It would make sense if it was a chunk or small piece of the song, but this is literally just half the song with a slight pitch and speed change. For example, Kanye West’s “I Wonder” samples a part of another song, but doesn’t straight up steal it

That’s the part that qualifies it as plagiarism. It’s the same as a research paper using other scientists data to make a point. If they don’t properly credit their sources, it’s called plagiarism, rightfully so. They have fair use of the information as long as the creators are properly credited for their work. This music always reminds me of when me and my mother had a harsh argument the day before she suffered from a seizure. I received the phone call while i was in college. And before i knew it, i was dashing down the street blocks towards the hospital they had taken her to. All that i remember feeling was how scared i was that she wouldn't make it, and if she didn't, our last moment together would had been arguing. And if that was the case, i would never be able to live with myself knowing i never apologized, i was regretting every single word i threw at her the day before. I was damn near begging that it was all a dream.
They wouldn't let me into her room when i got to the hospital. Hours and hours went by and i was livid with adrenaline and guilt. Finally they let me in, and i nearly jumped onto her hospital bed, crying my eyes out like a newborn child, apologizing for every wrong doing i had ever done.

The song is originally called Girl A the creator is sinamota ( this is a remix of it) he sadly took his own life ( July 23 2015) but what really happened is unknown so people think the most accurate cause was him taking his own life. His songs were cry's for help.
