    Hey Mark, three of us did a French river to Georgian Bay trip in July (3 Seadoos). Started at Hwy. 69 on Pickerel river, camped along the route. Tried going down the different rapids and we succeeded on the third ones (I believe there are only 1 rapids that you can semi-safely come back up in the summer). camped on the Georgian bay islands for a night and came back up (total 3 nights). Great trip. Wish we had a drone, so we could scope out the rapids. We had to get off, and go on foot to check the rapids to see if we can make it down and up. Had a blast.

      Ah that is so great that you guys got to do that. Yes that is what I heard and found as well that only one that is good is in the five fingers rapids and then used the crooked rapids to get up and down, they were so fun! Nice I want to get out to the islands to see how the camp sites were. Are they ok for a sea doo and may I ask what site number you stayed at? Smart with the drone as you can see I did the same things as you did to try and find a good route. Well thank you for sharing about your trip I know I will be going back up there next season for sure so much more to see and explore. All the best Cheers!

    One of my favorite places to ride since retiring on the French River.

      On the upper French near Alban. I have to trailer to Pickerel River/hwy 69 to access the bay via the Bad River.
      So did u figure out the access on your own?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  Рік тому +1

      That is so great! yes was a lot of looking at maps and then putting the drone up to see what might work and then found the crooked rapids and they worked great to go up and down from the river the GB and back.

    Nice how deep was that last cute you went up at end of the video? I have sand I can can hit down here; you have rocks! :-) Very nice video!

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  Рік тому +1

      I was surprised it was around 11 feet deep but very narrow. Right I would have liked the sand for sure but nope rocks for us but makes it fun for sure! Thanks as always for checking in out cheers!

    Really bold or gutsy going near those rapids and up the narrow shute at the end of the video. Any scrapes?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  Рік тому +1

      LOL yes not sure what one you would pick. But in the end no scrapes was not as bad as I thought it would be just need to pick your line and have it in sports mode so you have all the power if you need it.

    Great vid. I live in Timmins On. 4 hrs north of where you shot this. I plan on doing this next summer. 1 question. What would have you done if you broke down?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much! oh nice would love to get up that way. Nice you will have a great time exploring the area. Great question I have some basic tools and a power bank for the battery and then I have a Zoleo GPS EMG unit that can send an sos from anywhere and can send texts even if there is no cell phone signal. Highly recommend it. If you have any more questions please let me know. All the best Cheers!
