PS4 is capped at 720p, Pro at 1080p for Remote Play
Does using 720p help the deck can't take advantage of that 1080p signal
1080p looks better in this case, it's a bit of supersampling to the image, no jaggies!

@@SantiagoSantiago didn't know about it having better image quality if there's no or very little latency penalty I'm going to change chiaki to 1080p. Currently I only stream lighter games like sports game franchise mode stuff. But I do want to stream stray soon I have it on PS5 and don't want to buy it again lol.
Shouldn't be an issue with latency, battery life should be slightly better, but nothing big there

I also play through Steam, I played through Baldur's Gate 3 while lying on the couch, but I didn't know about consoles. I wonder if it's possible to do the same with an Xbox? thanks for the video

That is a great guide. I have one problem, as soon as my ps5 goes to sleep mode it disappears from chiaki (cannot wake it up through chiaki), is there any setting on ps5 that could help it?
Make sure the option for "Rest Mode" has the internet connection option enabled, sometimes it takes a few secs to show up on Chiaki
For me Chiaki4Deck randomly loses connection. Some days perfect. Others WiFi cuts out. Luckily I had bought a Portal before the Steam deck oled. Which is flawless every time. I had hoped to sell it. But while there's issues I won't.
do you have your ps5 connected to ethernet? mine works flawlessly. been playing bg3 no issues on my deck because of it
@@TheRandumDude Yes it's not a problem with PS5. I get an exclamation mark through WiFi on steam deck via Chiaki4Deck . It works fine downloading games etc. But Chiaki4Deck doesn't like it. 90% of time it's OK. My Portal never cuts out. So have to keep it. Although I prefer using the Deck
I can't get the select/confirm/x button to activate when I use c4d.
The wifi icon is red even though I am connected to the same wifi.
I didn't have these issues last time I played it.
I've done the setup already but upgraded my wifi to 5g/6(?)between now & the last time I played with it.
This thing has been annoying me since I bought it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey! Not sure about the controls, make sure the steam input controls match with the c4d ones, when it comes to wifi, change the 5 GHz operating channel to 44 in the router settings, worked for me, to do that each router has a different ui, but that change to 44 should do it

Why doesnt chiaki4deck detect my ps5 automatically.
I see this up in my OLED Deck, and it works great, but, it also seems a complete waste of a Steam Deck. For me I haven't really got into the Deck and I may be better off selling it for a PS Portal as I'll use the PS5 Remote Play for sure. Also the Deck is a tiny bit too big for my hands.
Cannot retrieve Account ID when trying to sign in. Keeps saying server timed out or cannot connect to server when logging in. Help?

I can do it but requires a hacked switch + overclocking to be stable
Can you use the playstation button to go to the menu?
If you have a PS Controller connected it shouldn't be an issue
Do not work it says that the connection is timed out with the playstation link
It said the same for me when I used Google Chrome browser. Try logging in with Microsoft Edge and it should work.

I used chrome and it changed nothing. And the next day it worked I don’t know why
How is the ps remote latency on the deck?
So far feels good for me, I feel it's more responsive vs the official windows app
