearly I was struggling and didn't really know what I was doing, Instead of offering some bit of helpful tips they just shat all over me so It doesn't feel good, but the learning process proves much more difficult challenges than peoples words so gotta brush it off :)
I haven't been gaming too much on the resto shaman which is sad cause....it's my main. For a long time resto shaman hasn't had something exciting! Just spam riptide...If I was just to spam 1 spell, It would be Holy Shock! [Current Control] and [First Ascendant] feels great. Still testing but having CDs available every time I need them feels amazing. I mentioned before In 3's and rbgs, I just couldn't respond to a second Go as I had no cds available so having Healing Tide on a 1.4min cd and ascendance on a 2min cd feels nice. There are times where not having [Tide Turner] has cucked me. Missing out on 30% HT healing and 15% increased healing is definitely rough when I'm really trying to work on getting everyone up. Maybe I can run tide turner and just keep first ascendant and see how that plays out. Played more with [Reactive Warding] in rbgs and it does feel good. Naturally I take spouting spirits in RBGS as of course, Spirit Link is never going to save someone, It just buys time till my other healers can top us off. However spouting can put some nice numbers up when it counts and it has given me SOMETHING especially when I'm solo offense healing. Reactive Warding on the other hand has the potential to put up some really crazy numbers in the 2m range when you're down a good number of Earth Shield Charges. Only reason I don't like it in RBGs is because there is a number of times I am swapping Earth Shields especially solo O healing so I don't get crazy value, but In blitz I have been making it a priority to dump out those wardings to get comfortable with it and it has felt nice. On maps where I can run Totemic specifically EoTs, I want to try a chain heal build. Chain Heal doesn't work with Farseer obviously because you're spamming riptide the whole game but just to switch things up I may do some chain heal action. Spamming riptide over and over again does things to the brain....AWC is currently live with my favorite team F tier putting on a good show so hopefully they bring it home the W! Remember kids, reality is an illusion and the universe is an illusion BYE! :)
how do you rotate your cc? is it mainly just shorter cds first --> earthgrab / tstorm --> then static field? have u tested counteroffensive totem? ty!

Can you do a Blitz guide for rsham? There is noone out there.
I haven't done too many blitzs at all this season so maybe when I have more gametime in them I will :).
