Redesigning Five Nights at Freddy's 1 | Video Games Redesigns

- Welcome to a new series where I break down the elements of each FNAF game, and redesign the bits that could be made better to create what would hopefully be a better game. While games like FNAF 2 will be more fun to cover, it's still important to begin at the roots of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, FNAF 1. Redesigning FNAF 1 while trying not to take too much inspiration from what we know about FNAF+ so far was a bit difficult at times, but I think my idea for a redesigned gameplay loop is original enough.
Fun fact: A lot of images here that looked like screenshots from the games weren't screenshots at all! They were actual assets from the games themsevles, layered to look like the official renders. How did I manage this, you may ask?

Honestly once I’m done with this series I might try it. The only risky part is Scott shooting them down
@@BlartFanExplains he won't, he's really chill with fangames. You just need to make the game a whole lot different than the original.
@@OK-69420 A giant compilation of my redesigns for a fangame might work. We’ll have to see how this series turns out first though.
By the way if these were to be made into a fan game would they be 3d models or 2d 🤔

I feel like the 6th night could give the player a higher chance of spawning Golden Freddy, if he were to be in the game. And I think I have a good mechanic for him. Since GF is kinda just a hallucination, I figured that to activate his jumpscare, the player would need to look at him long enough. Phase 1 starts him in his iconic pose which is simple enough before a hallucination would play that puts him into phase 2 which is the animation of him shaking with his eyes lit up like in the final cutscene of UCN, another hallucination plays before phase 3 happens where GF looks like he’s less slumped and more poised to charge at you at any moment (A good reference of the pose would be GRITastic’s FNAF 2 redesign video where they draw Golden Freddy in the pose I described) and then his head just charges at you causing the jumpscare to play out. This gameplay mechanic would last for 8 seconds, 2 seconds for each phase before the last 2 are just him getting up and having his head lunge at you, to better make him a hallucination. Also in GRITastic’s FNAF 2 redesign video they mention that their design of GF basically makes him look brand new and in pristine condition, which would make him more of an oddity compared to the rest of the animatronics.

I’m going to try and learn how to use Krita after the FNaF 2 redesign video is finally done(drawing cameras for the entire location as opposed to only drawing a few cameras is taking way longer than I thought it would) just for the sake of making better art for the videos as well as thumbnails. Thank you so much for fixing the puppet in fnaf 1 paradox because NO BODY actually thought once or acknowledged this annoying retcon but you sir made it works actually having the puppet be just as the dangerous as fnaf 2 spices the formula significantly, now instead of worrying about the power usage but also the potential of losing it all due to the puppet in action
Yeah, the retcon about the Puppet is still one of the weirdest things to me. There’s no mention of it in FNAF 1 so is it just gone by the time that game takes place? We just won’t ever know I guess
FNAF + will have the Puppet too. I truly can't wait to see Phisnom's twist on it.

@@SuperSonicbros4 God, we lost plus to such a stupid thing. At least that edgy teen wasn't actually harmed and Phisnom is feeling better now that he has that weight out of his shoulders. I'm actually watching his Lethal Company stream right now, but man, what a butterfly effect.
It's also kinda sad how you can tell most of the FNaF community never liked him, and I get it, he was basically a Reddit troll before he started streaming, but they all went straight for his throat at the smallest slip up, they didn't care about all the stuff he did for the community, his charity streams, FNaF Plus itself (both the game and the VHS, which are the best FNaF tapes on UA-cam), and especially how supportive he was of the fangame scene.
The whole situation is just a shame, everyone messed up and Phil could've probably just talked out the problem with Scott, but after seeing the backlash on Twitter and Reddit, along with his stalker situation, he probably just couldn't bare the stress anymore, so he cancelled Plus and resigned from the fanverse.
Sorry for the long reply, it's just that I've been thinking about this a lot now that I started to watch Phisnom again.

Springtrap is in the fnaf 1 location but I don't know when the Fnaf 3 end of night minigames take place.
After fnaf 1 based on the fact that the building had water coming through it
@@BlartFanExplains The spring bonnie suit is likely there before the minigames maybe it could have been used, Maybe as a boss fight?
Honestly I've always thought Night 6 should be special, all official games and most fan games have "five nights" in the title, if you throw in a 6th shake it up a little. Glad someone else agrees.

@@funduck2015 You want to make a fangame out of this take on FNAF 1? That would be super cool, but I’m gonna have to advise against it. Any time fangames like those pop up, Scott himself makes sure they’re taken down.
The only reason FNaF+ is happening is because Phisnom did make a FNAF 2 remake that was TOO good, so Scott took it down. They talked and now FNAF+ is happening lol

@@BlartFanExplains little news, i finished the puppet's mechanic, the only probleme is that you Can get wrong without consequence, but i'm still proud, i never did things like that with command block, when I'll finish fnaf 1, i'm gonna look you're fnaf 2 redesign and make it! 👍. (PS+1sub)

I honestly think that the animatronics should be redesigned because i feel as if they look a little bit plain so if you dont mind can you make a separate video playlist where you redesign them please?
I get wanting to see that, but I’ve already got two massive videos in the works and creating art takes a ton of time(when proper effort is put in at least). The animatronics in fnaf 1 are basic, but they already strike a great balance between scary and friendly to me that I just don’t see a need in redesigning them.
@BlartFanExplains I mean I know that it's just seeing just freddy wearing a a black Top hat and bow tie and bonnie wearing JUST a bow tie and chica wearing a bib and all that stuff is just boring to see I've seen so many fnaf fan games redesign their animatronics and just make the animatronics look normal like what's wrong with the animatronics wearing attire like pants or shirts or having different instruments you know what I mean?!?
@@joshuadrake4340 There’s nothing wrong with that, if anything I think those are neat. There’s a difference between redesigning and remaking a game, though. These videos are redesigns that ain’t to only fix problems while leaving the rest intact, while full blown remakes change everything for the sake of it. Both are cool in their own rights, I’m just trying to stay in my own lane if that makes sense.
@BlartFanExplains I guess that makes sense but what if you kept the original design and just added something different like a shirt or something like a flannel or like a mini suit and just change the Instruments a little bit in my eyes I guess this would still be staying in your own lane in a sense because you wouldn't be changing the whole design just adding on something how about that would that work?🤔 but just please just know I'm not going to force you to do this because it's your channel so In a way this decision is entirely up to you
But whatever you do with this series and how you go about doing it I will respect it
