Very pretty ,,,,my granddaughter is a nurse on the cancer floor and she wants me to make hats. I told I would try and these hats are very pretty. Thanks for sharing. Pamela from Ohio
Thank you I love your work and instructions. You make it so clear. I will make some as well, thank you for the pattern you gave so generously. May you be Blessed
I just completed this hat and absolutely love it! It will go to Halo Keepers who distributes our creations to the children with cancer at our local hospital and Ronald McDonald House. Thank you for sharing your designs.
I've been following your channel for a while now, I came across your channel when I was looking for chemo hats to crochet. I didn't have breast cancer but I do have Acute myeloid leukemia Philadelphia chromosome. Just making myself some chemo hats I changed the pink stripes to Orange. Thank you so much for making this tutorial it's very easy to follow. I'm also crocheting chemo hats for Moffitt Cancer center in Tampa Florida where I go and I will be donating some hats there....
Thank you. I'm making this right now, literally, same yarn and colors and it's coming out so pretty I just can't wait to finish it to show it off on fb!!!!
Dear sara, I will make 12 of these for some people I take care of women in a hospice care chemo and radiation treatment program that I in as an lpn nurse. Thanks for this and I am crocheting shawls to. I have been crocheting since I was 7 years old.
Sara, my condolences. I too lost my mom who I don't think I will ever stop crying for every time I mention or think about at all. I always say if crying and missing is all that I have, I don't want to stop crying and missing her. Your sharing this is very special so a really special thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you for sharing this, we too have lost loved ones to cancer and it's so hard. I appreciate your video and posting the pattern as free. Big Hugs!!
Thanks for the wonderful pattern and tutorial. I am making hats for a knitting friend who has cancer for the 3rd time. I am going to look for a pink ribbon button to put on my flower. I think she will like that.
The pattern is beautiful! I made one and it came out very nice. I made my stitches a little too tight so it's like a children's size but now I know what to do next time :) I love how it came out though, you're brilliant!
@@SaraSach thank you! I will definitely try that :) this is my favorite channel I have been making so many of your patterns and I love them all I'm a beginner so I appreciate how you explain everything and go step by step not many channels do that and you make amazing patterns
I love this pattern. My mother-in-law has cancer and needs a chemo hat. I would like if you would place your camera behind you so we can see your demonstration better. Love your channel!
Thank you so much for the pattern and video! I get by on the common stitches but thank you for showing how to do the cross stitch. Do you happen to have a place where I can print the pattern out so I don't have to keep looking at the screen? Thank you very much for your generosity. My mom just started chemo for breast cancer. I'm sorry about your mom. Hugs!
The Free Pattern link is in the notes under the video. It's to my blog, just highlight the pattern, and copy and paste it to a document, and print the document.
I am having a little trouble I'm real for I have 48 stitches but when I get to roll 5 I I wind up anywhere from 58 two 60 in the beginning or Row 5 you say chain up three one stitch and then two stitches in the next Stitch
For some reason no matter how many times I try to make the hat with different sizes different yarns it comes out flat on the top and then almost a 90° angle going straight down instead of a curve I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Stitches look really pretty but I feel like I'm messing up somewhere but I'm not sure what I'm doing
I am sorry you are having trouble. It's hard to say if your doing something wrong, without seeing your work. Maybe try tightening your tension on the top few rows.
Dear Sarah I'm trying to to make these for chemo patients and I am making shawls to a radiation treatment to. Right now please 🙏 for me hospital.what size hooks and yarns
I dont know how blogs work but would like the pattern my myself I have been through chemo an radiation therapy with my brain cancer an I love crocheting
hi. can u tell me what glue did u use for the gem in your flower please???? thank you. i want to make one for my sister just diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung. my condolences to you for your loss.
Hi Sara I was wondering if you could help me out. I have *Premier yarn Ever Soft* and wanted to use that. (im just getting back into crocheting after about 20 year off lol) it says its a medium 4 yarn, 4x4 inches with a 5mm hook, and 18 rows....so I guess my question would be what size of hook could I use with this yarn to use this pattern, thanks so much
so I was wondering what I did wrong because after the row of 57 stitches the next would be 72 and i did not. I then did another row of 2dc same stitch and 4 dc Now i have 80. can I just continue on with this since you are not increasing any more...thanx
Donna, I'm wondering if your count on Row 5 ended up being 60 and not 57. I've done this hat 3 times now and at no time do I ever get 57 stitches. I didn't have a problem with Row 6. It did come out to be 72. It seemed weird to me the first time I made it why all the other rows were an even number and Row 5 was an odd number. It fits fine but I wondered if I was the only one to have this same issue with that row.
@@tinahairston6383 I glad I'm not the only one. I re did that row about 5 times and still got 60. I was ready to pull my hair out. Thought I had lost my mind. lol. I should have read all comments beforehand. I would have finished it last night.
@@SaraSach I think that the camera makes it appear you are left handed, Sara. Also, the camera is too far away from your hand to see, even though your instructions are very good.

If you use a gem, you can either use E6000 glue or Hot glue. Both work fine.

If It's a med (4) you would use a 5.00MM /H. If you have any other questions about the pattern, the pattern link is in the notes under the video.
Really would have preferred to see this from your view instead of upside down. I can't follow this, especially with chemo-fog. Thanks anyway.

are the hat for any size?
The hat fits a 18 to 20 inch head - youth to adult.
Sara Sach okay thanks because I was told the you have to measure the person said in order to make the right size
You can measure and adjust the pattern if their head is smaller or larger.
Camera needs to be behind you just saying
