I find it interesting how this one is based off that creepy ending screen from SM64 Classified. (Down to the scream at the start too!) Really awesome horror sm64 series, it deserves as much love as the songs in this mod. Costume Mario's sprites are so sick and the overall vibe is spooky but cool too, very perfect way to cap off the Classified Castle world.

It would explain why it's called "The End", aside from being a reference to the OG source material as well as the song being quite fast paced throughout.

While he appears for one small scene in Super Mario 64 : CLASSIFIED at the end of 09.02.97, Costume seems to be heavily inspired by the obscure Spanish creepypasta Mario Bros Asesino, in which a man called Mike Robertson dresses in a Mario costume and commits murder using a large dagger, never to be seen again by anyone except for the police who upon investigating Mike's house found a running Super Nintendo with Super Mario World playing in the background.
So yes, it is based on classified, but is closer to the latter

I'm such a massive fan of how abruptly this song just... _trails off._ It feels like it _should've_ kept going, but Costume Mario just _stops_ and _stares_ like... like he _knows_ what's looming on the horizon. His appearance is nothing in the grand scheme, and it seems so much like he got tired of pretending.
Because this isn't the end. It's just a farce.
I see it as a way of Costume to go "well, I tried", trailing the song off as a way to signal him giving up and letting fate take it's path, returning in All-Stars with his voice and leitmotif as a "well, I tried to push you off the path, don't blame me for it all"

I like how by this point you're used to characters messing with the timer to give themselves extra time (think of MX or GB) so much that it comes off as a huge surprise when the timer hits 0 in the middle of the verse and Costume just... _stops._
Yeah when he pauses in some moments, like he just stares at BF in such disbelief becuz he knows what’s up and already tried to warn him, even took GF hostage by hand, knife pointing at her at some point. Like he’s signaling the fate and yet BF still continues thinking it’s nothing too big
My personal headcanon is that costume is actual mark Robertson from the obscure spanish creepypasta, which ended with mark completely missing and only the tv playing with super mario world. My theory is M (Super Horror Mario) pulled mark into his world through the smw game, and gave him a deal similar to bf and gf, and of course, he failed. Afterwards as a punishment he puts marks soul into the costume he used to commit all the murders with, stuck in it forever. Hence why he looks so depressed near the end of the song, he knows whats coming for bf, and knows he'll just suffer the same fate he did.

@@maxzilla-cj9vh With ultra M I don’t know much about, animations are hard to decipher due to how fast the whole songs going. But from what I can gather ultra M can manipulate his body, from a large slender figure to a giant slender eldritch creature, this is seen when he makes puppet GF appear, I seen a pic over the internet how the entire scenery of that part looks like and M is actually playing with GF like a strung up puppet. One of his hands are even floating above where GF is, not to mention the last part in all stars, his stature completely changes to a giant being of limitless power and trickery, this I’m only theorizing but ultra M has no size limit, so it’s unclear how tall he can truly be, normal M I’d say is as tall as Luigi to be honest, but that’s my theory on it🤷

I believe it's mainly based on Greenio but with some inspiration from the creepypasta you mentioned, hence the knife that was never mentioned in SM64C

A lot of these new songs feel like they're constantly at 120% without really slowing down or giving the listener/player room to breathe and take everything in. Makes them a bit overwhelming to listen to at points. They're not bad by any means, but this is the one thing that's holding them back a bit imo.
@@doshinPSI Chromatic is smth I've found can really work around a more "spammy" or "packed" song if it's done right. If the chromatic is very pleasent to listen to or is mixed well, it can do a complete 180 to the song. Foolhardy is a great example of such.
i feel like, especially in the case of the end, that was maybe done intentionally to make it more intense, imo the instrumental represents this pretty well

Unrelated to the song but rather to the world structure, how come the Wario Appiration isn't in Classified Castle? It would make more sense, he was in the Classified series, AND it would be a nice little thing of having a v1 character in almost every world (besides Irregularity Isle). Just feels weird to see him in Woodland of Lies than Classified Castle.
True though then again the wario apparition is a theory and only made a small appearance in SM64 CLASSIFIED he didn't really have an impact on the series other than to be something that was created by the personalized AI

No, its Costume Mario, A Serial killer Character from Greenio's SM64 Classified Series it appeared in the 4th Video and Mostly 4th tape of This Analog Series.
The Character itself is totally based on Mike Robertson, A Serial killer Who was an Employee of A Mario Commercializing Service, he is often dressed like Mario because of his very long work turns, It was just for saying why is he like this btw but yea, but going back with the conversation, he has killed lot of childrens in his secret part-times, By day and night, which for these actions he commited different times, considered to be always dressed as Mario while doing these things, it was also known as "Mario Killer" , "Killer Mario" or Something, while, just like you see right now, it is called and Recognized by this analog series as a character called "Costume Mario" which is also represented as the secret villain that committed the murders in the back of the series, the origin of the photo the gf and bf art was based at the beginning is unknown, btw, mostly major part of SM64 Classified Series' Lore/Story is entirely based on Mike Robertson's Murder Story and the Disappearance and Traumatic Situation moments of the characters in this analog were all a Metaphor of Mike's Murders, Which this story is also what totally inspired the SONIC HAS PASSED Rom Hack Creepypasta.
