Morning here... I think the die with the small circles at the end and thumb notch, is for making slot openings for pockets... Enjoyed your making session thanks for the ideas x
yes i agree
I was just going to say that! 😂
Ditto! I came on just to tell her that. I have one, and was "yelling" at her that it makes a pocket opening! LOL
Gayle, thank you for inviting us into your craft room every single day. Please know that we don't mind when you go look for things. There are literally thousands of us who watch you every day of our lives BECAUSE you take us along with you with whatever you are doing any given day.
Personally I would watch you look for things all day long & would laugh if you asked Mike,
"Hey, can you bring me the labels I was cutting upstairs?! They're beside the sofa!"
And then he'd reply, "Sure, but be ready to catch them when I toss them down the stairs, because I don't want to be on camera!"
And then you'd rush to the stairs in a panic & holler, "Wait! My good fussy cutting scissors are in the bag! Don't you dare throw my good scissors!" 😂
We love you just the way you are! 💜
Thank you, my friend! ❤
Gayle my sister in law told me a little trick on die cutting. She said to take a fabric softer sheet and rub it on the cutting side of die, that way the pieces fall out and don’t have to poke them. It works 89% of the time.
Yay! Great tip! Thanks so much! ❤
GM Gayle. I think the way you do your videos is just fine, you can't please 100 percent all the time. What I hate is the fact that you share your time and knowledge and your not appreciated by the spoilers. The way I see it, they don't have to watch.
I 💕💕💕 die cuts and the process. It's amazing 🤩. Your amazing too😊😊😊
Did you know that I watch your videos multiple times??? And I'm sure I'm not alone.
So have a great weekend 😀😀😀
Good morning, sweet friend! Thank you for your supportive comment! I appreciate you!! And thanks so much for watching! ….multiple times!! 😂❤
GM, Gayle. I love die cutting! I love the tiny tag, would make good dangers with a charm. And I think you're doing a great job, don't worry about how others do. " You do you", is always what I say. I appreciate being with you during your videos.
Danglers, not dangers. 😅
Just the right size for the word “Kind”
I love hearing you “look” for things in your art room. It’s lovely to see your creative brain, as it’s creating, and it makes you think of something else. I just love it, because it’s real live crafting at its finest!
Thank you so much, my friend! ❤
Good morning Gayle and YT Crew. I love the edge die cuts also. I have one that looks like torn from a spiral notebook. Will be fun watching you use all your new goodies. Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. Blessings friends.
Mornin TwilaSue!
Morning Twila Sue! ❤
Good morning, Gayle! Seeing your finished pile of die cuts made me want to bring out my die cutting machine too. Like you, I often find hauling that sucker out and cutting one reinforcer at a time seems like a LOT of work. But watching you do many die cuts at one time has given me incentive! TFS ❤❤❤
Morning Tatiana! ❤
Good morning Gayle. That was a lot of dye cuts. Good to hear your voice today and spend my morning crafting with you. Have a great day. ❤😊
Morning Heather! ❤
Scrappy Saturday is my favorite Gayle day! Thank you 😊
My wish list has a die cut machine at the top. Always like to see what you cut out. That number set is a must have! Thanks for letting us come along today. Have a Blessed day!
Listening to your chats and Scrappy Saturdays are what I look forward to each week!
Thank you Marie! ❤
Good morning Ms Gayle. Thank you for everything you do and show us. The angle was fine we could see everything (I could) and when you look for something it’s like oh it’s fine I don’t have everything together when I’m working even Gayle needs to find something and you might find something even better then if you already had it out ( if that makes sense) and it shows us how someone else looks at things. Hope everyone have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, my friend! ❤
Loved watching the whole die cutting procedure, especially when you came up with your own version of tags etc! Those edge papers are the best! 🥰❤
Those leaves would be really cool with some of your Gelli prints. Also your favorite edge die I think would work great on your guest checks. Just something different. Loved the die cuts today. TFS ❤
How fun!!! Thanks Gayle! Also love the great tips from everyone else too!
I struggled to take all the numbers apart😢. And now I see how you use it. It's so clever and then you stay with the beautiful negative.
I love the oakleaves, I actually love all you did😂 Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed Sunday ❤
I just love your videos, it’s like sitting with a friend and just having fun crafting. I just love that you are reminding us to use what we have and using the sisixx and all the dies cuts we have undoubtedly collected but forget to use. I had a thought about the first ones you shared from Amazon , the one you didn’t care for as much, the negative part can be trimmed and used as a pocket to slide a tag, picture or just tuck a small journaling card. Having said that you know what I’m going to buy next because I don’t have these and now I want to use them. Thank you Gayle , you are the best and my favorite journal creator.
Aw, thank you so much, Olga! You made my morning! ❤
GAYLE....the die you didn't like....makes a pocket edge. Go back and look at the piece of paper that remained. You have a perfect slit pocket. Try it again!
Gotcha! Thanks for the help! That one had me baffled! 😂❤
Good Afternoon, Gayle. Busy Saturday morning here so I am late watching. So fun to see you do the die cuts. I hope you are having a great Saturday!
Good afternoon Mindy! ❤
Good morning Gayle, Its amazing all the things you can make die cuts, I will start making them too,
enjoy your day, big hugs Gayle.
Morning Nicky! ❤
Good morning, Gayle. I always love Scrappy Saturdays. I have just had a couple of days of die cutting myself. You have got so many great dies. It’s fun to see what is available. Thank you for sharing. I always wonder what that cracking sound is that the Big Shot makes. Now I have an answer. Thank you. 💜
Morning Barbara! ❤
Thanks, Gayle, for sharing with us. I watch every day. I love all your videos. I don't comment very often, but I'm watching and learning. It irritates me when people are rude. It's completely unfair. I think the majority of us love you and think you're fabulous. 😊 Have a wonderful day.
Thank you Charlene! ❤
Good morning Gayle! ❤ I love die cuts but hate making them. My hands complain for days afterward. 🙄😆 That one that makes the numbers is cool! Hope you’re having a great weekend! ❤️
Morning Deb! ❤
I love die cutting! These are some cool dies. I found a batch for super cheap at a thrift store and I’m having fun. I have a Gemini junior that works very well. I saw a tip video that suggested putting the die on the plate, cutting blades up, and putting the paper on top, instead of the other way around. She also suggested running the dies through the long way, rolling it through slowly, instead of the cross wise way.
I always enjoy your videos!
Fun die-cutting session!! The oak leaves have me longing for Fall...my favorite time of year!! 💛🍂🤎 Love & Hugs!!! 🤗♥️🤗
I think the notched 1 is for pockets, love all your videos
Good morning Gayle! This mornings die cutting was great fun. Once again a reminder to get out my stuff I don't normally use. I don't have that tag set but have wanted to get it because that little tiny tag is so darn cute. Have a great day and ignore the complainer. I will see you later today. I love you friend 😊🤗❤
Morning Patty! Love you, my friend! ❤
Good evening Gayle, looks like you had a little fun with your Sizzix, it’s fun to play, lol! Makes me want to play with mine! Thank you for sharing & have a wonderful day!🤗💜🌻💕
Good evening Diana! ❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct 💜🌻💕
Poking out die cuts is way less irritating than fussy cutting! IMHO 😊
So funny! 😂. You know you’re talking to the woman who LOVES to fussy cut, right? 😂. Love fussy cutting, poking out die cuts…not so much! 😂😂❤
Hi, Gayle. The first die you showed needs to be cut twice, one on the "wrong" side of your paper, so you put them together and get flaps to seal all four sides - one being left unglued for use. I have a similar one and it took me a moment. :) All of the edges are meant, I think, to be cut from the insert (i.e. plain rectangle) piece. Try it and see! :)
Thank so much for the help, Cindy! ❤
Love the numbers die. Tempted to buy this set.
Very productive and fun!🎉❤
Fabulous die cuts Gayle, thank you so much for your lovely video and idea's...Kia Kaha Stay Strong...❤
Good afternoon, Gayle! I really enjoyed today’s video! I should pull out my dies and play. I love all the fun things you made today. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! ❤
Good afternoon Colleen! ❤
Thank you Gayle. I have many dies, I like the simple ones! Some have so many pieces that you need to figure out how to fit together to create dimension. For me if it gets too fiddly I find it frustrating……not something I want to be feeling when I’m crafting. Love your videos.
When you lay your dies down at an angle on your cutting plate they usually make less cracking noise😊
Happy Scrappy Saturday! I agree that die cuts are Fun to use, but lots of work to cut them out! 😊💕
Good morning! Lots of fun die cut scraps. Tfs! Have a blessed day my friend!💕
Morning Julie! ❤
Im back from a long break from making junk journals due to dealing with macular degeneration, sheesh! But now after having injections in my eyeball my eyesight is getting better AND
Im back to watching vids and making 5 journals in a series. Sooooo! I um a back to catching up on your vids.
Thanks so much to continue them and being a part of my recovery!🦌💌❤️📚🙏
Praying for continued recovery for you, Renee! You’ve been missed! ❤
Good morning Gayle! Love the die cuts can’t wait to see them in your journals. Have a great relaxing day too. 👍🌻🌻🌻🐇
Morning Pat! ❤
Good morning Gayle!! Love all the die cuts you did!! The page edges are really cute. Thanks for sharing with us!! Have an awesome day...💜
Morning Carol! ❤
Good morning, Gayle! I see all kinds of possibilities with those die cuts!
Morning Beverly! ❤
Good morning Gayle, you have some really nice dies! My stash of die are typical cardmaking kinds, I love these you have that are suited for junk journals and altered arts. Have a sensational day & weekend dear friend! Luv & hugzz 💖
Good morning, Gayle. It’s lovely to see you take out many of my other favourites. Reminds me that journals are so much more fun when you include surprise elements. Perhaps painted and stamped? Have a great day! ❤️😀❤️
Morning Laurette! ❤
Howdy hi Gayle & crew. Looks like fun, like making puzzle pieces. Thanks for demonstrating. 😂
Those leaves are so pretty!
Really cool new die cuts. Love the number one! I have been working on die cutting. I have been decorating the negatives to use as pockets and pocket fillers. ❤️❤️❤️
Crazy to watch, as your Big Shot looks so much bigger than mine! The wonders of perspective, eh? I'm gonna be out of town for a few days but back to die cutting when I get home. 😂
Hi Mrs. Gayle. You have some cool dies. Love the pockets and the leaves and page edges. Great video using old friends, good job. TFS and crafty hugs.
Hi sweet friend! ❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct hi my friend. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
Good morning Gayle!! Happy Scrappy Saturday! Awesome die cut play! Love the new edge die cuts. Love it all! So fun. TFS and I hope you and Mike have a wonderful weekend! 💕💞Hugs!!
Morning Junell! ❤
Gayle, the reverse cut if the long skinny line you didn’t care for, makes a cool pocket with a slot opening! 😅
The die with the tab is an envelope. You cut two, then flip one upside down and glue. Thank you for all you teach us! I love watching you craft!
Hi gayle, the skinny one you don't care for is a slot pocket edger. The skinny piece is trash and the other is what you keep. Of you make two or 3 in a row it a pocket with slits to put tags or epemera in. You glue down the sides and bottom of the piece. Tim holtz slot pocket is similer. Have fun.
You have the tim stitch pockets . I do too. The edger just give you the little notch..
The other funky edges interlock to make pages for planners. Kind of a pain.
Hi Isabel! Thanks for helping out this die cutting rookie! I appreciate it! ❤
Good morning Gayle 💜 Happy Scrappy Saturday! I was looking at the heat forecast and you’ve got some scorchers coming up 🥵
Morning Denise! We do! 🥵. My poor retreat folks are going to melt!! 🥴❤
That was fun. I need to pull out my Sizzix. Hugs
Happy scrappy Saturday Gayle 🥰
Love your die cutting session, the skinny page edge dies are really cool. Love all the stuff you made in an hour, fabulous 😍 I am channeling your medallion die cut hope it shows it self. 😂 Wishing you and Mike a beautiful weekend, big hugs 💕
Hi Celeste! Mr. Medallion was hiding in a drawer across the room! He was in the “embossing” drawer instead of the “die cut” drawer! 😂❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Lol 😂💓
Yup, I need a big old die cutting session, too. Someone may have already said ... the hold reinforcer die is stuck to the adapter plate. That is why the label didn't cut out properly as it was layered over top of the circle die. At the end of the video it was still stuck there. Fun video that encourages me to get cranking. 😂 ❤ Belinda xxx
Hi Gayle!! I love die cuts!! There are some very pretty ones out there!! I have ordered some on Etsy before the cost of mailing became way more than the cost of the die cuts themselves!! You cut quite a good pile of them!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Hi Liz! ❤
My son walked in the room as you said ‘It is just fun to pull it out and play with it,’ 😝 Him: ‘Mother, what on earth are you watching?’ 😂
Good morning, Gayle. Really fun die cuts. I do need to use my die cuts more, but agree, they are a lot of work. Have a great weekend.
Morning Robin! ❤
I love my Sizzix Big Shot and have lots of dies (sell die cuts on eBay) and I have found that wax paper helps , especially on some of the intricate dies. There are so many pretty dies out there to choose from - so fun!
Fun reminder to do some die cutting. Enjoyed seeing the edge dies. Hesitant to buy more dies since I so seldom use the ones I have! 😂😂
Boy, do I hear ya! I rarely get mine out and when I do, I can only do it for an hour or so before I get bored! 😂❤
Good morning my dear friend, it’s another sunny beautiful day in the neighbourhood. I am taking a little downtime and enjoying spending some time with you. I hope you and Mike have a wonderful rest of the day. God bless you and your wonderful family and friends always.
Take care and I will see you in the next video.
Your friend Cindy, from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Morning Cindy! Have an awesome weekend, my friend! ❤
I've got so many dies but hardly ever use them - time for a revisit, mind you none of them are as interesting as yours. I do like it when we can spend an hour going through your stash - so much more fun 😀. Big hug my friend
Big hugs and love back, dear Joey! ❤
I need to get out my die cuts and see what I have. Fun video!
Happy Scrappy Saturday sweet Gayle! Have a fabulous day 🌸
You too, Lorie! ❤
🩷🧸Good morning Gayle!🧸🩷
Morning Heather! ❤
If you cut two of the largest die with the tab on top you can put them together to make a sack/pouch.
Oops. Sorry for the duplication. Cindy Matthew’s commented before me.
Hi Gail on the little side edge that you didn’t really like you could use the negative to go around a slit and you could have a slip pocket
Good morning!! Very fun Scrappy Saturday!😊
I have several of the dies you own. Loved the big label die set which I use for presents. 👍
I'm sure that you could position the edgers to make a longer piece to go up the side of a page. 😘
See you later for Ceri's Challenge!🫶
Have a good day!😁❤️
Morning Susan! ❤
Good morning Gayle!🤗💖🦋
Morning Jennie! ❤
Great job. So many awesome dies. I use a thin piece of paper on top of my die when it doesn't want to cut through the first time. It gives it more body. Just a thought. TFS
The leftover pieces from die cutting would make good stencils
Good morning Gayle! Love the die cuts! The one you don't like looks like (to me)a "slot" to tuck an envelope tab (flap) or a different tuck slot. Hope this makes sense, tried to describe as best I could. Have a great weekend! 😊
Morning Vicki! Gotcha! I was not getting that one at all! 😂❤
It took me a bit to figure it out as well.
Good morning, Gayle ❤. The medallion folder is my favorite as well! I am trying to find and purchase the fall leaves folder. Have a blessed Saturday.
Morning Brooke! Too bad my medallion die cut was clear across my room in a drawer! 😂. I wish Timmy would make one of those type of dies in a flower design. ❤️
Hello, my friend, don’t always say something, but I’m always watching. Have a great weekend ❤️
Hi Gayle....I got your notification today❤❤❤
Hi Sue! ❤
I’ve been die cutting as well. It is fun stuff to have!😊❤️
The first large one makes a sack if you glue 2 together. and a bit more versatile if you separate the center hole slot out. I do like the idea of using it as a tip in page. Very nice to see unconventional uses of dies.
Hi Gayle. Absolutely LOVE the leaves. I would make them in several colors (red, yellow, brown, green, deep purple...) for summer and fall. I am sorting and organizing buttons so I didn't everything you cut, but I know I love the leaves. 😁 TFS Hope you and Mike have a great day. 🌞
Hi Donna! Yes! The leaves are really cool! I love my medallion die too…the one that was across the room in a drawer! 😂❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct that's so me...I can't get it because I'm here and it's way over there. Like 5 or 6 steps away. 😂
Good morning 🌞 gayle ❤ 😊
Morning Natalie Anne! ❤
Ty Gayle 💜
I should get my die cut machine out too! It’s been a while.
The edge die you don't like could be used to make slotted pockets with the piece it leaves not the piece that comes out ❤
Hi again...mini pro tip...if you drop your cut out die with paper still attached lightly on your desk, most of the bits you have to poke out, will fall out by themselves...i learned that by accident😂❤❤❤
I do that quite often with my dies. 😂
Morning Gayle 🙏🏼🧸🍀😇
Morning Liek! ❤
I recently picked a sizzick big shot die cutter, directions and all but I know matter how hard and as many time I've tried I just cnt get it to work😢. It's either to thick or thin. I'd give anything to hear that nice crackling sound.
Soo I live thru you❤❤❤
And goodmorning!!
Morning Shawn! ❤
Hi Shawn! There are different types of plates. Also the base for the plates should be able to have thin pieces removed for different types of dies and folders. Try searching UA-cam for some videos. That was how I learned because I went through the same thing as you. I think you can make a shim for the plates using cardstock or chipboard. That might help to cut too.
Die cutting is so hard. I totally feel ya
Nice die cuts!❣
The die you didn't like makes slits on your paper so you can slide in tags. The cut out isn't exciting.😊
❤❤❤
❤
Hi Gayle ❤
Hi Lulu! ❤
If the dies aren’t cleaned out they won’t work as well. I sometimes put waxed paper between die and paper and they come out easier on intricate dies
Me too! Waxed paper worked the best! 😉
I need to find my dye cutter.Today's Quote: Real kindness seeks no return; What return can the world make to rain clouds? ~ Tiruvalluvar Tamil Saga. Happy World Wide Watercolor Month. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
Whenever I see machines like this I always wonder about how it came to be - did someone think to him/herself “I’d love to make a machine that cuts pretty stuff out” lol. There must have been a heap of prototypes before it went to market. I’m the same way about a bunch of other things, for instance, bread making. How did someone come up with all the ingredients needed, and measurements, how did they realize that yeast is needed, and how did they come up with how to make that yeast?
I love your inquiring mind, Siri! So I have a theory about the die cutting machines. I wonder if they are an off shoot of the big die cutting machines used in machinery shops? Maybe a crafter said to a machinist, I’d love one of those to cut out pieces for my crafting? So, there ya go, there’s my “theory of the day”! 😂😂❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct not a bad one, Gayle, not a bad one at all! I didn’t think about that one, mostly because I never even stopped to wonder how the big stuff is made!
😍❤️
Thank you for this video, I do not own a diecutting machine and never have and watching you have to weed those pieces confirms that I’m never going to buy one, even if I find one on sale at the thrift store. I would like to emboss, but the die cutting is a big no for me and I watched this whole video even though I have no intention of buying one? 😊
