Susie Arioli band featuring jordan Officer, live at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. with Michael Jerome Browne (guitar) and Shane MacKenzie (bass), recorded june 30th 2006.
Lovely stuff! So relaxedand effortless! To hear the origin of the "Tea for Two" like riff in the first chorus of the tune listen to the Count Basie Orchestra's recording of the same number made on 21st January 1937 for Decca.
I saw the guys in Samois and Jordan Officer was amazing. His tone stole the show for me and he does just whats needed. I would love to play as well as him. so there
he's good at what he does, he's not some super guitar hero or anything but he fits perfectly with this band. He adds just the right texture... if anything it's the local media that loves to overhype anything and everything... that's hardly jordan's fault.... his solo is great here in this context in my opinion
@lennybreaugod: Jordan Officer plays with refinement, nuance, feeling, taste and amazing fluidity. None of these attributes apply to the clip of your playing shared on UA-cam. Keep practicing before you slag off others.
I wouldn't bet the farm on it, but Jordan's guitar looks like an early Epiphone with a DeArmond pickup attached. The fret markers and tuning keys look right, and the logo is somewhat long. See for yourself. Cheers.
Sorry, but UA-cam didn't permit place links on it's own hosted video. What a shame! And I can not load copyrighted video to my account to place it as videoanswer. You can enjoy it if can find with pattern "Jordan Officer - My Baby's Gone and Left me". If find it, be patient: more far is more cool (or hotter) :))
Oh, yeah! ) Here it is. Be patient: more far -- more and more cooler (or hotter) ) @JackTadoussac -- can not place link into this answer for unknown reason. But I place it in video-answer, check it or search with at least this pattern: "Jordan Officer - My Baby's Gone and Left me"
@lennybreaugod Seems you prefer an in-your-face guit=tar style. Amplified to 750 watts or so. Obviously you don't get it; you may not like his tyle but to call him "the worst guitar player I've seen" perhaps provides a clue: you're supposed to HEAR his music, not SEE it. IMHO JO plays some of the best subtle, intricate jazz. Maybe too subtle for you?
No modern musicians in the world perform this kind of music better than Susie and Jordan.
Flowing water & Susie's beautiful voice have a LOT in common :)
Jordan is clearly a master
Love this song ! My only complaint is that it has to end!
Love this jazzed up version.
Susie and Jordan my top favourites on the Alexa: happy and eminently listenable at any time of day!
Oh dear Susie ... I miss you

This is great!
Jordan is playing a 1940 Gibson L-7C with a DeArmond guitar "Mike" through a Fender Pro Junior (stock).
Let's see (and listen too!) how Jordan play the old Blues. I saw the video on youtube, here )
No sé que decir, simplemente me gusta lo tuyo.
Un hommage au Jazz des années 30s, dont cette composition du grand Fats Waller.
A little of 30s Jazz, with this song composed by the great Fats Waller
nice charlie christian vibe!
Pin sharp!
@lennybreaugod wow, you teach jazz guitar, good for you.

The guy playing the flattop is playing stuff that's kinda like my style
