Excellent video..... We admire the beautiful doors many of your homes and businesses have. We can't thank you enough for sharing your videos. Such a beautiful historical country. God bless 🙏🎄☃️🙏
Thinking on your feet is a unique thing. A lot of it in this video 👌 Like the salon western picture you painted of the job with the oval cylinders 😅👏 Hard to beat the humor. Another one enjoyed Thank.
Another brilliant vlog love the longer videos! You are a perfectionist with your work especially with the door wax crayons most locksmiths wouldn’t bother so credit to you!
Just a quick one re pulling out those rounded out screws for euro cylinders, sometimes you can just drill a hole through the screwhead with a hardplate drillbit until the screw head falls off, stick the drill in reverse on a low setting, and it picks up the remaining the screw nicely, with a bit of pressure - just comes straight out. Not that risky as the rounded out screw guides the drill anyway
Impressive work as always Andy. It sounded like you had one happy customer after you gained access to his car, no complaints of cost 😉. As for the door closers, I am always having to adjust them at work (we have a lot) because of temperature. Cold affects the hydrolic fluid and they end up not latching, which is a big no on fire doors protecting escape routes. Once the temp warms up a bit then you have to readjust as they slam a bit. Busy week again for you Andy, at least it brings home the cash.
Hey Nicholas. It’s and intercom system. So someone would push the buzzer, then the occupier would answer the intercom, push a button that releases the electronic strike to allow entry to the building 👍🏼
I noticed you used a Yale 89 in replacement for the broken spring nightlatch. personally, i avoid the 89 and 85 like the plague because people either double lock someone in, or more commonly, open the door, double lock it and slam the door shut breaking the flimsy alloy bolt. Far better, in my opinion to use the 88 or 84, to not get call backs, and they are the same price.
Hi. My works comes from many different avenues. I use Checkatrade, Google Maps, Facebook, and get recommendations from previous customers. I also do work for a lot of letting agents, property management companies, air BnB’s etc.
nice vids andy, i think its called sods law with the screw extractor ! 😂oh and change the sat nav to a male, less stress, what is it with women and control ? 🤣
Ultion are garbage I fitted 2 about 6 years ago both failed within a year and Ultion didnt want to know - never fitted one since and like you talk customers out of fitting them and carry one of the failed ones to show them - Apparantly they now sell lubricant at £11 and if you dont use it on the lock as recommended they wont guarantee them.

Love a Safeware. Ten a penny round my way. The twin spindle of dreams!
I don’t see very many at all here! How funny
@@brighton_locksmith funnily enough just done one this morning! Weirdly don't come across many ERAs. The Safeware is my ERA up here!!
@@granthodgson9671 it’s crazy!!! It’s all about the ERA, Locksmaster and Winkhaus here Grant 🤷🏻♂️

Yes he was extremely pleased 😄
Interesting that temperatures mess with the door closers!!
Thanks as always 🙏🏼
Thanks for the mention. 😊
Pleasure buddy! Thanks for the tip…….even though I couldn’t try the screw extraction kit 😂
As a US locksmith, parden my question, but what type of electric strike was that at the @6:23 ish timeline?

It’s all I had on board mate but it’s easy enough to disable the deadlocking function anyway 👍🏼
Thanks for watching
On the failed Ultion, how would you defeat it if there was no other way of gaining entry?
How are you getting all your work. What marketing or advertising do you do.

@@brighton_locksmith thanks I haven’t done much promotion for a while, thanks for the advice.👍

Hahaha you are correct in both counts 😂😂
Thank you for watching 😁🙏🏼
love the idea with the wax what type of wax did you use ?
Clean the phone holder and windscreen with white vinegar to remove any grease and be careful you don't get caught using the phone whilst driving
Thanks Barry 👍🏼
Blimey you have been busy bud, you will have to use the 70mm to add it to your snib tool list.
Indeed mate.
I think the 70mm backset is so rare there would be any point 😁
That the same for all hy22 or certain models?
I think so bud. I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s that same process with all HY22 👍🏼
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
