Helping New Locksmiths transition from the classroom to the real world of Locksmithing in a chilled and relaxed atmosphere with no pressure, and building your confidence along the way.
I am now offering a range of 1/2, 1, 2, 3 & 5 day locksmith training courses.
My 3 & 5 day Live, Bespoke Shadowing ConfiedenceCourses are designed for New Locksmiths that would like to learn how to transition from a locksmith classroom environment, out into the real world of Locksmithing, in a relaxed atmosphere. We will work through all the jobs together that come in whilst you are with me. I’ll show you what I’m doing and explain why on every job we carry out together. You’ll see me deal with customers, take payments, and deal with the inevitable problems that arise. When there are no jobs booked in, we will be at the training room and we can practice any aspect of locksmithing that you want to brush up on! So whether that’s practicing non destructive entry methods on the door setup’s, lock picking, lock fitting, uPVC gearbox changes…………anything you feel you need more practice on, we can cover together to help you gain the confidence you need.
My other courses are for NEW and Experienced locksmiths that would like to learn a range of different skill sets that are used daily in our industry, including in depth night latch fitting, in depth mortice lock fitting, or maybe expand their knowledge to learn some basic carpentry skills to enable you to make good timber doors and frames after damage or burglary helping locksmiths offer another useful skill and earning more money in the meantime.
You will of needed to of completed a basic locksmith course as a minimum before you come to do any of my courses.
Courses Available from January 13th 2025:
1/2 Day MLA Exam Lock Fitting:
This is a half day course showing how to install the E*S BS Euro Deadlock as required to pass the MLA Exam. The half day course is for guys that are competent and experienced using chisels and power tools and have some mortice lock fitting experience.
1 Day MLA Exam Lock Fitting:
This would be a full days training course showing how to install the E*S BS Euro Deadlock as required to pass the MLA Exam. The full day course is for guys that have less experience using chisels and power tools and less experience in fitting mortice locks.
1 Day Timber Door & Frame Making Good Course for Beginners:
With the 1 Day Making Good Course you will learn the basic carpentry skills required to be able to offer your customers the making good of doors and frames where required, carry out burglary repairs including reinforcing timber frames using a couple of different techniques, saving your customer the hassle of finding 2 tradesmen and earning you more money in the process.
2 Day Lock Fitting Course for Beginners:
The 2 Day Lock Fitting Course will show you how to 'fresh fit' a range of night latches from standard low security night latches up to the more complex British Standard Night latches. You will also install a range of mortice locks from 3 lever deadlocks, 5 lever British Standard deadlocks, and a sash lock by hand as well as teaching you how to use the Souber Mortice Lock Jig.
3 Day Lock Fitting, Plus 1 Day Timber Door & Frame Making Good Course for Beginners:
This is a 3 day course made up of the 2 courses above. So you will be completing the 1 day making good course above as well as the 2 day lock fitting course above. This 3 day course also includes FREE LIFETIME ACCESS to my Online Lock Fitting School.
3 or 5 Day Bespoke Live Shadowing/Training Room Confidence Course:
As described above with the inclusion of free access to my Online Lock Fitting School
