Great question @@solefreak2 it depends on the size of the gap, either a bit of speed taining then build up again or just maintain the marathon fitness with some 5-10 mile runs and go again

Tom, when you say salts, what product were you using?
1000mg precision hydration tablet in 500ml water the night before and again the morning of the race.
