I'm still using it - still the central part of my rig when it comes to midi sounds. One tip I can give you is that some sounds will react/trigger better than others for some reason. If you use sounds with a very harsh attack, such as a piano, you might find you get a lot more mis-triggers than if you were using a sound with a softer attack such as a synth lead. In terms of sensitivity, I set the gain on my audio interface to as low as possible - that really helps when it comes to any false triggers due to string noise etc. Hope that helps!

This was my old laptop, so I had it on the slowest settings. Doubling the guitar amp, the latency isn't really noticeable for me - in fact a little latency is quite nice as it thickens the sound, but I have the latency on faster settings now I have a newer macbook pro. I think it also depends on what samples/plugins you're using - I have some really nice IK Multimedia sounds that my old computer struggled with, but less processor-heavy sounds such as the ones in this video ran super-smooth. Hello Paul, this looks great! I downloaded the trial version, but I do have some latency problems, despite my high-end computer. After recording and inspecting the PRV on my DAW, I also see a lot of notes I never played. Does that ring a bell with you?
Hey Peter. Hmm, I have heard there is more latency when using it as a plugin on a DAW, rather than a standalone live performance app. To be honest, I’ve never used it in a DAW so can’t comment on that, but there is practically zero latency on my 2018 MacBook Pro using the standalone app. As for the false triggers, I find that’s a lot to do with how you have your audio interface set. For best results I recommend having the input gain on your interface as low as possible - that way only notes you mean to play register. There’s also a built in gate on the MG2 standalone app that should help filter out mis-triggers from string noise, but again that’s something I’ve not tried - lowering the input gain has always done the trick for me.
