We still have lead acid in our fifth wheel but when we start really traveling I wanna swap to at least a 100 amp hour lithium. I’ll need to swap out the converter, too though so yay another expense. Lol.

I use a 300ah by another brand for my main emergency power. It has been a lifesaver especially last year during 5 power outages during Louisiana heat emergencies. I used it for a very small window ac.

Yeah you definitely realize what I think everybody's going to eventually be on board within that is the fact that these things are getting cheap enough that they are becoming very valuable as power supplies for recreation like rving or like you said during emergencies. By the way, just curious, what's the btu of the window AC unit and what size inverter do you use and how long does it run?

@@Rvdaydream I`ve never ran the battery to zero but with a watt meter between a 5000 BTU manual Frigidaire AC (400w max) and a 2000w inverter I got up to 18 hours running it on low using about 3300 wh of energy. My record in cooler weather was 32 hours but the compressor rarely came on. This was starting with a fully charged battery and no solar. I got sent the wrong meter to monitor input/output to the battery and never bothered trying again. I usually grid charge before bad weather and only use solar when I have to because of lightning here. I got this stuff before going on SS and can`t afford to replace it if it all gets toasted by a lightning bolt and they hit the roof over my camper I live in regularly.
