Yep. That was the first nail in the coffin for me. Then Whole Cake Island was a massive stake in the coffin and I was like, FK THE ANIME. Crazy how this was 12 YEARS AGO AHAHHA. I did nothing with my life.
that was a pretty small mistake, but I don't think Oda accidentally forgot to draw an entire fight scene. The point of this fight was to make Zoro look more badass by defeating him instantly.
first of all zoro vs kaku was after skypiea, secondly haki is haki, the fact that it was shown in episode 4 proves that Haki exists and Zoro was feeling the breath of all things in his fight with Mr. 1 much like Roger's ability to hear the voice of all things, he was clearly predicting what was about to happen which is what color of observation haki is
I was quite dissapointed at Luffy being hurt badly after fighting Hody that he needed blood transfer. Although I am not surprised since it was all underwater, where Hody had a bigger advantage.
@MadaraXIII Don't know yet, nothing has been mentioned about it. I wouldn't put it past Mihawk to take it to either help him, or remind him that they are still enemies. Mihawk is a pretty cold cowboy.
That slash was matter of milliseconds. It was moving so fast beyond our eye's comprehension. They had to slow it down so that we can see the slash and show how fast hordy reacted to the slash. Slash should be naked to the human eye because it's so fast the animators had to slow it down so we could see it.
Lol he most likely already knows how to use Haki (he was trained by an emperor remember?), and most likely Sanji ALSO knows how to use Haki (Ivan would've taught him at Okama land). Robin and Franky are my next guess as to whether they may be able to use a little bit of Haki. Now...the rest of the crew I don't know xD
I wonder what would Hodi's reaction if he was fighting Sanji underwater.Because it was stated that Sanji's speed under water is as fast as an top class fishman/merman.
I don't what the other crew members can do since the time skip zoro is something fucking else I mean the guy created the illusion of Asura with his spirit alone as soon as luffy teaches him haki (if he already doesn't know it from training with *the worlds greatest swordsman*) then he will be unstoppable
No, Zoro has been shown to have Haki as it was explicitly distinguished from dodging. In his fight against Mr. 1, Mr. 1 asked how he dodged them and he said "I didn't, I just knew where they were going to fall." Likewise with Kaku, he was wondering how he got struck and he said "how did he know what attack I was going to use?" Haki isn't a skill level or even pertinent to reflexes. The fact of the matter is he predicted moves in these situations and denying them as Haki is just stupidity
Honestly, I believe thats due to they dont want it to be a bleach accident, where the anime stops due to it speeding up to where the manga is at but Idk
Yeah so i've heard. Punk Hazard right? Im following the anime myself, last I saw Zoro just blocked the New Fishman Pirates' Swordsman from killing Robin (I've forgotten his name sorry). Am I ANYWHERE near the end of the Fishman island Arc cos it doesn't look like it from where Im standing, we haven't even started the individual fights yet
Im going to ask for a minor spoiler here. I've heard rumours fromt he end of the Fishman island arc that seems to indicate the final Straw hat MIGHT at some point in the future be Jimbei. Can you confirm or deny this at alll?
@KrissFao It's all, I read the manga too so I don't mind. But it's still not fair to ruin the fun for the anime fans. Of topic question, but have you read the latest chapter yet? c:
oh yeah thats toally the case. I mean its ok comparedf to arcs of the past but really if we're comparing it to past arcs the ones that are actually worth comparing it to in terms fo scale and fights and plot etc are the East blue arcs. I mean its not as if the start of the second half should be aiming to top the stuff that happened in the Whitebeard War arcs or even the CP9 arcs. the dial has sort of been dialed back a bit altho i reckon the grand finale will b biger than the marineford arc
U never know maybe the fight was like this but the manga just skipped the beggining parts. Like how they skipped the fight between the princes and hody's crew later in the manga
Dude i know all that. But remember when they were fighting a kraken and chopper used a rumble ball to turn into guard point. that was a mistake and oda informed toei so that it was fixed in the anime. Oda keeps a connection with toei. He gave a lot of filler ideas to toei. So maybe this was one of them. U never know
Thats actually the complete opposite of how OP bounties work. Kids got more bounty then luffy because of the mass slaughter of innocents, while luffy got his from being daring with fighting ability to back it up. A bounty is not a power level and shouldnt be considered one. Jimbe and arlong were never equal or even close, just cus they grew up together jimbe was always far above him in power, the flashbacks show that clearly.
this is a filler he meant to say was that in manga it was a small fight as zoro gets in water he just cuts hody and finish the fight in manga was of 3 sec
Arlong is beast ass hell, he was fierce, no humans could never beat him, the only reason why Kizaru beat him because he was off guard, if Kizaru was fighting him head-on Kizaru would be fish food. Arlong can beat any human one One piece, Luffy just won because Arlong was so arrogant and angry, Arlong is the strongest. He should be a shichibukai.
@xXLoveToDrawXx did you even pay attention to the plot? To get to the new world, everyone has to go through fish man island which is inhabited by fucking fish men.
the individual fights shouldn't last long aside from luffy v. hordy. The new fishman pirates are basically fodder in comparison to the straw hats. You are getting near the end, but the episodes seem to be dragging out the fights a little too much. For example the fight in this video was literally zoro owning hordy in like one panel, but you get a several minute fight in the anime.
@jovon513 not sharinggan but mihawk eye.... when zoro practice with mihawk , zoro eye get badly injury and mihawk give his eye to zoro... just my theory .-.
one word luffy. if he stuck to the grand line he would easily of gotten a higher bounty. Hes a fishman and he could of destroyed other pirate's boats. Instead he wanted to start of slow then work his way up, but just his luck luffy stopped him. Sure luffy would of beat him again in the grand line but he would of gotten stronger through experience like jimbe did.
OMGS 0:18 TO 0:24 CONFIRMS ZORO HAS CoO HAKI COME ON NOW LOOK HOW HE DEFLECTS AND SWAYS GENTLE TO DODGE THE WATER ARROWS!! WHY CAN'T THEY JUST CONFIRM IT ALREADY!!!
I love how they made it look like Zoro was trying. In the manga, this fight was one panel long...
Yep. That was the first nail in the coffin for me. Then Whole Cake Island was a massive stake in the coffin and I was like, FK THE ANIME.
Crazy how this was 12 YEARS AGO AHAHHA. I did nothing with my life.
@@gid519algorithim brought me here
@@gid519to be fair it makes sense. He’s fighting a fishman in water. Also manga will always look faster
I prefer the manga version of the fight where everyone is like: "You cant beat a fishman in water" But Zoro one shots him with one slash. like a boss
"No matter how good you are, you can't beat a Fish-Man in the sea."
I call Bullshit. Sanji did.
Hordy: You can't deflect the arrows in the water.
Zoro: Tha Hell I can't!
This made me watch Arlongs episodes again... Roronoa's improvement is incredible
that arrow dodging reminds me of vegeta dodging punches of imperfect cell. kickass stuff all the way.....
Lol in the manga, Zoro finished this fight in like 5 seconds. Haha
Can;t wait to hear the story about the eye!
This fight would have been great for Sanji, with the way he can move and use hit underwater.
yeah, in the manga he was just like "shut the fuck up! *slash*"
shielding yourself with a fellow fishman like a boss!
I want to say this is not Haki he just can see through Hordy's attacks
Thank You
Excellent vid
I bet Zorro's left eye is not blind. Probably a hidden Hawkeye technique that only use in crucial moments.
yeah no
that was a pretty small mistake, but I don't think Oda accidentally forgot to draw an entire fight scene. The point of this fight was to make Zoro look more badass by defeating him instantly.
he was showing mercy.
first of all zoro vs kaku was after skypiea, secondly haki is haki, the fact that it was shown in episode 4 proves that Haki exists and Zoro was feeling the breath of all things in his fight with Mr. 1 much like Roger's ability to hear the voice of all things, he was clearly predicting what was about to happen which is what color of observation haki is
Even thought it has already been told. It you can clearly see that how zoro was evading those shark arrows was clearly observation haki
Dramatic effect. It was actually moving at the speed of sound. Just ignore Hordy putting that one fishmen in front of him for half a minute. lol
Am I the only one that Hordy Jones reminds me of Michael Jackson?
Young Michael Jackson. I can see it
Have you ever played Gears of War? Using a meat shield is always more fun. :D
Making shark arrows in water and throwing them at zoro.... seems all legit
I like the little avatar ...
I was quite dissapointed at Luffy being hurt badly after fighting Hody that he needed blood transfer. Although I am not surprised since it was all underwater, where Hody had a bigger advantage.
i wana see zoro and luffy fight again like the one before :D
You should know you're not going to win a war when the second strongest guy beat the crap out of you in your natural element.
Zoro is a beast :D One hitting a strong fishman underwater :D
throwing water arrows underwater... seems legit.
I think the reason why is to show the overwhelming strength after 2 years of training. This is probably more of an introduction arc
frist 2023 commet lets gooo
wow.... I have a great feeling that zoro could become an amazing jedi...
dodging those water bullets like there nothing o.o
@KrissFao Did you really have to spoil... The fight hasn't even aired yet. D:
@KrissFao I know right. x'D Totally didn't see the last panel with the warship coming.
SO BEAST !
@MadaraXIII Don't know yet, nothing has been mentioned about it. I wouldn't put it past Mihawk to take it to either help him, or remind him that they are still enemies. Mihawk is a pretty cold cowboy.
conqueror haki was introduced, and yet there wasnt a single glimpse of armaments and observation until the skypea arc
It was quite obvious zoro used at least kenbunshoku in his fight with Mr 1
What's the name of the soundtrack when hody and zoro are in underwater?
@jovon513 I've been reading the manga and I gotta ask. WTF made him lose his eye?
It too keep the video length 23min long. So they add more fighting into it.
That slash was matter of milliseconds. It was moving so fast beyond our eye's comprehension. They had to slow it down so that we can see the slash and show how fast hordy reacted to the slash. Slash should be naked to the human eye because it's so fast the animators had to slow it down so we could see it.
Yeah so fast a dude was able to speak a full sentence before he reached him.
Bad Ass...
wow!!
Yes that is true, it may happen
he was getting his assed kicked though. He had to blow air in the gills just to get away.
I don't what the other crew members can do since the time skip zoro is something fucking else I mean the guy created the illusion of Asura with his spirit alone as soon as luffy teaches him haki (if he already doesn't know it from training with *the worlds greatest swordsman*) then he will be unstoppable
0:17
Either Zoro had a really sharp eye or that's definitely CoO Haki. Also this fight was way better in the manga.
only a badass like him can take a fishmen on underwater.
If you don't own anything, then why do you have your name watermarked on the video?
Making reasonable deductions isn't stupid. I don't know about this scene but he has clearly used it before the time skip
No, Zoro has been shown to have Haki as it was explicitly distinguished from dodging. In his fight against Mr. 1, Mr. 1 asked how he dodged them and he said "I didn't, I just knew where they were going to fall." Likewise with Kaku, he was wondering how he got struck and he said "how did he know what attack I was going to use?"
Haki isn't a skill level or even pertinent to reflexes. The fact of the matter is he predicted moves in these situations and denying them as Haki is just stupidity
He meant its like Arlong park all over again.
kinda wish they stuck with the one shoting and expanded another scene
Honestly, I believe thats due to they dont want it to be a bleach accident, where the anime stops due to it speeding up to where the manga is at but Idk
Yeah so i've heard. Punk Hazard right? Im following the anime myself, last I saw Zoro just blocked the New Fishman Pirates' Swordsman from killing Robin (I've forgotten his name sorry). @Braxus6 Special eye powers from Naruto(I believe you spell it like sharingan though)
But he had air in his cheeks, while his mouth was open.
So...Zoro has blue-grey eyes. Cool.
the water arrows i guess arlong used. and Arlong was a hero to the fishmen who hated humans.
Hordy Jones...Hordy...
*Facepalm*
Im going to ask for a minor spoiler here. I've heard rumours fromt he end of the Fishman island arc that seems to indicate the final Straw hat MIGHT at some point in the future be Jimbei. Can you confirm or deny this at alll?
@KrissFao It's all, I read the manga too so I don't mind. But it's still not fair to ruin the fun for the anime fans.
Of topic question, but have you read the latest chapter yet? c:
don't worry after this arc op gets pretty intense again
oh yeah thats toally the case. I mean its ok comparedf to arcs of the past but really if we're comparing it to past arcs the ones that are actually worth comparing it to in terms fo scale and fights and plot etc are the East blue arcs. I mean its not as if the start of the second half should be aiming to top the stuff that happened in the Whitebeard War arcs or even the CP9 arcs. the dial has sort of been dialed back a bit altho i reckon the grand finale will b biger than the marineford arc
is hordy related to Arlong or something? Why did zoro see resemblence between the two?
I wonder if Zoro opens up his bad eye if he now has a sharinggan?
Fishmen stronger than humans, my ass
0:29 Were his eyes always like that? They look kind of like Mihawk's, only smaller.
U never know maybe the fight was like this but the manga just skipped the beggining parts. Like how they skipped the fight between the princes and hody's crew later in the manga
Dude i know all that. Jimbe and arlong were never equal or even close, just cus they grew up together jimbe was always far above him in power, the flashbacks show that clearly.
um spongebob takes a bath under water o.o (almost same thing)
If he couldnt cut it in east blue how would he do better in the grand line?
Hordy is an epic bad guy, and Zoro is even more epic :)!
this is a filler he meant to say was that in manga it was a small fight as zoro gets in water he just cuts hody and finish the fight in manga was of 3 sec
avoid the shark arrows LIKE A BOSS!
@jovon513 lol or a rinnegan...everyone now a days have them in naruto lol
@xXLoveToDrawXx did you even pay attention to the plot? To get to the new world, everyone has to go through fish man island which is inhabited by fucking fish men.
0:34 Wouldn't it have been easier to just to take one step to the side?
They should have just left this fight the way it was in the manga.
He's a badass... enough said :P
This is what happens if zoro has a health body!
Thought the same thing, in the manga this fight was pretty one sided in zoro's favor.
what its a very long fight but in manga only one slash by zoro and he was out
He's Zoro not Kenpachi :P
the individual fights shouldn't last long aside from luffy v. hordy. The new fishman pirates are basically fodder in comparison to the straw hats. You are getting near the end, but the episodes seem to be dragging out the fights a little too much. For example the fight in this video was literally zoro owning hordy in like one panel, but you get a several minute fight in the anime.
Either way he still looked badass.
arent reasonable as those feats were shown LONG before haki was introduced, it was made to show that zoro wasnt just the average swordman
WTF Arlong was sooooooooo much cooler than that bastard Hordy!!
i mean what's with his belly?!!
Arlong is a mid level bruiser on the grand line which doesnt amount to much in the big picture.
zoro: getsuga tenshou
@RedRubyDragon6402 Shit, sorry, forgot about people who don't read manga, my apologies ; D
I thought the arc ended here for a little while :|
well yeah. It helps avoid filler too.
@jovon513 not sharinggan but mihawk eye....
when zoro practice with mihawk , zoro eye get badly injury and mihawk give his eye to zoro...
just my theory .-.
i am not new to watch Op! i am on the newest episodes! -.-
one word luffy.
if he stuck to the grand line he would easily of gotten a higher bounty. Hes a fishman and he could of destroyed other pirate's boats. Instead he wanted to start of slow then work his way up, but just his luck luffy stopped him. @96Breeezy i couldn't agree more..zoro is really badass and really really strong but of course not stronger than luffy at all
