You did everything i wanted the original song to do. You actually payed hommage to the fact that theyre running through (an altered) 1-1, including jumping, pipes, and such. It pays respect to the original game. You also actually animate MX jumping out of the pit, which the original song never did, even though its pretty much integral to the original source game! I also love how we can actually SEE the background and everything. Sometimes in the original demise, i felt that everything blended together too much. On top of that, the pixel style is always awesome. Amazing work. I wouldve been happier with this instead of the original demise, to be honest.
There's always something so hype about the ending of Demise where BF essentially engages in a very "do or die" situation and it just gets really nerve-wracking- But you managed to convey that hype into something SO MUCH MORE. The "RUN" at the top right, the entire bloody stage getting into a glitchy mess as MX jumps out of the hole he dug himself, the demented clouds and blocks, and then that final ending stinger of the coin sound effect as MX just couldn't finish the job. PROPER good one and a round of applause- You did great on this!!!
Fun fact: almost every assets during the 3rd part were inspired by the designs of fallen kingdom, The mountains, the blocks, the faces and the glitches I dont think that 3rd part would be so hyping without those so gotta give credit to that (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

MX just destroys every obstacles he passes by, and I love Mx and Bf sprites in here, the pose looks exactly same as original DEMISE, and BF jumps over the obstacles, that's really nice detail. The most thing that I really liked in this video is when MX says "I GOT YOU!!!" and BF screams and starts to fall down to the darkness but GF got BF by flying and MX falls lol, the movement was really smooth. I'll give this 15/10 REALLY AWESOME
One thing I really like about this is all the attention done to the backgrounds, taking from the base game, Inferno's take/Redux and even Fallen Kingdom amongst things Boyfriend runs through to escape from MX.
So far, what I noticed is that the first section strongly mirrors the original demo when it was Mario PC Port, the second seems to combine the unfinished 1-2 level with Redux's rendition, and the third has the new demo's clouds, Redux's chase bricks, and the blocks and hills now resemble what Fallen Kingdom did (with the hills being downsized as Predestined had them gigantic in his game).
I just want alt ending to demise where at the point where gf says, "dont worry we're safe-" MX Flys through and kills BF and you have to play as GF throughout the rest of the song Edit: Look mom! Im famous!
That'd probably make sense for the whole extra lives thing and why and all stars BF just has one life although clearly dying once in dictator and who knows if he actually, really died in alone

Really good, though there are some things I could recommend adding to it: - The "HA HA HA HA" letters coming out of MX mouth at 1:10 like in the original Demise. - A black screen transition with words "GET BACK HERE!!!" after 2:26 like in Mario'85, or just overall a faster, smoother transition like in the original Demise. - More custom animations for MX while he is going to catch BF here 2:58 along with his text from the original Demise in style of Mario'85, just like GF's when she comforting BF. Just my ideas. It's no easy feat to mod, and this is already pretty well put together. You have a lot of talent and deserve the praise for what you made, but I wanted to add some suggestions of my own to make it even better. But if you don't want to, I understand. Demise isn't my favourite too. I'm more of Overdue and Dictator fanatic, but I still like it fine.
Tbh these suggestions would be fire additions, ill definitely try to add them for the release :3 Fyi i also thought about adding a bunch of theses suggestions already like mx and gf alt animations or even the words Buuut i was running out of time and patience for this mod so i just wanted to get this done with ^v^'
Dude the transition into the 1-2 part was incredible! I love how MX just bursted through the fucking wall lmao I also like how you did the fake out timer, nice job!
Considering the original Mario '85, it would be cool if MX downsized himself to either False Hero or Pipe Crawler to fit in the pipe for that segment considering that his nornal size smashes Warp Pipes easily, plus how the demos show the pipe leading to underground despite having no visible downward connection.
I do fuck with the fact that after the Beeg Wahoo part, the atmosphere is a lot more chaotic, resembling the redux demo as opposed to the background we know and love.
Taking a look at the assets, only the bricks seem to be straight from Redux. The clouds in themselves seem to be from the newer demo that utilized MX's Pipe Crawler form while most of the hills at that point are downsized versions of the Predestined's hills in Fallen Kingdom, Marco's retake.

I know this has only been out for like... 4 days, but I am genuinely upset at myself for not finding this sooner. Seriously, these sprites are beautiful, the running is smooth, and the small details are complete perfection. Honestly, I feel like the 8-bit should have replaced the underground section in Demise. That would have been cool. Good job, amazing work on the entire video.
I swear that I am more than impressed by the tremendous detail and love that you put into the Sprites, you are seriously super talented in pixel art so keep going, I already want to see your future projects, you are great 💚

My one problem with the original Demise was the inconsistency between the Powerdown and Demise sprites. Safe to say demise has shot up the ranking now
