finally someone who used the amp it came with to do the proper review, unlike these people who buy $100 guitars then some $5,000 amp
They do that to show that its not the guitar being bad quality sounding. Well they said that but they could've done both.
Any guitar will sound like junk on a junk amp.
@@doknox so about how much money for a good Amp, I don't mind the price I'll buy it??
@@ESP12345 boss katana 50watt is only like 250 and perfect for home use. I record using it too. Even sounds great for heavy distorted guitars.
@@doknox I have a Marshall Code 50 costed 300 but I've never heard ones that cost like 1000, which is what I wanted to buy
First reviewer who used the starter amp the guitar came with, I love that. Breath of fresh air after all the other guitar channels who always put their budget guitars through 5000 dollar equipment.
I know Fluff does that ALL THE TIME it’s soooo irritating
Max ,in my opinion, is a humble man .Take care every one and be good.
that is very true!
I know like do they think I can afford a 2000 dollar amp 💀
@@saltypotatochip4707 fr if im buying this guitar its because i can’t spend money on a better one lmfao (also i recommend the indio caliby monoprice its the one i got its reeeally good for the price check it out)
I would have killed for this when I was a kid in the late 70s.
I’ll bet you could get some decent sounds out of that amp with a couple of cheap pedals. Or, you could play like Max. Whichever is easier....
Im an 07 kid and I honestly would die for this
@@DaisyHollowBooks I ordered this PockRock effects processor to use with mine, $25.
ua-cam.com/video/F6BI3OWUy30/v-deo.html
Mee toooo!
But I bought a pawn shop, Vox AC30 for peanuts! All tube.
AND a Burns (Tri Sonic??) guitar.
I'd kill for those two now at 67!
hey i have a strater kit its called display4top do u know if u can gets some nirvana sounds out of the amp i only have gain, volume, treble, middle, bass could u help ???
I think a lot of people, not just young kids, hesitate to learn to play due to the cost of equipment. I also think it's awesome that you are
letting people know that you can purchase and learn to play guitar without having a huge budget. Great job Max!
That may play a part, but budget guitars have been around for a long time. I believe the biggest factor is lack of motivation. It takes time and effort to learn an instrument. There are a lot of people that aren't willing to put forth that effort. They may buy a guitar, learn a few chords maybe even a song for a couple weeks then set it in the closet for years. When it's time to clean it out, they try to flip their junk at a pawn shop or on craigslist for a couple extra bucks.
@@BigMateo24 yeah man. That's my point. A lot of people aren't willing to spend the money for the whole setup not knowing if it's something there are gonna be able to learn or be willing to commit.
I just ordered a GWL all in one kit yesterday ,$163 cnd delivered and tax incl.It looks very much like this one but, with a different head stock ,it's the Washburn head stock hope it comes soon.Take care and be good.
That’s def my problem, I want to learn so bad
Guitar is already the most played instrument. And the cheapest if we ignore pTrumpets. Every other instrument is more expensive to start. Guitar is more motivation based than other instruments, because school bands don't need 5 guitarists, but don't care about 6 saxes or 2 drummers.

I just bought it lmao 😂
@@jackshaffer1623 is it nice?
@@jerrychristy3182 yes it really is I’m just going to buy a better amp for it

@@jackshaffer1623 that’s sick dude I’m hoping to buy one soon but idk whether or not I’m gonna play for a while
These guitars always make me realize two things. Awesome chops and a good amp are WAY more important than a expensive guitar.
You are right.
you can always get one of those cleaning clothes at Guitar Center for the price you paid for that entire guitar package

@Bogey Man ?
Verifiable insane?
He did bury a Chibson so...
what does getting verified even do?
Buy a DECENT set of strings for it. Pay someone the $50 or so for a setup. And a beginner would have a nice guitar to start out with for barely $170. The amp should suit a beginner fine. I have one of those exact same amps sitting in my dining room for just noodling with. I started guitar in 1978. Getting a guitar that decent for $110 - with even the tiny amp - was unheard of!
@@simimadlani where can you find that? I’ve been looking at some decent cheap electrics to start off with, so, any help would be appreciated
are there any strings that you recommend?
@@Blwaxen ? You just watched the video about what your question pertains to... and he has others.... They said go ahead and buy THIS guitar, put new strings on it, and pay a guitar tech to setup if needed, and you are done...
I REALLY appreciate how positive you are in all your reviews, Max, even in your most candid of critiques about quality. That's the mark of someone who truly wants other to find something suitable on which to learn. Thank you, Brother!
Ever since I discovered Max's channel a few years ago, I've admired his efforts to take the stigma out of cheap gear so new players who can't afford Fender Custom Shop guitars don't have to be ashamed of rocking out on it.
at 0:45 seconds, I like that the color listed on the box is "SUN UNBURST"...
yeah, the burst is retracted 😂
Ik he didnt show it but i liked the white one
@@VATZ_ I ordered the Arctic White tonight, excited!
That's exactly what im looking for, a cheep little setup just to noodle around on, could care less about recording or being in a band, perfect for a bedroom hobbyist 🎸👍.
The amp sounds decent for the price. A nice first amp for the absolute beginner.
Wow it looks way better in person that the screen shots
Totally true!
Agree 👍... Its the hair
TAKE MY SUB SIR, the introduction and guitar skills were S tier
Thanks!
The value and build quality of starter instruments is miles ahead of what we had 80s/90s. I started on a Kaman GTX . I recall those selling for about $400 or so at the time. Crazy what is available to start off with now.
1 year later and this video is still so helpful for a beginner. you’re voice is also very calming so now i’m convinced
I got the exact same thing for Christmas, but with the other burst color. For a first guitar, it’s friggin awesome
This is the greatest guitar review and unboxing I have ever seen. You sir have earned my subscribe.
I’ve watched UA-cam since I was about 6 or less, ten years later I’ve actually found a channel that’s very genuine. Great content man, keep up the good work. New sub and learning how to play thanks to you.
😁🤞
It really is amazing what can be had for a C-note these days! Nice job and find.
Man, you just never know. I bought a strat copy and slammed a hot rail in it and bam, that thing rocks. If the neck and neck fitment are good, do it to it.
Hey.......if you can score a structurally sound body and neck for $100........its mod city baby.
Hello mim parts, and dragonfire pickups
@@BOBANDVEG Absolutely, the upgrades are up to you when you have something solid to start with.

I did a 3 day crash course in guitar wiring my first mod.
Opened the door to $6-700 guitars for $300
I bought a (oddly enough) Fender Starcaster for $50 and put a Seymour Dunkin Nazgul in it. (changed the pick guard of course) and the things is amazing.
Dude i put one in my Rogue and it completely changed the way I look at it now
I've just found your channel, and I'm so happy. I'm a lyricist and vocalist, been in several successful bands, but never learned to play guitar. Although I understand chord structure and progression, because I've played bass upon occasion through necessity. You have inspired me to buy a starter kit and learn; as band members tend to be fickle at best. Bless you
It looks amazing. The finish is great. And painting the headstock is a great idea. Looks so much better than the Glarrys. And the price... Wow!
Quality is way better on a Glarry than these BCP guitars alot of bad reviews on them for bad frets sharp frets bad nuts ect.
Thanks. I've been looking for a good guitar to get started playing, but didn't want to play too much for a starter kit. So you talked me into it. Look forward to seeing more of your content in the future.
How did it turn out?
I’ve never seen an unboxing so exquisite
you proved again a good player and your good amp can help ,,,as far as average music fans go , not players , who has a good enough ear to give an honest review ... well done
that mini amp clean channel actually sounds good! Most mini amps' clean channel sounds dirty and when you strum a chord, it sounds like vintage overdrive. Anyways, informative video!
Always love how you add an extra piece to your armor every time you do an unboxing 😂. Awesome demo dude!
Errrrreh
You are committed to keeping eyes at all costs, and I Love it! Never be normal here, keep up the amazing reviews! 🙌🏾🙏🏾
“ This tape is no match... for the edge of my blade”
I see, the usual "let's toss the manual away!" joke, a very well performed ironic knight of the realm performance, and a very clear instruction that having a guitar bag eases transportation of a guitar. Seems adequate. Subbed.
Amazing review I just got gifted this and it’s truly so nice for my first electric guitar thanks for the wonderful vid
I need to find a bass channel like this one
Definitely! I was looking to get into bass playing and find some good bass gear channel that reviews beginner-friendly-priced basses to get started. The quality of the channels I found was underwhelming.
Max did one bass video that I know of and I recommended he do more. So far I haven't seen any others.
Sounds amazingly good for a low-budget guitar. Thank you for the video on these low-budget guitars Mister Max they are appreciated.
Max you are one of the funniest guys on the planet. Whenever I'm feeling blue or just having a s***** day I'll put this video of yours on here man and it just cheers me right back up thank you buddy. You are awesome!
I really appreciate you showing different styles of music 😁
Thank you for your review on this. I have a martin acoustic I’m learning on and want to try electric without breaking the bank. Much appreciation
Man I just found your channel I must say I enjoy every video rock on brother🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Pretty cool. I wish more starter guitars came with black hardware instead of the cheaper chrome hardware you get on most of these guitars. That was a nice touch. Really cool that you reviewed the little amp too. Thumb up on this vid towards your suit of armor, my friend.
Great review thanks Max, in your hands the guitar and mini amp sounded not bad at all!
It's a good deal for someone to give guitar a try.
Thank you for the only real review I could find. Also appreciate your ASKING us to CONSIDER subscribing...courtesy goes a long way. But I suppose a knight would know all about the refined and chivalrous virtues, already!
I think it’s really cool that you went with the Lord Lord Farquhar look in this video! My son loves it.
I raffled off a guitar similar to this from BCP at a concert once. Signed. The winner was extremely pleased with it.
Finally someone to defeat the worst kind of snobs - guitar snobs! Well done! Great video!
Good video. I got a call recently asking about this package for a raw beginner. The person actually got it at a deep discount at a brick and morter location so I was like ya, for under $65 I don't see how it could be a terrible gamble. (They had a coupon for $50 off their purchase that day somehow).
I offered to check the action and intonation for them free, so maybe this kid will have a good experience!
Excellent review!
I loved the finish. It sounded good and for a first guitar... awesome!
Really good clean sound. And that guitar is gorgeous.
Just bought one today. I cant wait for it to arrive.
It's nice to see so many affordable instruments in the market. Personally I sold my Fender Jaguar a while back when I had to migrate from Venezuela and bought a Harley Benton telestyle a few months ago and I was so impressed! Was it as good as the Fender? No. Did it feel like a 160 euro guitar? Hell no, it played amazing and sounded pretty damn good. I sold it now to step up again.
Excellent stuff, very useful.
I honestly might buy one of these. I've already had an acoustic guitar for 2 years and im looking to buy an electric. I love how gritty the amp sounds. Thanks for the review!
From Leo: $110 and it really plays, amazing. The skill of the player is the biggest part. This proves that any kid can have a guitar if he wants. Push a broom for a couple of days and rock on. btw, I had some shirts like that in 1969. Most things do cycle, but the Fender Stratocaster never goes out of style.
I bought the sea foam green guitar and really love it. Awesome price for a decent price.
I bought the black and white one!
@@liya2568 same !

This guitar looks incredible
I found your video while showing my boys the differs styles, and I just bought by first guitar, and will be learning, but your review showed us the perfect starter kit for a 11 year old
I bought this guitar on August 19 of 2019 I've been enjoying it and it's my first guitar. Its nice I guess I hope to either upgrade it or buy a new guitar
Mine is coming either today or in three days (was suppose to be here yesterday) I’ve seen a bunch of reviews saying theirs came broken or it didn’t hold up... how is the current condition of your guitar?
I have recently bought one and it is supposed to arrive by Tuesday or Thursday ! I'll try to find this comment and keep y'all updated on how it goes ! I previously bought a ukulele to try and get a hang of what a stringed instrument feels like before I actually got one.
@@SantiDiablo17 the guitar arrived today ! Tuning it with the tuner was fairly easy if you know how to work it ! The guitar feels amazing, it came in perfect condition. I simply just don't have any complaints :) I'm very happy with my purchase
@@Celinooo0 mine came a few days ago and it came perfect I’m 100% satisfied
@@SantiDiablo17 same ! The first riff I learned was Come As You Are, a very simple riff and if you're not used to reading tab then it would be nice to start off with :) gotta drop tune to D though. Drop tuning D is where you make the E string into a D. If you want to remember the tuning thenn remember "Eddie Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddie"
Looks nice like the colour
I bought a starter amp I threw away in the skip electrical bit was shite then I bought a ibanez amp which I still got and love all these years later
He can make anything sound good, this video is pure proof!
I still use a $99 bass guitar I bought 25 years ago for recording. When I was young, long! time ago my first guitar was a Stella that you couldn't play two chords in tune , my next guitar was the third Guild Starfire with a Bigsby , As lot of guitar for a 8 year old😁 good review
Ok, it's currently on a deal for 85€ (105$) and it's convincing enough, I'll buy it, the amp seems to not being fitted for metal but it's somewhat ok on less saturated song. 85€ for a practice guitar and some extra cash for a decent amp might seems like a good jump into my electric guitar journey! Especially when secondhands guitars from the very same category are selled sometimes pricer than that in my area.
Thanks for the complete and detailled reviews!
Fun to watch how you released the anger of your Sheffield Steel blade to destroy the adhesion of the invisible seal. A true knight of the realm! Thanks for the review.
Voice-overs, Max. You’ve got a voice for it.
Sounded great to me. I really enjoyed the video. 🎸✌️🇬🇧
This guitar sounds super sweet for the price. That guitar has a very warm tone on the cleans, the pickups they purr like a cat. The rock you played with distortion is lacking greatly. Trying to find a beginner pack for my friend, and this will probably get the job done.
What is your opinion on the Lynx Pro starter kit?
I have it and it’s pretty similar. Decent guitar for a beginner, amp has an okayyyy clean tone, horrible overdrive though. I’d personally recommend buying a higher quality guitar and using a computer for digital amps until you wanna buy a real amp
@@jhogmafia90210 I use a Line 6 pocket pod Pro and hooked up to a Microphone amp. It's my portable setup for now. I've got a Marshall mg-DFX 100w but it doesn't leave the house. My current guitar is an Ibanez RG120. It's a practice guitar. (it's the best low price guitar I've ever owned)
My next guitar will be the 7 string Ibanez or Buy a cheap B.C. rich warlock and modify it with good pickups, strings and internals to my liking. That will be my recording guitar. Pawn shops are my favorite place to buy guitars. What's your favorite place to buy them?
LOL - These unboxing videos Max does cracks me up every single time! :) :) :)
Omg at first I thought what a deal! This set sounds great! Then I realized you've plugged that guitar into a high end amp. Nevertheless, the set seems like a good choice for beginners.
Max conquering the guitar world one box at a time.
I love that you say and talk about the 🎸
Love your reviews. Thank you. Also, where did you get that shirt? I want one in a dull blue color.
Just looking for my first electric guitar and I know nothing of that category I just started playing all together but I want an electric as well lol so I'm thinking a cheap one might be alright just to mess around on. Thanks for the review!!
I think it's super-cool that you cover the more affordable options.. for the humble, among us

Well I think I’m gonna get it now, thank you very much I just started in July with my acoustic and I would really like to get a beginner electric guitar so I’m gonna get it for Christmas I think. thank you very much I subscribed
Truthfully, decent setup & strings you're in business. Down the line throw in a set of pickups from Ebay. Good learning exp.
Dudes hair game is on point!
This was such a good video, Max, you have a great way way of encouraging people to play, even if what they can afford to play is an inexpensive guitar. Why invest more until you're even sure you'll continue. When I was young, in the mid 80's, a friend bought a high end Jackson Guitar, a Mesa Boogie Amp, gear, Pedals, etc., a small fortune at the time...he was a beginner, like me. I had a guitar from a garage sale. I'm still playing. He isn't. In the end , all his stuff ended up at a pawn shop. My point? Don't commit your money until you commit your time to learn, and have some breakthroughs, and then gradually move up according to your skill if you want. Years ago, I read an interview with Tony Carey (Planet P Project), where he was asked about the guitar he used to get his awesome sound...he claimed his studio guitars were all cheap $100 guitars.
liked it from the start...enjoyed this video
Love the video!
Loved the intro 👍
Looking for a good budget Acoustic/electric. The sale ones on Sweetwater are a bit pricey for my current budget. Great review!
This guy can make a yielding blade sound good. You do great reviews on affordable gear. Win Win.
he has a computer program he runs the amp through, you will not get the same sound out of that guitar and amp . maxx is a fraud
From where I sit - on my couch - I would buy that guitar based upon looks alone. The color sets it apart. I have 1 of almost every cheap guitar made in recent history. They all look identical. Sunburst finish. All these cheap beginner guitars are terrific. They all need some finishing - frets spot leveled, fret sprout filed, truss rod adjust, etc. That's why they're cheap. They have HUGE potential. You have proven that. You play those same songs thru same amp with a Fender strat expensive, we would NOT hear ANY DIFFERENCE!! Throw that amp that came with it away though.
Reminds me of my first guitar with the bundle. It was a les paul copy with a amp
That armor did it for me i subscribed
The finish would be the only reason I would swoop one up. Have no need for another cheap guitar but that finish really has me wanting one. LOL
one of very few reviewers who actually uses the starter amp the guitar came with, which is great. The other guitar channels always put their budget guitars through equipment that is 5,000 dollars of worth!!!
MAX RULES!!!!
