@@SarahJane-rh3ouThe guitar does buzz a little more than others but still playable. I took it to my local PMT and that's what the Guitar repair guy said. The guy even said that's a problem with all guitars, some buzzing more than others. Check if all the frets are level with and old card that you dont use. Mine has one fret a tad bit higher but its good. My guitar had the problem of having the nut too low giving me a buzz on open string, so I put a rectangular piece of paper and put it underneath the bridge. The slot for the high e string was cut too wide, which made the e string sound like a sitar, just put a tiny bit of paper in that slot it should be fine. Mostly its just set up. Be sure to set the string height to your liking. The neck should be almost straight but with a slight bend so you have a bit more gap below the 8th fret. Don't push the truss rod to the extreme bends though, or you will get a low pitched buzz from the neck and truss rod. The one thing that could be better are the pickups. At the PMT store I tried a distortion pedal on an amp, and the guitar just has extreme feedback. It doesnt work. A workaround though would be to get an amp with built in distortion. Generally its much better for clean sounds than distortion, sounds pristine with a chorus pedal. If you're still unsure, just get it to your nearest guitar store that does maintenance. But mostly its just setup, they are very good guitars for their value.
It's all about the neck IMO. A comfortable neck makes all the difference in the world. Good deal for a beginner since most people give up when they realize the practice involved in getting good.
I have the Donner bass guitar, it's really pretty good too. It is very light though, which is good except it makes the bass prone to the neck dropping down. Quality though is amazing for the price.
Thats pretty good value for a beginner. Everything all in one. However, i didnt buy my first capo until i had been playing for a couple years. Man its crazy to think about. Im 37 and been playing since I was 10..... god im old.
Good and cheap I never understand though people say I'm gonna replace pickups tuers bridge next thing they spent $500-$600 and they could just bought an excellent budget Fender PRS or such 😅
Donner guitars are absolutely brilliant. That amplifier however, although it works, yeah you may want to pair it with a champ 20 or crush 20 and get so much more from your guitar. Long live rock n roll!
If your main issues are light strings and poor setup, that's not a lot of criticism given both can easily be changed. My gibsom LP came practically unplayable with a high nut that made everything a quarter tone too high on first fret. After a good setup it's amazing. Didn't even come with an amp or Capo... Go Donner.
Sorry for being 3 months late but I'll explain on my knowledge, so the cheap neck might be general wood or cheap wood with poorly finished sides and edge and more wider I think while on other hand, the expensive neck which is opposite of cheap one like the premium wood or expensive and with nicely finished design around sides and edges and more thinner neck. That's all I know
Basically, a cheap neck cant withstand things a non-cheap one can. Such as neck bends, a little fall or bang, and cheap necks dont maintain their shape as well because necks have a bar inside, and generally that keeps the shape.
my first guitar was a donner it was ok but i dont reccomend it for beginners unless money is an issue id much rather reccomend a squire around 100 more
Title: "I Bought the CHEAPEST Guitar on Amazon" First line: "I bought ONE of the cheapest guitars on Amazon" Yeah, if you lie to me, i won't watch the video. 140 bucks is not even close to the cheapest e guitar.
I just got a guitar and amp on Walmart for $63. Not a very appealing color, but if I decide the learning curve is too long I can give it to my grandchildren. These young guys doing the reviews, they pump up the distortion then tell us the sound isn't great. How would they know? If they wanna know what the guitar sounds like they should play Telstar or Apache. $8 worth of strings and 45 minutes of intonation and adjusting the neck is not that much to ask in return for saving $100 - $200. Btw,I got a new aiyima stereo amp at Walmart for $32 and a used pair of Panasonic bt22-lr for $75, a couple 1/4 to RCA adaptors and I have a very nice two channel guitar amp. I dunno why everyone thinks they have to use a full range 6" or 8" guitar speaker and some seriously questionable Chinese amplification to practice.
For the guy who made and who speaks in the video: your video is great and very Informative, but I have a suggestion that in the future you either speak slower or try to do fewer jokes in between which interrupt the main subject of the video.
Why does everyone price everything in dollars these days. Just give it it your own country's currency. You sound British so why not give it in sterling, I'm sure the Americans can convert it themselves. You sound so amazed at whay you got in the bundle, did you not read the description?
Donner Guitar Bundle (Cheap Amazon Guitar)

Cool video, regarding the post production, sounds like your attack on the compressor/limiter is set way too aggressively combined with too much ratio
I bought a donner telecaster, really good value for money guitar

they also have a donner lp
I thought that said donner testicle for a second
the thing I learned from this type of videos is that the #1 reason my guitar sounds bad is my bad playing
The wrapped strings with desiccant pack is a nice touch to avoid them rusting in shipping.
This guy is a good actor. Talking like he's never bought a guitar before but is an advanced player.
His voice is very annoying. He should probably talk less.

If it's wired like a HSS Squier Strat, the tone controls are only for the single-coils. No tone control for the humbucker.
Intonation is a very easy adjustment at the bridge.
The pickups probably will sound fuller with heavier strings.
After a nice setup and better strings would be better playing. Can also replace electronics
Looks like a fun package for a beginner 👍🏻👍🏻
I’m shocked with how good that tiny amp sounds.

I bought the Les Paul version 30% off during a New Years Eve sale. It has good bones for upgrades if you choose to do so

Nah, they buy $10 tuners, bridges, and $20 pickup sets labelled as Seymour Duncan's sold by certain online Chinese stores.😂
That guitar looks real good but I say that about every guitar tbh🎸
