Bingo boards are surprisingly fun when used for pretty much anything except regular bingo.
Not technically related to the video but if it's possible I'd like to see a Mickey only run, I imagine he'd take more work than the forms to get to not break everything but the KH2 modding scene is quite alive so who knows what kind of shenanigans they've figured out.
Edit: you know I think this is the first time I've seen Axel 1 actually turn up in a randomizer, at least in your videos on them so he might have turned up and just be removed from the video but my point still stands, funnily enough I was wondering if he would even actually count.
The main issues Mickey faces are lack of finisher flags on his attacks(fixable, but takes quite some effort), a combo thats terrible on mobs(it moves weirdly, and has really sluggish floaty endlag), and all the standard "lack of basic animations" issues vis a vis opening chests and otherwise navigating the game
I would assume you could get some RCs working by just overriding his menu with the normal one(cause otherwise his RC is always D-Charge/Light of Healing) and putting Pearl on Shortcuts instead(codes can put anything on Shortcuts, old manual "randos" used to use that in certain rooms to make fights work by putting their escape RCs on shortcuts), but anything with an anim would break
@@syrelian Thanks for the extra clarifications, I'm not familiar with the behind the scenes stuff for KH, only really knowing that for a while it was a massive hassle to deal with(thanks in part to Tech Rules' custom boss), so here are the key things I'm wondering I guess:
1 - I do agree that Mickey feels a little weird to play due to these things especially when taking into account how responsive Sora is but I feel that's part of the charm, I'd imagine the lack of finisher flags is probably so you don't go soft locking by defeating a boss while Sora is still dead, not even sure if it's actually possible either
2 - Don't suppose you'd know if it's possible to outright remove or replace those basic animations?
3 - Assuming the Latter is correct for 2 then I'd imagine that same rule could be applied to other unforeseen interactions like casting magic he shouldn't have access too, looking at how Days handles it's playable cast that is.
4 - Completely forgot that the command menu is a whole other beast to tackle, I'd be willing to stripe the RCs away but I know that at least the Axel fights(other than first) regular it, not sure if it would be possible to snatch Minnie's light pillar effect and just skip to the end of the regular RC's effect in that case though.
5 - Always found it funny when Roxas is where Sora should be and he spaghettifies, I would have thought that animations would be tied to limbs or something so you could just swap out models, although that might be a more modern mindset than what 2004(or something) coding would require.
I suppose in the end it might be worth it as a learning experience and as a guide for fellow modders, hell I'd do it if I knew where to start.
@@vulpinitemplar5036 Roxas only spaghets for cutscenes because those just control his limbs directly, for things in actual gameplay he instead t-stances and becomes unplayable(some actions kinda work by sheer luck, thus why Rando Roxas can use Glide and Quick Run, Roxas T-Stances where you hit Quick Run, but it pops him airborne and his landing animation frees him, Glide just suspends his falling animation), this includes casting magic, you could make custom animations for Mickey casting normal magic, but like the Super Pete video, that takes some serious effort
And removing animations from RCs often makes them not work, because they respond to timings in the animation, or hitboxes created by the anim, chests would probably be fixable but most battle RCs just won't work
The lack of finisher tags for his attacks is entirely so that Sora actually has to finish the boss though, yeah

Seriously though, how is it possible Boat Pete got erased? Shouldn't it have just shuffled all the bosses around?
It's the cup bosses. When you make a seed you have the option to add them to the pool, but it doesn't replace /them/ with anything. So you end up with more bosses in the pool than you do spots to put them, and they can't all show up.
@@amconners Well...what about doing the cups? Wouldn't the bosses appear there, then?
@@FerreTrip the setting puts the cup bosses in other places but doesnt change the cups. this means tifa cloud leon and yuffie appear in both the cups and outside the cups.

@@FerreTrip how the randomizer works is it changes a specific spawn to something else. it doesnt change the cups because there is no code in the randomizer that says "change cup1_spawn5 to xigbar" my understanding is that the cups work slightly differently to everything else and are harder to change.
