Wow I cant stress this enough....... the way he explained this.... its like explaining addition below 10 to first graders..... wow.. awsome dude. Thankyou ssoooooooooo much
simple, it doesn't. ppl who are interested in maths find this interesting and all, but most ppl here are learning this for exams which test ur "knowledge"
Thanks for great videos. But how do you add two vectors with x and y elements that don't originate from the origin. Any clarification would be gratefully appreciated.
+Leo Rosemann No. You can calculate length using Pythagora's Theorem which gives the length of a+b as sqrt(5^2+2^2)=sqrt(25+4)=sqrt(29) and the length of a-b as sqrt(1^2+(-4)^2)=sqrt(1+16)=sqrt(17). You can also think about the vectors a=(2,0) and b=(1,0). Adding them would give a+b=(3,0), subtracting them would give a-b=(1,0). Clearly not the same length!
sal, you made it easy by giving Cartesian coordinates instead of polar coordinates, but I guess this is neither a trigonometry lesson nor a physics lesson
This helps so much, both you and the organic chemistry tutor are the most helpful people in the world for me
I totally agree
We're all here cause our teachers are buns
Literally cannot agree more with this comment. This is possibly the most accurate comment in all of youtube.
Exactly! I can't disagree
My teacher is a potato..........
you made me cry #so_true
Yeesss absolutely right!!!
lol
actually these videos are made in heaven. makes my teacher seem like a Neanderthal
Lol true😂
11 dislikes are all teacher's who are watching XD XD XD XD
its 45 now :I they come here to take help XD XD
Hehe🤣🤣🤣
I am here ..because your way of explaining is awesome
My left ear enjoyed this one a lot.
I can hear it in both. Your head phones good?
U r the only sir after byjus teaching in English
Very precise and clear explanation . Thanks
Hello Sal. I'm a huge fan! xD
Wow I cant stress this enough....... the way he explained this.... its like explaining addition below 10 to first graders..... wow.. awsome dude. Thankyou ssoooooooooo much
What i ment was he explained it easier and understandable than many other ppl on UA-cam or irl
this saved my life tomorrow i ahve a quiz weewooew
thank you professor you're the goat
I want to know how this is going to benefit us in the future

My physics teacher doesn't even know who he is👀 how is that guy gonna teach

Great video! Do a+b and a-b have the same lenght?

What softwere do u use? And im a big fan as well!
@Karthikeya Sanne are you sal?
Can i ask what about the subtraction of vectors which are in the same directions?

Ryan Schultz its a precalculus lesson, the video is on khan academy website under pre cal
but how do you know which vector to move, like what if i had b+a and b-a does that mean that i will be moving a instead of b?
N
then do subtraction for (3i-2j-3k)-(i+2j+3k)
Why aren't brackets being used? I don't think I've ever seen parentheses ever used for vectors, since they universally denote ordered pairs/points.
you're awesome
I came here bcuz my classmates is smarter than my teacher in speaking English bcuz I'm from phillipines
Sal I went on your site and it says its a virus and I went on it and my computer is very slow why is your website a virusLove Brady, Ps:Please Help!
hello
Srsly i could just dump school and learn here and still be state 1st
Why the heck do teachers make it soo complicated 😕
i'vE NEVER BEEN SO EARLY
I WANT LOVE FOR YOU AND
You made a mistake while demonstrating the adding in the x axis
Uni is for bums
