I gotta think if we had drafted either Melo or Wade the Pistons definitely win in '04 and '05. Then, Ben Wallace had left the team...I don't think Ben would have left. I think they would have had a shot at a 3-peat for sure, and definitely would have stayed competitive for a good while. Now bosh, I'm not 100% sure because we had traded for sheed. So it wouldn't have been the optimal choice. We needed a wing, and Wade and Melo fit the mold perfectly. This mistake still haunts me. As a diehard Bulls fan from the early Jordan years, I can definitely say DRose not being healthy for the 2012 rematch against The Heatles was/is the biggest what-if in Bulls history followed by what-if MJ didn't retire in '93 and again in '98, do the Bulls win in '94 and '99 against the Rockets and Spurs? I say yes but I digress!
My top 3 what-if's in league history though gotta be:
- What if Magic Johnson didn't have to retire? Do the Blazers, Suns, Rockets, Sonics & Jazz each make the NBA finals in the years following his retirement if he never steps away?

I think of David Robinson as a physical anomaly as well. The man was a physical monster. 7' 250 pounds, ATHLETIC, Strong and quick. He could outwork point guards. I just wish his leg never broke and his back wasn't bad. The man could've even had a more dominant career.
