I got one and it very good watch. The compass works great, I haven't use the pedometer. Dual time feature is not of great help, backlight is great and it is water resistant, no problems with showers, hands washing. Very light too and comfortable. Accuracy is about + 1 minute a month, I guess not that bad.

Very interesting. This a homage to Casio AE1200 but no world map on face. SKMEI watches have definitely good values.
It's got world time though :P

These are really packing quite a lot of features.
I have the Casio Royale and I really like it a lot, but man, I love a watch with a compass for hiking and camping. Considering this has a pedometer also, I'll order it for those 2 features alone.
Compass isn't really useful on a watch, and now that we have GPS, even more so. Much more useful is a barometer, which will warn you when it's going to rain. Pedometer is probably really inaccurate. Fun toys, but don't put too much stock in these gizmo features. Really the most useful gizmo features is atomic synced time, and being solar powered - your watch is always right, and never dead.
Skmei is the watch snob destroyer...
sometimes skmei makes better improvements that original doesn't have, so skmei can sometime win

Casio Royale is a real world time watch. That is what it's designed for.

It doesn't look like the Skmei 1382 is still available. They only have the 1335 which doesn't have the compass and pedometer features. That's too bad, I would have liked to buy one.

wtf the skmei actually has more features than the original that is copying... well I guess the royal is a very old model, but casio should update their older, classic models
Yeah I bought one for that reason, also it was decently cheaper. At some point I might buy the casio royale as well since its a bit different. The Electro luminescence is pretty good and I like that there is a compass and step counter. The build quality is lower than expected from a casio as expected.

Looks like they really upgraded this model, there is another that looks the same but has considerably less features(no compass, only dual time etc), this is a really good match for the casio royale.
Yes. I did a video of the other watch too. Please be aware that these Skmei watches are plastic. I belive the Casios are made of metal..?
@@SimplyUnboxIt Casio's are also made of plastic. The back is stainless steel, and the bracelet (if purchasing a model with a bracelet) is stainless steel, but the case is always resin.
@@SimplyUnboxIt Skmei screens are plastic, as opposed to glass or cristal screens made by serious manuracturers like Casio.

Is your pedometer working correctly? At my 1382 it does recognize too much as steps. There is no change when I change the sens. I also think they have quality problems. At my first 1382, the backlight did not work.
It works quite good, but of course it can't be perfect, so sometimes mocement with hand is registered as a step.
It's sad that in less than 2 years, they stopped making this watch...

Is it just painted black?
Concerning the black version:
* Watchstrap is painted black.
* Resin case is made of black material. So it is solid colored.
--> Case cannot loose color, but strap can.
Concerning the silver version:
* Watchstrap is not painted you see the pure metal.
* Resin case is painted.
--> Strap cannot loose color, but case can.
I have both versions, I like the silver version, becaus it looks better for me. Its the watch for dinner and parties.
The black version is the tough one, were the case will never die. It is the watch for adventure and outdoor activities. The strap can be exchanged if painting got lost.
Anyway I am wearing now the black version since one year. There is only little little loss of paint.
I'm really curious on how this watch compares to casio. It has more features, but how about the build quality? With that being said, skmei sure do make a lot of bang for your buck watches
Skmei do a good job packing functions into the watches, but I would expect higher quality from a Casio branded watch + waterproof + better battery life.

I'd be more worried about the battery life. Casio has a reputation for making watches that can push a lithium battery 10-20 years. Cheap ass watches... maybe 1-2 years? Changing a battery is a pita.
